I have been here a couple times for convenience, but not pleased with the service. they seem to have a following so maybe i have hit it on a bad day, or technician that was not right for me. the gal doing my pedicure the last visit spoke no english so did not understand about a problem i had with a bruised toe, and even though said yes yes - still hurt me. i am not sure i will try it again when there are so many options for salons in the area. sitting here while i'm getting my toes done and I just had to write a review. Let's start with sanitization. There was none. Just a quick spritz of a water looking fluid and a wipe and good to go. Second, the message. He did not touch the sole of my foot ONCE. Not with the scrub, not with the mask, nothin. I had to have a manager come over and show him what to do. Third, I had to ask for basic things in my treatment, when I was getting an upgraded pedi. I had to ask for hot towels, a proper massage, lotion on my feet, and to not aggressively slap my leg as a "massage". Downright terrible. Just go .2 miles up the street to the other place. I came here with my mom and we were so happy with the service! I got a gel manicure and my mom got a gel manicure, pedicure, and an eyebrow wax. Linda took care of us and she was so sweet. This is probably one of the best gel manicures I've ever gotten. She shaped my nails so well and the color looks great. My mom is happy with all the services she got as well. They do not require masks. I was here and people came in with no masks and they didn't say a word. Even the woman running it is not wearing a mask. What a treasure this place is...I love my french acrylics! Seriously, the best set of acrylics I've ever had. Linda has an eye for what shape of nails will fit your hand. She was very thorough at filing them down to a beautiful size and shape, making sure the sides were well filed so they wouldn't lift and making sure the undersides of the nails were also done. so first I called to make an appointment for two nexgen manicures for me and my friend and they told us to come in at 2 o'clock. So we arrived at 2 o'clock and there were three other girls there getting their nails done so they started on me and my friends nails then made us wait until all three of the other girls were done. By the end of this whole fiasco it had been three hours. I wanted blue NexGen nails in the shape of a coffin and my friend wanted white NexGen nails in the shape of a square. So they finished my friends nails and the color was right but she kept filing even after my friend said what length she wanted so they ended up being very short. Then I had asked for coffin dip powder blue nails and she said my nails were too long for the dip powder even though you can use the dip powder even if they are long. at my usual nail salon they do dip powder for any length so then she made me change my color to a different shade of blue so that she could do gel on top of my acrylic nail. you can tell in the picture they also did the shape completely wrong it is square with rounded edges when I asked for coffin. overall the two ladies working were very very nice but they need to work on time management and accuracy. Such a great experience! Went with my Matron of Honor and the Best Man's wife to get mani/pedi's before my wedding out on IRB. Snow did an amazing job in my nails. We had such a great time we decided to go back next year and do it again. I have found a new place to get my nails done from now on. I had gels on both my hand and toes. I was on vacation and just wanted my dip taken off and a regular manicure. This was during COVID-19 and the one person in the shop had a mask and there was a plexiglass separation between us. It was not clear the utensils had been sanitized. She just took them out of a box on her table and used a nail file from a jar. The manicure was sub par. She didn't ask me what shape just filed and then the polish was just dabbed on, not to the cuticles. I would not recommend. read more

I should have asked for Linda, that was the reason I went back there, my fault. I had made an appointment in the morning for a 2:30 pm appointment. She didn't even start on my nails until 5 minutes to 3. I get that they run a few mins behind because of walk ins but that's a lot, why even bother making an appointment! The lady that did my nails did an awful job with my acrylic fill. I specifically said oval shape, even pointed it out on the little card they have, they were pointy, I said please less pointy, I want oval and she made them even more pointy. At that point I gave up! She was really rough with the file and my fingers still hurt. I buffed and filed them myself at home but it was the worst nail job I have ever had down here and I have been to about 7 different salons. Do yourself and your nails a favor and go to V.O. Nails-pricier but not by much. They are quick and do a good job! 2 stars only because they do a good eyebrow wax for $10. read more

Bottom Line Up Front: the mani/pedi they gave my 6 year old daughter was fine. The store is a little run down and not the most sanitary but not dirty either. However, the manager needs to work on managing the schedule and the appointments as well as customer service. Longer version: when we walked in at just after 11am on a Tuesday, the manager asked us to return at 12 because she had other appointments arriving. At that point, the manager started to show my daughter the kids' pedicure chairs that they have. I repeatedly asked her not to do that because it would mislead her into thinking she would have the pedicure right away. She pointedly ignored me. I should have left at that point and never returned but by that time, my daughter was dazzled by the kitty chair and wanted to stay. We didn't really have any other place to go so we hung out for a while and went back in closer to 12. When we went in, they started my daughter's pedicure, finished that, and moved on to her manicure. I was still sitting there unattended because the staff of 3 has multiple other appointments at 11 and 12 coming in. When I asked if I would be seen, they said not until after my daughter was done. Also, apparently only the manager is capable of doing gel manicures so I would have to wait even longer for her to finish with her client. So...after being asked to leave and come back, have my specific requests with regard to my daughter ignored, and then have the actual timing of the services completely mismanaged, I tell the manager that I am done and will pay for my daughter's services and leave. She insists that they can take care of me and just have my daughter wait. However, I know that because she's 6 and has now been sitting around for essentially 2 hours because of the time mismanagement, she won't be able to sit around for another 1.5 hours waiting for my services to be done. I explain all of this to the manager and explain if she had just told us to come back at 3pm, none of this would have been a problem. Instead, I'm unhappy with her because of the time mismanagement and misleading information. She seems completely unapologetic. Cannot recommend this place at all. read more

THE THUMB ACRYLICS FELL OFF AFTER AN HOUR AND THE REST THE DAY AFTER!! This is an example of the kind of service you'll receive at this joke of a nail salon. THE OWNER who apparently has 25 years of experience did these nails on my friend as well as a botched and rushed gel pedicure. We showed a picture of the shape and length we wanted and got nothing like the picture. She cut the tip short AFTER my friend said she wanted it long, and continued to make the nails fat when she repeatedly said she wanted a skinny look. The nails themselves are bulky, uneven, and look like she didn't file them down even though she spent an hour filing. The pedicure wasnt completely done, rushed, and we were charged full price. The pedicure was shellac but was bumpy and with lines in it. The owner was pushy and rude and obviously money hungry pushing her to get a pedicure after she repeatedly said we didn't have time. They use previously used files and instruments which makes the job they did dirty as well as ugly. This ruined our vacation, wasted our time and $82. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE Edit- you knew what time we had to leave and after saying we didn't have time you repeatedly pushed us to get a pedicure that was halfway done. Thank god the pin didn't work for the 30 dollars but 50 was still wasted on these horrible nails. You made us so incredibly late for our flight and expect us to turn around and pay for nails like these?? As an owner, how can you look at these pictures and be proud of the company? The nails fell off in less than 24 hours! I mean how much worse can you get? Thank god they fell off because they just so damn horrible. I hope no one else experiences this quality and customer service. Maybe because you knew we were tourists you didn't care about how our nails would be left. Such a disappointment read more

Horrible customer service. Linda the business owner made myself and my friends extremely uncomfortable from the second we walked into the salon. And on top of receiving the worst pedicure of my life, she was insulting and rude. She actually told me that I had gross feet and aggressively moved my feet and legs to position how she needed to. At the end of the long tortured 30 minute pedicure that at one point I actually said the word OW, she charged me for a service that I didn't even ask for. My horrible experience wasn't even so much about the terrible pedicure that I received as it was about the angry woman that took care of me. I was assaulted verbally and physically by this woman and what was supposed to be a treat for my bday ended up being a nightmare I hope to soon forget. Since Linda watches for these reviews and comments back, I am hopeful she will learn one bad review after the other what true customer service is. A little treasure in IRB. I had Angel and ordered the #3 pedi. The whole experience was lovely! The massage was fantastic. Honestly, the best massage I have ever had. I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it did not live up to its reviews. My sister-in-law and I came to get mani/pedi for her wedding, which was the next day. Our pedis were fine, mediocre at best. However, when it came time for nails things went south. - Although we made appointments well ahead of time, there was not enough help available. We were there for over 4 hours. - I had my ring finger painted with a gold glitter, but she (the owner, I assume) did not wish to do it how I liked. A couple of coats vs. one. When I asked her to put more coats, she refused. After placing my hand in the dryer she grabbed my arm so forcefully that her nails broke my skin in order to paint another coat of glitter. - She caused me to bleed several times with her forcefulness. When she was cleaning under my nails she stabbed the tool in and caused me to bleed badly. - When I went to pay, she told me how much it was, and I paid. I (obviously) chose not to tip. I left, got in my car and was getting ready to leave when she ran out and knocked on my window. She told me I owed her money and did not pay her enough?? She wanted me to come back and pay more. Originally, I didn't tell her what I wanted to pay, she told me it cost and I paid her. I rolled up the window and told her I would not come back in as she was starting to get aggressive. I walked in at 3:55 and asked for my gel nails to be removed, then i wanted a regular manicure with normal polish. Long story short its 5:32, and i am just now walking out WITHOUT getting a manicure because i told her to skip the manicure and just paint my nails. she took AN HOUR to remove my gel nails. are you kidding me???? the rest of the time was spent painting on my polish. She then was about to send me to dry my nails without removing any of the excess polish around my nails. I will never be returning. This is by far the worst nail experience I have ever had. and get this, SHE STILL CHARGED ME FOR A MANICURE. I would highly NOT recommend. read more

Came for vacation with my family. Before I went to do my nails I looked at few different places and read reviews carefully. I found Linda from Crystals and I called for appointment . She took me right away since she wasn't to busy on Saturday. (Note that they are closed on Sunday) she did my acrylic nails and other lady did my pedicure. I am very happy with my nails but a little bit less happy with my pedi since the nail polish doesn't look too nice. But my husband did his pedi as well and they did really good job on his toe nails. Service was pretty good & thats the reason for my 3 stars. However my nails are definitely not how I wanted them shaped and have 2 different dips from the acrylic being applied unevenly. I was also cut , as well as glue being so stuck to my skin by my cuticle that when I tried to get it off with soap and water I couldn't & it hurt! I only paid $40 so i guess you get what you pay for maybe I'm just picky idk but you definitely can find better in the area. read more

I can't say enough good things about Crystals Nails. They do a fantastic pedicure and gel manicure...in fact, it's one of the few places I have ever been where the manicure lasts until removed. They take their time and make the visit worth the cost. I have never felt rushed and usually have to ask for them to stop at a certain time because they pay so much attention to detail. There are many salons closer to where I live but won't even consider trying them because of how happy I am here! read more

I've had pedicures at dozens of salons. Had a pedicure at Crystal's today because I was staying nearby. Tina was the nail technician. Amazing!!!! I had the #2 pedicure service. The salt scrub felt so good. She removed all my callouses. The massage was so nice. She really made it clear that she wanted me to enjoy the service and welcomed my requests. my friend had made an appointment for us at 2. we went at 2. we left at 5:04. they need to work on time management there were 3 girls ahead of us that weren't even done when we were scheduled to come in. the lady asked for what length i wanted and so i showed her and after she had finished doing the dip powder.. she filed them all the way down to the tip of my finger skin. she also kept going over my skin with the electric nail drill and left red spots all around my nails. overall the ladies were nice but not good service. read more

I've been a regular customer at Crystal's since December. My first visit was fantastic! In fact, until my last two visits my experience had been the best I had ever had at any salon. In March, I expected nothing but the best. However, when I arrived things had changed. There were two new women working. My favorite nail specialist is Snow. She does a fantastic job! I always get gel or shellac on my hands. After Snow does her magic they look fantastic. The other person that I really like in the salon is an older woman and I do not know her name. But, she will make all of your troubles go away with her massage during your pedicure! In March I arrived and only had time for a pedicure. Snow was busy with another customer. I had an appointment and was taken right in. One of the new women took care of my pedicure. While she did a fine job, the other woman tried to upsell me several times for a one hour massage pedicure. One of the reasons I like the salon so much, is not only do they do a great job, but they do not try to upsell you. They also speak English in front of you. They are friendly and hold conversations with you and make you feel like you belong. So, that was strike one for the new people. A few days ago I called the salon and asked for an appointment with Snow. When I arrived there were three women working. One was the woman who does an amazing pedicure. One was the woman who tried to upsell me. And one was yet another new person. No Snow. My pedicure was great. However, the woman who did my shellac on my hands was the woman who tried to upsell me last time. My nails are a wreck! I asked for a French manicure. The white part on my nails are not even. In other words, not all of my fingers have the same width of white. Not only that but the lines are crooked, they don't go all the way across my fingers, there are rough edges, and the shellac does not even go all the way to the back of my nail. I am very disappointed. I hate to say this but I don't think I will go back. When I was in the salon, I thought my nails looked okay. I have to admit I didn't have my glasses on. When I got home, upon closer inspection, I could really see how bad they were. The changes in personnel are terrible. Strike 2-5! Sad to find, then lose such a gem. read more

This place is really terrible. I went for a pedicure and upgraded to one with a lavender scrub. One woman knocked the sub off the table, spilling it on the floor and put it back in the jar (after it was on the floor), with her hands. Then she tried putting it on my legs. No THANKS. The pedicure was OK. After I decided to do a regular spa mani instread of gel, she was clearly annoyed and proceeded to file my nails way too hard, after I told her my nails were thin and sensitive. She pointed over to the pedi chair for me to get the nail polish she used (great service) and proceeded to do the absolute worst manicure I've ever received. It looks like a blind person did it. No arm massage, dry cuticles and a hack job with the paint. This was on top of nail clippings and a dirty towel sitting at her station (which i didn't notice until the end, because I was like a deer in headlights watching ny nails being painted. What did I just pay $50 for? When I asked the woman at the desk if she was new, she didn't even respond. One and done. read more

My husband and myself went to this salon for a pedicure. I also got a manicure. The sign outside the door said special $20.00 Pedicure We called and made an appointment. There were two ladies in the shop, The shop was clean and comfortable. We both got pedicures and of course my husband was done first so he paid for the treatment. The bill was $62.00 total for both of us. We had given a $5 and $6.00 tip in cash to the ladies. If my math is correct $20.00 +$20.00=$40.00 plus $12.00 for manicure. The price would come to $52.00 Okay that was one issue. We were told " OH Special Manicure!" After leaving the shop my painted nails (both toes & fingers) were gluey! So I called and was told to come back. Went back, had nails repainted However the top coat on one hand was gluey again. The lady had used two different top coats for each hand. I believe there was something wrong with the polish. So now my nails look like a 12 year old painted them. I am not going back to this shop. Linda N responded to comment was not accurate. AWFUL and WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! I am an extremely organized, detail oriented person. For my wedding weekend I called Crystal's to make an appointment for 8 girls to have a gel manicure and basic pedicure. She told me it would be $35 per person since we had such a large group. I physically stopped in 5 days prior to the appointment to verbally make sure everything we had discussed on the phone was what was said and make sure we were on the same page. Friday morning all 8 of us girls showed up and received the gel manicure and pedicure. Upon checkout she begins to charge everyone $57 for the service and acted as if we had never had the conversation. I was physically sick to my stomach as all of my friends and family now had to pay over $20 more for a service that was rushed and disorganized. One of my friends actually has an infected toe due to her pedicure. THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE!!!! Definitely want everyone to know that they can not be trusted. They continued to try to change prices for every additional service when asked about it. SCAM!!!! We even asked if we could all pay $45 per person and they said no. VERY SAD!!!
