A shift in management? There's no way to know, but I hope the store realigns itself with the values of their prior years. I decided instead to take it to Daniele (who has done great work for me in the past): he took one look at it while I waited, said the only problem was that I had jammed it by over-winding it, fixed it on the spot, and charged me nothing. Parking was a bit difficult but worth it . We were warmly greeted and taken care of promptly and professionally. Everyone here is personable and very well educated in what they sell . My Mille Miglia was sent out to the factory service center in Florida for expert repairs. We had such a good experience here I bought my lovely bride a 14.5 carat TW necklace . Three people looked at the rings and quoted me $150, and said I could wait until June as it would only take a week. In June, I brought them back and they said, sure, no problem. I got a call later that day saying, they "didn't realize" the rings were platinum and that it would actually be $300. I went back in and said since it was their error that they should honor the price. They were very defensive, saying, well mistakes happen. This is literally their job to know jewelry. Three people saw them and not one thought it might be platinum? The taller man with the glasses said they can't be expected to do it for $150, they would lose money, but they had someone else who could do it for that amount. Ok, fine. Three weeks later, ON MY WEDDING DAY, literally hours after my husband put it on my finger, my wedding band splits in 2. I was devastated. I brought it back the next day, and instead of being apologetic, the same tall man said defensively, well your ring is thin. Seriously??! It's a standard, normal wedding band. He took it and said, I'll have it by Thursday. Again, no real apology by anyone, including the woman or the owner, who were both there. It's appalling. Today is Friday and still no ring. These people do not know what they're doing, and worse, they are plain rude. Stay away if you value your jewelry. UPDATE: The other ring, my custom platinum engagement ring, also broke in half. I will be attempting to collect the money I paid initially, as they have ruined both my wedding band and ring within 2 months. I'm heartbroken.
