Until my visit, I had somewhat of a negative view of the Red Cross (they kept calling me). After my visit my perspective changed to somewhat of a positive one. Information is key, and I'm glad to know that the Red Cross and its staff have chosen to make Douglasville their home. Very impressed with all the work that they do. We often take for granted their hard work, even though they continue to push forward without many people noticing their true value. What an amazing organization. Your blood is always needed and very seldom goes to waste. Many of my misconceptions were answered and now I'm an advocate for what you guys do. Thank you!

I've been donating there for 2 years and although I Don't always need the money, I enjoy going to your establishment. The personnel is exceptional, Zara, "who needs a promotion and leadership position, along with Paulette, Vicky, Jamaica, Kenji, Porsche, Tonya, Esther, Jareyll, Marcus, and everyone needs to be commended by the management and Corporate. I was checking out BioLife on May 14th, told has to be 7 days from last visit to CLS was May 11th, told to return on May 18th. Spent 3+ hours becoming a new member at BioLife, after the full exam, getting drained and told to return on Wednesday 20th as that would be 2nd in 7 days. I return to BioLife on 20th, told I'm still popping up in system at CLS, so return on 22nd today. Now, told that because I have popped up 2 times as another center, I'm band from BioLife for every!!! That's there rules, not anyone else's rules. So I have only gave plasma once in 7 days (Monday to Monday is 6 days) but, because I checked in on 20th and the 14th (gave nothing, no blood test or plasma), just checked IN, I CAN'T go to BioLife Plasma every again! That's just dumb! All because there STAFF us not trained properly. Spoke with manager stephanie , and she apologizes and says we'll train her people!

I couldn't return until I got the bruising to go away. I returned today and was told I wasn't quite there yet. I asked to speak with the manager and she was great. Told me she'd speak with the director about setting me up with an inconvenience fee for dealing when the injury and not being able to donate for two weeks. The director denied my fee for whatever reason. This is unacceptable, I was injured through no fault of my own by one of the company's employees and as a result was unable to donate for two weeks. I am going to be fully honest here. The manager was great and most of the staff are too but when one of your employees injures one of your donors, it's good business to ensure that your donor is compensated to some extent. I don't think I'll be coming back. I'll be posting this on the Better Business Bureau and I'll be contacting corporate. If the director sees this he knows who I am and can reach out to provide justification for his decision.

The site supervisor, Aaris, is extremely rude, argumentative, unprofessional, and lacks general…read morecare for donors. She consistently, has a disgusting attitude, especially towards black women. Literally, reported that my arm was in pain, and that area where needle was inserted was hurting! I asked to be restock in the opposite arm and she responded with an attitude, instead of giving the go ahead to be restuck. I explained it was a bad stick, which can happen. She explained she couldn't agree, because the machine was operating fine. She treated me like I was trash. She didn't try to assess, readjust or offer anything to relieve pain. I asked for an ice pack, and she still tried to argue. Saying my donation time would be extended? I had to ask for an ice pack with an assertive tone, as I was in pain. My machine ended up stopping and I had to be adjusted, restuck in another arm to complete my donation. Which was not a big deal, had Aaris actually listened or cared, it would have been resolved sooner! But she didn't! She chose racism over care of another human being. Her behavior needs to be investigated, she needs to be completely retrained!! There are so many great employees at this site, however she is the worst! Disgusting and out of tune with basic human decency! Better yet... because she knows better.. Transfer her to a site where she doesn't have to deal with black people or FIRE her!
