10000000/10 As you enter this establishment, it smells amazing and has your mouth watering. My husband and I went twice during our trip as it was recommended by one of the workers at the hotel we stayed at. We each got a cafe con leche in the two days we went and also tried their pastries. It has you wanting more and sad we learned about this place too late but would come back as their lunch bowls looked tasty. Gracias! read more

Had a great experience at Cafe Cuba. The Cubano was exactly what you hope for in Miami. Crispy pressed bread, perfectly balanced pork and ham, and just the right amount of pickles and mustard. Service was quick and friendly, and the laid-back vibe made it an easy spot to relax and enjoy a solid, authentic sandwich. Bonus was eating it at the beach. I live half a block away and have walked by every day since they opened. I never went thinking it was probably another tourist trap with high prices and low quality food. It is not. It's good food with good prices and good quantities. I went in because I saw a special on too good to go. (A random plate at closing, they choose what you eat) for $5 and figured I'd try it. I took a photo of what I got and I'm super happy. I'll definitely be back to get the app deal platter and to get breakfast/ lunch read more

Really great CUBAN SANDWICH to grab & go for the BEACH & it's really reasonably priced (compared to all of the other locations & restaurants in Miami Beach). ONLY $9.98 for 2 big halves! And if you order it through the Yelp app, you can order in advance and just go pick it up (or from right when you're on the beach) it's only five minutes away from the 11th St. beach opening. The ladies kept debating with me about picking up my (PAID) order when I had already paid for it through YELP. And she kept saying something about a confirmation. The food was excellent, I had the original cubano my wife had the #3. We also ordered a #5 smoothie. Only two ladies working and it got busy right after we arrived. Very small building single high top seating for about 8 people total. They forgot our smoothie but got it out super fast once they realized they had forgotten it. Again it was really busy. Definitely would go back. read more

This is a must go place! I'm still dreaming about the avo toast and egg! The red pepper comes on the side so you can spice it up if you'd like. It was such good flavor and kept me full! They don't have coffee flavors but the plain coffee with milk was really good! The staff was friendly and the place is small but well decorated with a few barstools if you wanted to eat there. This place is a healthy option in SOBE they are open until midnight and you can get a fresh smoothie until that time. Their smoothie menu is LARGE almost overwhelming and you can also create your own if you'd like. When we came the first time we wanted a late night snack but the kitchen was closed (they close around 930-10ish) so we just got a smoothie (they were mid, but for me I think I chose wrong or the fruit to leafy green ratio is off). We came back for dinner the next night and the portion size the food and the price were really good. I was disappointed that the salmon was done because that's what I wanted but we were both happy that the moro rice didn't have pork in it . My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel nearby and woke up craving something fresh for breakfast. We found this place on Yelp and decided to head over to get a smoothie. We arrived to find a small shop that offered even more than just smoothies. They have juice, acai bowls, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, all types of coffee drinks, and more. I ordered a #15 which is a green smoothie that includes spinach, kale, orange, mango, ginger, and apple. It was really fresh and easy to drink. I liked it. My boyfriend ended up coming back on another day to get a breakfast sandwich. However, he wasn't very impressed. Overall this spot was pretty good. I would stick to the smoothies and juice though. So of course when in Miami, the first thing I needed was an authentic Cuban sandwich and I had to pair it with an iced coffee. I stood near the strip on south beach (The Clevelander to be exact) and I Googled the nearest Cuban restaurants to see where I could pick up a cuban sandwich. Cuba Cafe came up and it had good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot and surely wasn't disappointed. The cafe is a small shop but don't be fooled. Upon arriving I received a warm welcome from Esmeralda and she treated me as if I had been there numerous times. Her hospitality won me over before even trying the food, which I will add was great. As with all businesses, customer service is a huge deal and she truly understood that. The sandwich was delicious and the iced coffee, which she prepared with Cuban espresso shots, was the icing to the cake. I came to this cafe the final two days of my trip and I surely wish I would've known earlier because I would've stopped here everyday for either breakfast or an iced coffee during the day. They have THE Best Pineapples!!!!!!!!! Okay so they have this drink that comes inside a fresh cut pineapple. You can get a cocktail, a Michalada, or a Pina Colada! They also make virgin drinks for kids. I was so excited when I found it! Oh and you can just get the pineapple on the side to eat or add to your drink for additional price of cours or maybe you just want the pineapple no problem they sell that too! Pre cut and ready to eat! When I tell you guys I have never tasted a pineapple so juicy, fresh and sweet. Oh man my taste buds were in heaven. I did my food dance for sure. Amazing everything overall! My friend and I were treated so well! Jacinta treated us like we were guests in her home. She made delicious recommendations and it was clear she makes her food with love, passion and humble pride. Truly a special blessing to have found this hidden gem. This is a hidden GEM of the SoBe scene IMHO and I just so happened to stick my neck into find out why there was a line out the door earlier. While the rest of the places on Collins Ave nearby 11th Street are sit down and kinda pricey for what you get, this tiny little shop is exactly the opposite! Simply a pick up counter and go and quite reasonable for the freshness you get. Now that I discovered it, it's been a twice a day stop in for me on my vacation. Morning coladas (a very strong Cuban coffee) with Acai Bowl and afternoon fresh squeezed juice or smoothie with a Cuban sandwich to take down to the beach. What's not to love?? They also have fresh pineapples and coconuts if a cup isn't your vibe and they'll put your smoothie in those instead. Also the staff is very friendly and hustling to get everything made to order. This is definitely a locals spot and has apparently been here for a long time in the heartbeat of South Beach. read more

The coffee and matcha latte I ordered were 5/10 but the lady making the orders and managing the cash register was in such a horrible mood that I wanted to walk out of there without my drinks. She was a horrible person to have working there. So rude. I asked if they had anything sugar free to add in my drink and she said "we only have regular sugar" with a stank attitude. While visitin Miami there are tons of touristy places to eat with pricey menu options. It has been hard to find places to eat that are healthy and don't break the bank. Order with caution lol. I've never had a Cuban coffee before. Me and my were extremely tired so we ordered a double. It immediately picked us up, but hours later we felt sick. While we don't tend to eat in this general area often as it is so touristy which usually equals lackluster food and service at high prices, Havana 1957 was just fine. I'd happily return here.

The Caesar salad was about the same as a bagged salad, so not impressive. The croquettes were just ok...they had a sweet flavor that I can't put my finger on that I didn't like. Maybe the ham? At any rate, I didn't finish them. And actually as I type this, I'm still waiting for my check. When I called another server over, he ignored me. I finished eating 30 minutes ago. My server is nowhere in sight ‍ Update: there's my server and here's my check. I waited about 40 min total for it. Let's end this on a positive note: the girl who stands out front greeting people was a doll. Very friendly, playful personality.

The menus for pretty much every Cuban restaurant in South Beach are copy paste replicas so the menu had pretty standard options. I started with a passionfruit mojito. It was amazing, one of the best i have ever had. I also got a cubano, which was good, but nothing mind-blowing. My friend ordered the churrasco sandwich, but they gave her the plate instead. The server then brought her bread so she could make her own sandwich, which was a nice touch and the price was the same. She enjoyed it and it looked like it was cooked perfectly to her liking.

It truly felt like a hidden gem tucked on the corner. The service was good overall. I do wish they were a bit more talkative or engaging, but they were still attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food, though, was the highlight. I ordered the beef empanadas (definitely recommend over the chicken), and my friends had a tamale and a Cuban sandwich everything came out flavorful and satisfying. We stayed for about 30 minutes, enjoyed the laid-back vibes, and it was exactly the kind of quick, authentic stop we were looking for before heading back to the hotel.

I had the Medianoche sandwich, which gets its name from the urban legend of it being to "go to" food to satisfy your midnight hunger in pre-Communist Cuba. I also had a mango "batido", that uniquely Cuban jewel that magically comes out of the blenders of places like this. Talking about mango... you can also walk away with a large container of freshly cut mango for about $10! The perfect strolling fruit to eat as you walk by all the other cool spaces around the area!
