Located on Madison Avenue in what looks like an old Hardee's location, the outside doesn't begin to describe the deliciousness that's on the inside. I found a wheelchair ramp, wheeled over, and I'll admit as I entered I wasn't overly impressed. It looks and feels a little worn, however, the baked goods looked amazing and the young woman working was super friendly. So, I decided to give it a chance. I will admit that I have no idea why "cafe" is in the name as I didn't really see anything other than baked goods. However, I do believe in cake, cupcakes, cookies, and other baked goods as an entree so I was super good to go. There are multiple display cases with a wide variety of items. They seem to specialize in cakes, though I suppose I should call them Kakes, and they've got the awards to show for it. I opted for a couple of chocolate fudge cupcakes. They have both small and large. I opted for large because, well, they're cupcakes. My bill was, I believe, $7 and change. Great cupcakes at a fair price. These aren't quite the behemoth decadent things some "chains" tend to go for. These are real cupcakes at a real price (the small ones, if I remember right, were $1.50 - and definitely not more than $1.75. Amazing. The bakery is clean but simple. There's a handful of tables so you can enjoy your item in-house. I saw one cooler that seemed to have some drink items. Basically, this is a bakery. This is an awesome bakery. They do have some gluten-free options. I did not see doughnuts, and I don't see doughnuts on their website. So, do not go there for donuts. (That was my attempt at humor. I failed). The construction made it a bit tricky to find but I finally located it and parked in the lot right next to it. The "menu" is posted with pictures on social media each morning when they open. I had an idea of what I wanted but didn't know how much everything was priced at or what would be available so I kept an open mind. When I walked in, the older woman working was very sweet and patiently went over all of the offerings for the day (not everything was labeled) while never making me feel rushed, which I appreciated. I was hoping for a slice of the German chocolate cake but it sold out quickly. I got my husband a slice of the carrot cake, which is MASSIVE, heavy, and $10/slice. I do think they should make the cakes go further with much smaller slices. The carrot cake has no nuts or raisins because I was told that's how the owner's dad likes it. Odd reasoning, where I wish it was based on a majority of paying customer preferences instead, but that's okay. The cupcakes are $4, I purchased one lemon raspberry. The macarons are HUGE and $4/each, I got one crème brûlée. They had some minis leftover from a shower they catered so I also purchased one raspberry for $2, which was still larger than a normal macaron elsewhere. I also picked up a lunch lady chocolate peanut butter bar (I can't remember the price) and an apple cinnamon scone ($4). The suggestion was to keep things I wouldn't eat right away in the fridge. These snacks lasted my household well beyond the weekend. I kept the carrot cake in the fridge due to the cream cheese icing, as well as the bar, but other items were in my baked goods container with the stone to keep them moist. The scone was INCREDIBLE and so soft, like an apple pie with caramel frosting. I should have purchased a dozen of these, haha. The bar was also phenomenal. I didn't care for the cupcake that I ate same-day as the icing didn't taste fresh to me - it was crunchy like it sat out uncovered for a while. The carrot cake was just okay, lacking in some flavor, but the frosting was nice. The macarons were yummy over a few days, extremely fresh, although the raspberry just tasted like vanilla (I wish it had some raspberry filling in the middle). Overall I will definitely make the drive to come back, especially to try the homemade Oreos and oatmeal cream pies I've seen advertised, but will likely pass on the cake in the future.

I chose the Chocolate Chip since it's one of my favorites. The process was incredibly quick, they didn't have me sign in or complete any extra steps, so I was in and out in just a few minutes, which I really appreciated. The store itself is on the smaller side and is set up as more of a grab and go location. As always, it smelled amazing inside, with that fresh-baked cookie aroma that makes you want to order more than you planned. I really love that Crumbl does these promotional events. It's a fun way to try new products or enjoy a favorite for free, and it definitely keeps me coming back!

When I got there, employee let me know it actually is Dr Pepper zero. I favor the zero over diet so that was a plus. I watched her make the drink and the coconut milk was barely a splash. They actually measured it. I asked her to put in a little more. Which she did. She was very nice and accommodating. I would suggest ordering online because there are several different combinations. From Dr Pepper to Diet Coke to even Fresca. They also do coolers which are flavored waters. I think this is a great addition to CRUMBL!

She makes pies, cakes, cookies, caramel corn dipped in Key Lime white chocolate, pretzels dipped in Key Lime white chocolate and salsa. There is also Blueberry, Lemon Banana Walnut Strawberry breads available. Her goods have been on the market since 1994, so I am wondering why I am just hearing about them. I guess they are some of the best kept secrets. Kim runs a woman-owned, locally owned business, but she does not have a store front. You can order some of her delicious treats on-line or you can try to catch her at a festival or event that she has set up a booth at. Kim has been getting a lot of love through the local media I ordered a Key Lime Cake and some of the Key Lime Tea Cookies through her website and picked it up directly. They were package well, fresh and very tasty. The cake was a bit smaller than your average cake, about 6 inches in diameter, but I was ok with that, because I was only serving one person.....me. There were about 7 cookies in my package. Kim is very nice and responsive. She worked with me to coordinate the pick up of my order. You can catch her at places like the Market at Mccordsville, Amanda's Market in Carmel, Westfield Markets, Hamilton County Spring Charity Market, Indiana State Fairgrounds, and various Holiday Markets. Kim ships her goods locally and nationwide and has recently expanded her goods to include Key Lime Vodka Lemonade and Key Lime Margarita. I will be placing another order soon and highly recommend getting some of Kim's goods.
