Friendly staff! Awesome selection of cookies, brownies, even pb turtle cheesecake!!! The owner was at the counter, eager to help every customer in line being as friendly as can be, and attentive to each and every customer as they were the only one in line, they have a great selection of cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and you even have free coffee while you're standing in line waiting. Highly recommend you rush in as soon as they open as they sell out quick mos, conveniently located on Washington Street in the middle of Plainfield plenty of parking nearby

I love coming across awesome local businesses. This an an awesome place to satisfy your sweet tooth. It is a Plainfield hidden gem. It is a neat little shop that is locally owned and run by one of the friendliest families that you can meet. I was greeted with a smile and they gave me a quick rundown of the shop. There is a small lot on the side of the shop to park. They also have a bench out front that you can sit and eat your treats while watching traffic go by. They bake everything fresh the day of. They have cookies, cupcakes, cobbler, cakes, pies, brownies, and cheesecakes. It is cool that everything is made fresh and baked the same day because they have a different assortment of treats available pretty much everyday. The only downside though is that they have a limited amount of sweets. I got there about 3 hours before they closed and they were tapped out. They only had some cookies available. I got 6 cookies (3 M&M and 2 Chocolate Chip). The owner understood that I drove all the way there for just some cookies. She was very apologetic and without prompting, threw in a couple of extra cookies. That was so nice and I will definitely be back. The cookies were huge and delicious. My 2 year-old ate a whole cookie by himself. They did not last long in my house and honestly, never had a chance. They are active on social media and do post early closing due to lack of goods, so I recommend keeping an eye out for that. I really recommend getting there early so you have your choice of the shops delicious treats. My major knock on this shop is that it is only open 3 days a week (crying emoji). I guess that is good for my diet though. Anyway, I highly recommend this shop. It is owned and run honorable and respectable family and their sweets are delicious. So there goes my New Years resolution of eating better.

Two Chicks Whisky Business is the REAL DEAL. Blown away at this shop. The inside was in full Gala with Barbie decor. The staff were incredibly kind and thorough. There is a reason this place gets, consistently, a 5/5. This establishment has limited hours and open days a week. That being said, well worth the exclusive hours when you try a bit of their food. I couldn't stop eating it after the first bite. We will be evergreen customers after our first time! The shop is downtown Plainfield and perfect for the Plainfield community.

We found this place quite by accident. We were traveling through this town while I was visiting family in nearby Greencastle. We were stopped at a traffic light and we spotted the sign in the window... Bakery and cobbler. My first thought was a bakery that also fixes shoes?!? And what about that Two Chicks Whiskey Business? What kind of place is this? My partner in crime that day (my daughter) thought for sure the reference of cobbler meant they also sold cobblers...as in cherry cobbler or peach cobbler (they do also sell those, but I'll go back to that later). When we got back home we decided to look them up to find more about this business. We were intrigued by all the reviews and pictures and decided we needed to go back there later in the week when they opened again (very limited hours since COVID). We also read that they close when they run out each day. So we headed out on a Friday morning to be there shortly after they opened at 10 am. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised at how adorable it is in this bakery! Everything is displayed beautifully and the place is so historic. Talking with them we learned that there was originally a cobbler shop there , hence the reference to bakery and cobbler shop. And they do sell the dessert variety of cobblers there too!!! ;) Thankfully there weren't any other customers in the shop at the moment (there was a line within a few minutes) and we could ask about the different selections. We ordered 2 m&m cookies for the littles in our group and proceeded to order cheesecakes and cupcakes to go. Everything was wrapped beautifully. Everything is packed individually so they don't get squished in a box. Even the cupcake box has special packaging. Everything was absolutely delicious! I'm typically not a big fan of frosting, but this was delicious. The frosting was fluffy and not too sweet. The cake was moist and the cheesecake was rich and creamy. I am looking forward to visiting this amazing bakery on my future visits to Indiana. This place is a gem!

Tried out @twochickswhisky and they are officially one of my favorites! We tried the cookie dough cheesecake, strawberry and wedding white cupcakes , and rice crispies ! Everything was , I mean 10/10. I especially loved the icing on the cupcakes, and I'm a fan of anything with glitter For more recommendations check out @bookeatsandbooze on IG

Choosing them for our wedding desserts was THE BEST decision! We go into the store all the time to try new things or get our favorites so we knew we had to use them at our wedding! We worked directly with Paige. She handled the numbers of each item for the order, made the items, delivered, and set up. She was on time. Everything looked perfect, but more importantly it ALL tasted amazing! We got so many compliments throughout the night from our guests. I've often heard wedding cakes gets wasted but our desserts did not! We ordered extras and went through all of them as people went back for seconds. The whole process with them was so easy and we couldn't be happier with all of it! Truly can't recommend them enough.

OMG! Finally got there and I got 6 cupcakes, 2 cinnamon rolls, apple cobbler and 1 slice of chocolate chip cheesecake. Very generous with the frosting! Moist cake and yes, one had a scoop of edible cookie dough on it! They male their baked goods daily so when it's gone....you have to wait another day. It is a very popular place so I went when the opened on a Saturday right after they opened and there was already a bunch of people there. I will be going back and getting more yummy goodness!

Terrific cheesecakes! Cookies and cream and Turtle were HUGE hits at our end of year celebration! Wonderful vibe from the moment we walked in the staff were all smiles and rightfully proud of their sumptuous array of cupcakes.cookies and more! Highly recommend you treat yourself and those you care about this ephemeral season!

Two Chicks Whisky Business now has their own brick and mortar location on Main Street in Plainfield. Right next door to Paw Street Bakery. Parking is convenient with the lot just east of the shop on the corner of Main and East Street or the lot west of the shop. I've been purchasing their delicious bakery goods at their Food Truck or on weekends at Orange Leaf in Avon for sometime now. I adore the various flavors of cheesecakes and cobblers. I was super excited to hear a few months ago they'd be opening a shop in old downtown Plainfield on Main Street. Their open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. The grand opening was today and I was warmly greeted by one of the owners, Rhonda or Paige's father from what I gathered. He was greeting and thanking all for coming while holding the door for those coming and going. He was very personable, friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him while waiting in line. The shop is cute, bright and cheery, newly remodeled, has a couple small dine in tables and extremely clean. The two bakery cases had a continuous line from the minute I entered with more customers entering as I was leaving. They had run out of a few items by the time I arrived at 11:30. The line moved quickly as one person pulled the requested bakery goods while another ran the square at another counter. It was very efficient and keep everyone moving with a very minimal wait. I purchased a few brownies, a slice of chocolate chip cheesecake, and a blackberry and peach cobbler. Everything is so fresh with generous portions. They did have to close early due to selling out so their busy preparing for tomorrow. Be sure to stop by, check our their new location and welcome them to Plainfield.

Cute little bakery right off Main Street. Nice selection of cookies and cupcakes. You can special order pies. I ordered a box of cookies-peanut butter, chocolate chip and M&M. They were all good. M&M were the bomb. Great stuff. I'll be back for sure.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite bakerys for my weekend treats and its a really great addition to the downtown Plainfield area. We like to catch them early on weekends as they tend to sell out quickly which says a lot about their baked goods! They serve a variety of desserts including pies, cheesecakes, cupcakes, cobblers, cookies, etc. Their menu changes eveyday so it's good to follow them on social media to see what tasty treats they will have that day. My favorite is the sugar cream pie ( I only recently discovered this pie) It is hella good here! The staff is super friendly which is a major plus! The store is clean, inviting and very aesthetically pleasing! Plus points for giving out military discounts! Again, great addition to the downtown Plainfield area. I would highly recommend them!

I've joked about the donut wars going on in Avon, Indiana as my life has taken me through Hendricks…read moreand Putnam counties quite a bit lately. Avon has at least four donut shops within 1-2 miles of each other - Parlor, Dunkin, Pana, and Carl's. Of these, Carl's is clearly the "local" shop. It has the look and feel of a gathering place. While the others do offer sit-down dining, especially Parlor, Carl's feels like a smalltown donut joint with its simple but pleasant decor, lower pricing, and comfortable but pleasing service. Carl's Donuts & Bakery is a locally owned donut shop (Pana is also locally owned, though a growing chain). Carl's also doubles as a cafe and also serves other breakfast items alongside its donuts. The major plus to this approach for a guy like me is that fountain drinks are available including iced tea. I'm constantly dismayed how hard it is to get iced tea in donut shops. I was dismayed to read Jen F's review noting poor customer service as my experience was quite the opposite with customer service being a key strength. The basics: Carl's is located in what looks like a small office complex with a mix of retail and personal service type businesses. It's toward the back. There's some accessible parking and appropriate curb cuts. There's a double entry with glass doors that were pretty easy to manage. As you enter, a dining area is directly to the front of you and to the right side. To the left is the ordering area - I think I goofed up at entry - you begin toward the back and then exit out the front path. I went in through the front, though there wasn't a line and no one said anything. The employees asked if I was ordering breakfast or donuts. I typically get 2-3 donuts and a drink. I stuck with this plan, however, given the comfy atmosphere opted to dine in. I haven't had much time to rest recently and it was nice to sit down. I felt a little out of place (everyone else was clearly local), though everyone was friendly. I ordered chocolate covered yeast donuts and a fountain unsweetened iced tea. They offer discounts, it seems to military, teachers, and first responders. The donuts had a slightly thicker yeast than some that lean toward fluffy. These were more substantial. The chocolate reminded me of Titus Bakery. The iced tea was great - no clue on brand. I could have stuck with two donuts instead of three and been satisfied. The service was a top feature here for me. They were friendly, helpful, and patient as I figured things out. I watched them easily serve a group of senior males gathering in one corner (pouring coffee, etc.). Carl's does not have a drive-thru. Their Facebook indicates they offer curbside pick-up. In future visits, I'd likely experiment with donuts. This particular chocolate is not a favorite for me. I enjoyed it, but I'd easily experiment. There's no doubt I'd return for the service. At a time when I've recently lost my last family member, it was nice to be in a comfortable, welcoming, and warm environment. It did my spirit good. I would also love to return to enjoy a meal here. Carl's wasn't packed, but it was steady throughout my visit and it's clear that Avon loves its donuts and it loves its smalltown gathering spaces.

Carl's is a locally-owned combination cafe and donut shop located in a little strip mall in Avon…read more The donuts are no secret as we followed a line of cars into the parking lot on a Sunday morning. There was a line of people waiting patiently to select their donuts when we walked in. There were many cases filled with fresh donuts, fritters, danish, turnovers and more. Two clerk were assisting customers, most of whom were buying several dozen donuts. I got a glazed donut and my husband got an apple fritter. The fritter was bigger than his head. My glazed donut was a cake donut. It was light with a perfect glaze. The apple fritter was like a coffee cake with lots of apples and a glazed topping. He shared the fritter with our granddaughters. There was plenty to go around. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have daily meal specials. The lady in line ahead of us said the pork tenderloin is the best in town. Pork tenderloin is only served Monday-Thursday. We'll have to come back. They have about 20 tables for eat-in dining. There is a unisex restroom. Stop #4 of the donut trail will require a return visit.
