My partner and i were looking for a new breakfast place this morning. We tried another place first, but they had a 20 minute wait. So we came to Goolee's. Sign says it's the place where the locals eat - always a good sign. We were greeted by Jessie, who explained the restaurants differences from other places - no frozen foods, cake batter pancake mix and home fries instead of hash browns. My partner got the Goolee's omelette (with bacon, vegis and provolone) and I got the vegi omrlete (one dollar more, with the same vegis but no bacon and no provolone - go figure). I "upgraded" to English Muffin from the bread offered and also "upgraded" my home fries to add onion and green pepper. The Goolee's omelette was $13.52 and my vegi omelette with the upgrades was $16.70. The omelettes were good. I can't say they were any better/different from omelettes available elsewhere in Rehoboth Beach (ex, Robin Hood, Sammy's). The home fries were good, but I don't see why you wouldn't just include onions and green peppers as opposed to charging more for them. The coffee was fine. But not that good. Overall, it's a decent breakfast. Tasty, filling. A bit on the expensive side. The Staff were friendly and attentive. We sat outside and it's very pleasant sitting in front of the restaurant. I'd like to give a 3.5, but I'll round up because of the enthusiastic Staff/owner and decent service. read more

This is a place that you would like to stop in on your travels to the beach. The ambience was truly a local vibe with great character on the wait staff. They were very attentive and friendly. The western omelet was good. A bit dry in the edges. But the regular cook was absent and the pitch hitter did pretty good. The home fries. We're pretty good. But they would benefit from a bit more flavor salt or seasoning they were good but not great. The scrapple and scrambled eggs were good. The breakfast was a bit pricey but not out of range for a beach town. $45 for two. They could benefit from the morning wipe of the front glass from the salt deposit from the beach. $13.52 for a 3 eggs western omelet with home fries and toast. $3+ for coffee. We really enjoyed our breakfast there - they have some creative breakfast burrito and quesadilla options, in addition to the usual omelettes, pancakes and waffles. They also have a few yogurt/greek yogurt, granola and fruit items on the menu and protein shakes. A group with different tastes and preferences can all be accommodated by their well-rounded menu. read more

Amazing amazing amazing. My partner and I went to Goolee's for breakfast. We were silent for most of our meal because we were completely captivated by our delicious meals. I had the best blueberry pancakes of all time. They were fluffy, the blueberries practically melted into the pancakes, the flavor was spectacular. Our server and waitress were lovely, super welcoming, friendly, and engaging. I will 100% be coming back to Goolee's Grill the next time i'm in town. I love this place. Restaurants in Shore Towns are a hit and miss but this one is a hit. We wanted breakfast, did a search and took a chance. Come here. Very standard staple breakfast which is the best part about this place. Biscuits and gravy? Yup. Pancakes? French toast? Omelettes? Yup. Eggs, breakfast sandwiches and varieties of breakfast meats? Totally. I had over easy eggs, sausage and potatoes, one girl got French toast and eggs, the other pancakes and eggs. All delicious. Our server was absolutely delightful and made our time here spectacular, with strong mimosas and a smile and delightful attitude. I thought he was the owner, but upon checking learned he was a server with his own athletic business. Such a great asset to this place. We come to Rehoboth frequently and decided this is our staple breakfast place. So good. You should definitely make this a breakfast destination. read more

I wasn't quite sure what to expect having never been to Rehoboth before, but Goolee's was good solid food, the server was helpful, and the manager/owner also popped by, very briefly, to make sure I was happy. I tasted some of the home potatoes that I believe were with cheese-- I wish they did it more Greek style since the owners are Greek-- lemony Greek potatoes! Came here for breakfast. Once we walked in, we were greeted with friendly welcome. I ordered the Granny's Special. It was delicious. I do recommend that dish. The staff were overly friendly and made you feel at home. Great place. Tony's girlfriend here, couldn't agree more. The staff is great, location is good, and they have a drag brunch every third Sunday of the month all summer long. I keep hoping to get here for one of those, haven't made it yet, but I'm sure it's amazing. read more

Off-Season weekend getaway in November lead us here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. With the small diner feel a classic breakfast was what we were looking for and it's what we got here. Very pleasant staff great food great bloody Mary's great Mimosa. I had the "Land and Sea" which is an omelette with baby shrimp, chunks of bacon and melted cheddar cheese. Wifey had the Mediterranean omelette, spinach, black olives, feta cheese, green pepper and onions. Pics attached. Side Note: this is the first place we've been to where the menus were physically clean. In this day and age I can't believe how filthy the menus are in most places. My first visit I got the Greek Omelette which was delicious. The service was wonderful. After my visit, I fell and scarped my face pretty badly. The staff was wonderful in showing me to the bathroom, giving me wipes and bandages. They even offered a bag of ice, which I should have taken. I ended up with a bulge on my chin. They made sure I was ok. The next morning I can back and even the owner came to my table to say Hi. He said he was happy to see I was ok and feeling better. Everyone who works there are the nicest people. I had the peach cobbler waffle with a side of bacon. It was pretty good. I also love that the coffee was constantly refilled. Lovely place. read more

Decent breakfast spot near the beach. First off, great location! Can arrive early and park for the beach before having breakfast. Nice atmosphere and the server was very friendly. The food was average dinner food. Pancakes were thin and doughy and the Tropical Waffle was ok, but the restaurant used fresh strawberries, fresh bananas, but pineapple from a can. The fake sweetness killed the dish. If you are going to use fresh fruit, go all the way. Don't cut corners on one option. Due to the location and decent flavor it got a 3, could easily be better with a few tweaks. read more

They would've gotten 5 stars if not for the snarly server. Food was excellent. We went for breakfast. The usual, eggs, corned beef hash, sausage gravy, all very tasty. I asked for "crispy bacon" which is fairly universal meaning I want it crispy. It came out not crispy. I asked the server if it was possible to be made crispy without burning it. She snapped back "you want it burnt?" I said no. Crispy is not burnt but if they can't make it crispy without burning, then nevermind. She took the bacon away, came back with it lightly closer to crispy but between the lousy thin bacon and not cooked right, I only ate 2 of the 4 pieces. She never asked me if it was ok or why I didn't eat it anyway. I'll probably come back. Maybe she won't be there next time or I can ask for a different server. It's a shame, the food is good. read more

Don't understand why Grill already nasty at 7:30am. There is a 3.5% credit card fee they don't tell you about until you get your bill. read more

Let's talk about the potatoes...the homefries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We requested they be crispy and they delivered. In my eggs the mushrooms were sautéed perfectly. The toast is Texas style (sliced thick). My partners creamed chipped beef was good and flavorful and also a large portion. The coffee was awesome. Better than most restaurant grade coffee. Fresh cream was brought to the table, not those lil annoying capsules. The food came out quick and hot. Our waitress was friendly. The owner was also visible and in the dining room talking with diners. Stopped in again...loved this place 03/19 had the Papa for breakfast. I'll post a pic! The service felt like I was home in my Grams kitchen, the food was fresh and delicious and the price point for breakfast is spot on. An amazing breakfast that you could tell was made with love. Food came out seasoned perfectly (which I LOVED) and it was just absolutely amazing. Each bite was delicious in itself. The staff was super friendly and the service was pristine. We made sure to send our compliments to the chef and we definitely recommend if you want a really good breakfast while in Rehoboth! 10/10 experience, the servings were pretty big, and we still cleaned our plates (which I don't do much anymore!) Three words: Gluten. Free. Pancakes. Okay I suppose that should have been hyphenated two words. But still. I was SO excited to see they served gluten free pancakes and they were delicious!!! My 3 year old actually ate her buttermilk pancakes too (which is rare). The service was friendly and attentive. Everything was reasonably priced. The menu is old, my meal was 3$ more than what the menu here says. Also, don't bother with the sos boat. It has no taste.
