Ham & Cheese Croquetas (Happy Hour)
    Melissa S.

I want to start by saying this is one of our absolute favorite places to visit whenever we're in Miami. This was our third time here, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. We stopped by on a Friday for happy hour with a group of seven. We had a reservation and were seated outside almost immediately. The location is hard to beat, with beautiful views overlooking the park and beach, making it the perfect setting to relax. My husband and I ordered the Guava Mojito, the Passion Fruit & Guava Daiquiri, the ham and cheese croquettes, and the Orquesta Latina to share. Everything was absolutely delicious. Nearly everything we ordered was included in the happy hour specials (the Orquesta Latina was the only exception), making it an incredible value. This was easily the best happy hour experience we had in Miami. The drinks were excellent, the food was flavorful, the atmosphere was unbeatable, and the service truly stood out. Our waitress was phenomenal, patiently handled splitting the checks for our group, and always made sure our water glasses stayed full. Three visits in, this place continues to impress. If you're visiting Miami or you're a local looking for an outstanding happy hour with amazing food, drinks, service, and views, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Miami.

South Beach mojito $19. Pretty good but not worth the price tag. Drink some water, you'll be aight lol

Enjoyed it. I got a south beach mojito, cheese croquettes and the Cuban sampler. The mojito was good. It was strong, actually (not a complaint), but I think too costly at $19. Next time I'll just stick to water. The cheese croquettes were delicious. Nice crunchy outside, soft and pillow-y potato and cheese on the inside. I don't know what the green dipping sauce is that goes with it but it was delicious, too. A little citrusy, light. Went very well with the croquettes. The Cuban sampler is enough food for 2 ppl, in my opinion. I barely got through half before asking for a box. The roasted chicken was super good. Flavorful, cooked just right. I'm always skeptical about getting chicken like this at a restaurant because it's usually overcooked, but this was juicy. I don't know what they marinate it in, but it had a strong like flavor, which I enjoyed. The shredded beef was good, too, and seasoned just like the chicken. Same with the pork. I'm not a pork eater but I did taste it and it didn't taste too different than the chicken (am I crazy?). I left this on the plate. The beans and rice?! Absolutely delicious! And also piping hot. I poured the beans over my rice and man, it was good. The plantain add a nice sweet bite to the dish as well. I paid $77 for this meal, which is bananas. But I'm on vacation so I don't care cos vacation money isn't real....right? The weather was perfect t so I sat outside. Highly recommend.

My mom & I are having a girls trip and decided to reserve a table here. Don't walk, run! Especially after traveling. 10/10 service from the host, server, and bartender. We started with the guacamole with pork and plantains, the chopped salad with cheese on the side, and the roasted chicken with rice, beans, fingerling potatoes and sweet plantains (which the fingerling and sweet plantains were very little which is perfect!!!) didn't want to be stuffed after everything. It's the perfect meal to share if you have appetizers prior to entree. I had the classic mojito with coconut rum and my mom had the nojito which she said was amazing. We finished with the cafe con leche with caramel for my mom & for me .. it's still pending lol I think a green tea might be the perfect ending. The ambiance is perfectly lit, clean, organized and on this 101 day it feels like heaven indoors. I will be returning anytime I visit Miami for some Cuban food. Thank you for your hospitality l

This restaurant was really good and it's actually 2 restaurants together so you have options from both but we ordered from Havana 1957 specifically. I got the chicken croquettes as my meal but they are an app that come with 4 with a sauce. They were absolutely amazing. My partner got the traditional Cuban roast chicken meal which comes with plantains, rice and black beans. It was also amazing and very filling! For drinks I got the Havana Cosmo which I highly recommend. My partner got the spicy guava margarita, which was ok but we both preferred the Cosmo much more. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I liked the outdoor seating on the terrace because it's great to people watch on Ocean Drive. Overall, really good food and drinks.

The service was really good for the very large group we had here. The food was pretty good, but honestly I have had better Cuban food. There were tiers of appetizers, most were very cold though. The rice and beans were cooked well but the Ropa Vieja, was a bit on the bland side. In addition there was no plantains that came with dish which every Cuban place I have gone to, served at least a few. I am giving five stars because with a big group the food could have been a challenge to deliver on.

The place was average overall at best. Got in late to the resort and was very hungry so did not care about researching where to eat. It was right there and the best option at the time. The Lechon was good. Best thing on thy table. Cuban sandwich was average at best. The mojitos were bad. Not muddled and not very good. The tres leches was decent, but I would not order again. I have had amazing tres leches and this wasn't it. I would not eat here again not only bc the food was average at best but thy cost and value do not align.

This was a great addition to our short trip in South Beach. We were looking for somewhere to try a variety of authentic Cuban flavors and Havana 1957 delivered. We made a reservation but a weekday at 6pm it wasn't necessary. However if coming on the weekend, I would recommend planning ahead. Our server Alex was excellent! Attentive, friendly and even fixed our table from rocking for us, which really showed the level of hospitality provided. We chose to escape the heat and sit inside and didn't feel like we were missing any ambiance by being inside. Everything we tried from the menu was delicious. We started with the Cuban combo appetizer and for entrees the snapper fish for him and braised flank steak for me. There was so much food and not a single miss. The yuca fries, empanadas and pork bites were standouts but truly I loved every single bite. The flavors were exceptional! I enjoyed a NA mojito and he had the classic mojito. Both served with a slice of sugar cane and the perfect herbaceous mint. They offer live music on the weekends and you're just steps from the ocean, the perfect place to stroll after dinner. I highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a great meal.

Wanted something comforting and tasty so I made my way over to Havana 1957. The service here is sublime and the food matches the service! There is both outdoor and indoor seating, I opted for indoor to get a little reprieve from the heat. If you want to have a great dining experience here, I highly encourage you to try the Cuban sampler! It is a platter of Havana 1957 Chicken, Ropa Vieja and pork shoulder, served with white rice, black beans, house sweet plantains. This was absolutely delectable and very filling! You'll want to head straight to the sand for a nap. I'll be back soon to enjoy this same thing or may be adventurous and try something else!

I'm a fan of this Cuban restaurant chain, having enjoyed their plates at a couple of other locations. This spot, in the heart of South Beach, was my dinner spot for "Big Game" Sunday when I came to the beach to meet a friend. We requested an inside table, partly to warm up from a chilly beach stroll as well as near a TV. Our waitress Lulu was a rockstar, friendly and attentive with her dessert recommendation as well as with our plating. Besides watching the Super football game, we also enjoyed the people watching of a few other patrons. Drinks: my friend chose a spicy margarita while I enjoyed my usual mojito. I like that their mojito is well blended and presented with both the mint leaf & sugar cane stick. The margarita was rimmed with tajin, and also well blended and with a kick from the jalapeno. For dinner, we both chose Cuban food Classics. She ordered a Palomilla steak that was pretty juicy and tasty. The yucca and moros that came with the order we're plenty enough to have leftovers. Likewise, my half chicken was really sizable with a lot of meat and seasoned with a delicious. Mojo gravy, and also leftover for dinner tonight. My sides, black beans, white rice, and a bonus of roasted potatoes. The moros that came with my plate the spot as well. They taking home leftovers, there was still enough food for dessert. I highly recommend their table or side dead complete that it was as tasty as it was aesthetically pleasing.

Wonderful! Great service and very good food. Liz, our server, was great. Gracias!! we watched Argentina play and they let us hang out to finish watching. Great experience.

Highly rated Cuban spot in OT where you can make reservations. Came here on a Saturday night and it was lively with a live 3 piece band and dancing wait staff. Not a place you go to have conversation because the band will drown you out but they sounded great and everyone enjoyed the entertainment. Pros: guacamole served with fried plantain chips topped with fried pork chunks Ceviche Traditional Cuban pork bowl Cons: They will add on a "live entertainment fee" which was a shock to me. Fingers crossed that my corporate expense team doesn't flag this on my expense report! Eek! ($5 a person) This is the reason I cannot give this place 5 stars

I mean, you eat on Ocean Drive for the iconic street location, and dining on the sidewalk here was by far my favorite part here -- a constant supply of people watching makes dinner fly by (and even encourages a post-meal cocktail or two, which they're happy to provide). The food is solid and filling, though I wouldn't say it was spectacular -- the chicken was a bit too tough, but the plantain was awesome. It seems like a good choice if you want to try Cuban food while visiting South Beach (and I mean, c'mon, you should!!), but I personally found the restaurants in Little Havana a bit more memorable if you're willing to venture outside South Beach.
