This came highly recommended from an old coworker so had to pop in. Perfect for a quick bite off the beach. Friend went over there for a turkey sandwich the other day. He said it was decent. So today we stopped in for a sit down. Got the basket of fried fish, shrimp, fries and chicken. Pretty good. Be careful it was the hottest food I've ever had. I had to stop eating and set a timer! You don't get much sauce with the basket. I didn't ask for more but I guarantee it would've been a charge. Since it was single servings Ken's sauces. I think we would've been better off splitting this. It was a good amount of food. Also got the mango matcha. That was good. Finding most drinks down here are really sweet. Is that because we're going south? Wife got a turkey BLT and she liked it. Her only complaint was how much meat was on it. In my opinion that's not a bad thing. A packed sandwich is what you want. Is there a reason you only get bottled water on Dewey Beach? We were not given the option of glasses and then it's $1 a bottle. I'm fine with it if I know ahead of time. Nice open seating. Perfect when there is a breeze. Plenty of Nu metal playing. So overall it's a good quick fix for the beach. read more

Went here for breakfast. Service was excellent. It is the only outdoor eating, but it's covered so it's fine if there is a little rain. Everybody thought the food was better than the higher rated place down the street (try the kielbasa). Highly recommend! read more

It's important to share experiences to set expectations for others. Based on other ratings, I felt this was a safe bet for breakfast. However, this was not the case. Our table three ordered two short stack pancakes, $11/each. One with Chocolate Chips, the other with blueberries. We included a side of bacon , which was the highlight of the meal. One member had an English muffin. Two watered down coffee served in Styrofoam cups and an iced tea, served in a plastic cup were part of our order. The pancakes and muffin : ugh! They were dry and grainy. Almost felt they used a pre-made store bought batter, low quality batter. We couldn't finish them due to the poor quality. The muffin was nothing special, again probably a supermarket brand muffin with upcharge. Coffee and Tea : as mentioned, the coffee was served in Styrofoam cups. The coffees was watered down. Our server never came around to ask if we wanted refills throughout our visit on any of the beverages. Service: we were never asked how the food was or if we needed anything once the items came out. The utensils were plastic. My coffee was Styrofoam, the tea was plastic. It's served with plastic straws. I would not recommend coming here for breakfast at least not for a coffee or a pancakes, and would recommend going across the street to some of the other higher rated places. read more

Sharky's was a fun American restaurant, with burgers and sandwiches. My table ordered their crab cakes, lobster roll, pulled pork sandwich, and nacho fries. I was a little disappointed with how little bacon was on the fries, but the serving was huge. They did not skimp on the crab or lobster, and the pulled pork was super tender. I was impressed at how quickly the kitchen was moving. Dozen of dishes were constantly coming out of the kitchen. My group got our food quickly but also felt welcomed to enjoy / dine for as long as we wanted. read more

Aggressively average breakfast place. The food tasted fine and it wasn't bad though I wouldn't eat it again. Not a lot of vegetarian options, and almost no vegan options. The smoothies were very icy. Randomly stopped here for breakfast on the way home because we could eat outside with our two dogs. The breakfast egg sandwiches are enormous! I got mine on a biscuit, which was flaky, salty, and buttery. Boyfriend got his with sausage (two patties!) on an English muffin. Great value for the price. I also got an order of home fries, which must have weight 1 lb. The potatoes were tasty, just a little on the oily side. Wish they were fried harder, would have been perfect. We have been coming to Sharks for years and love their Cuban sandwich. Great breakfast or lunch spot with very reasonable prices. Pair the breakfast sandwich with Nitro coffee and you have a breakfast of champs. They have a few picnic tables in front with tree shade so you can enjoy while taking a break from the beach. read more

Nice relaxing ambiance. Food wise, I've been here a handful of times. Each time, I've blamed the inability to get through my breakfast on the drinks from the night before. Most recent eats here have made me question that. Eggs clearly made from a premixed carton, no seasonings on anything, and the gall to charge 15 dollars for a gas station quality omelette. Close to the beach, easy to get to. Breakfast was fresh made, and quick! The three of us enjoyed: gyro omelet with fresh herbs in the tsatziki sauce, a wonderful and filling spinach and feta omelet, and the sizeable short stack of pancakes with eggs and potatoes. Outdoor seating only is rather nice as its one of the few places to actually be able to eat with the pandemic closings. Friendly people too. read more

I am sorry but who eats here? Location is great, and lots of outdoor seating is great. That's where it ends. FYI they charge for using credit cards. Today I ordered two eggs, bacon, and rye toast. I got a plate of the cold old food. For some reason, they added potatoes to my order why bother when you didn't cook them? Ice-cold uncooked old potatoes with old bacon and cold eggs. The toast was the only thing on the plate cooked. I asked the waitress politely to at least exchange the bacon. they literally took that bacon and did what microwave? Or throw it in the fry pan with old oil? I have never had inedible bacon before ever. And they didn't bring back the whole order? Not that it was edible so I guess that was a plus. Honestly do not waste your money even a drunk person, this was one of the absolute most disgusting meals I have ever had. read more

Waited an inordinate amount of time for our food and when it finally came it was cold. My husband said his chicken omelet had a lot of meat in it so he was OK with it but my over easy eggs were totally cold and served with cold underdone toast and cold bacon. Yuck. Assume they had been sitting out in the kitchen for several minutes while the overworked waiter attended to other tables. Had to ask for salt pepper and ketchup and then realized my toast had no butter so had to flag down the waiter and ask for that as well. It was a convenient spot to get our early morning coffee (although they couldn't manage to open by the advertised 6:00 am opening time) but wouldn't go back for food again. Truly do not understand how this place is in business with the combination of their absurdly high prices and lack of ability to actually produce food. I waited over an hour for 3 breakfast sandwiches (the average breakfast sandwich takes like 5 minutes(?) maybe(!?) to make). When I went up to ask where our food was they told me it hadn't been started yet. I figured they had just lost my order and asked for a refund but I learned that every person there had waited over an hour so not quite sure what's going on in that kitchen. Great breakfast spot and added perk that they are pet friendly! I had a spinach and feta omelet that was huge and I couldn't eat it all. Really generous on the size and filling. Hubs got the scrapple sandwich. He's ordered it to go before and the scrapple sandwich sit down was bigger or at least felt bigger. I highly recommend this place for a low key no frills brunch spot. I came here for breakfast. Read yelp reviews and was so convinced from other yelper's that they had great customer service. It was JUST OK. The hype on yelp is overrated in this since. There is very limited space to sit. There are 3 park bench type tables and stools around the exterior, plus another park type bench out front. You order your food, they scream your name a few times to come and pick up food. There's free coffee. That's why I wanted to come!! Bring cash, they don't take credit cards. There is an ATM on the premises, however there was a guy that was trying to get money but the money did not come out!! They were trying to fix the machine. Poor guy, that's the worse feeling. I hope they got it resolved. My breakfast sandwich was pretty good. The coffee was hot and just what I needed to help wake up after a previous night of partying. I will try another spot for breakfast next time since the food and service were just average. read more

2 years ago in July 2018 I was on vacation with my parents in Dewey Beach. The second day we were there we got up early to see the sunrise on the beach. Shortly after we wanted some place to get breakfast and at the end of Read Avenue about a block from where we stayed, The Surf Club Hotel, was Sharky's Grill & BBQ. It was a nice corner restaurant and we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed every bite we ate. It was a tad pricey but to me it was worth every bite. If I am in Dewey Beach again I will definitely return to Sharky's Grill & BBQ. read more

Very good sandwiches and wraps! I like the laid back atmosphere here. A few picnic tables set up near some shady maple trees...makes you forget you're sitting next to a highway. The owner Sharky is most always there which I really like. He is nice to talk to when he's socializing...a bit grouchy when he's actually working. I always get the turkey wrap here. Very good. It's a bit pricey at $9.50 but it's hard to find any cheap food in Dewey. A turkey foot long at Subway is $8 to put things into perspective. I have also ordered a turkey on toast at Sharky's. It's not on the menu but they made it and it was only $6. Nice sized sandwich and I took it to the beach with me. Free coffee; dogs are welcome and there's a large water bowl available Only open for breakfast and lunch. I believe they close at 2pm daily. read more
