I like the sandwiches and bleu cheese fries at Cubby's. This location did not seem as busy as others, which was a good thing. We got right in and ordered. Our food came out before we got our drinks filled. I have tried their salads as well which are very good. The tri-tip sandwich with sweet sauce and bleu cheese bacon topping was very yummy. The size was huge and I had trouble eating the sandwich with fries. There is definitely no shortage of food in the order, which is reflected in the price. I really enjoyed their selection of Burgers and Fries. I don't know that I feel strongly about either really... they were good, but I've had better. I enjoyed their creativity when it comes to the ingredients for the burgers. The burgers have a thick patty, but it's not too overwhelming. The portion left you content, but not super full. Having tried both the Dragonslayer and the Gypsy Burger I would have to say that I preferred the Gypsy. They were both good, but I liked the Gypsy much better partly because I prefer carmelized onions over raw onions on my burger. I tried the rosemary fries as well... They were good and came in bigger portion than expected, but I wasn't crazy about them. My friend and I tried the Rice Krispie Treat and found it to be salty. It also had some other spice in it we couldn't quite detect which made it unique. But I couldn't quite get over the overpowering saltiness... I liked the energy of place. I thought it was clever of them to put outlets in the booths so you could work while eating. I ordered online to avoid the rush, and, despite arriving after my order was supposed to be finished, it had not been started. There was one person ordering when I arrived. I waited 40 minutes for 3 burned hamburgers, two salads, and 3 orders of fry's. Pretty pitiful service. I watched close to ten orders go in and out while we waited. At least the meal was terribly overpriced at nearly $90. Save your money and time and go to Chubby's instead. Ten times the meal and service at half the price! read more

Burgers my son and I got were really good. The salad my wife got was not any better than a salad from Wendy's. Quite disappointing on the salad. The shakes were only filled 2/3s of the cup. Right after, the same girl brought out shakes that were filled to the brim. Kind of an expensive shake to only give you a cup filled 2/3s of the way. Probably wouldn't make a trip here again. I'm normally not much of a salad eater, but their tri-tip steak salad is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always great, enhancing already great food. They loved them. The two older kiddos both got cockadoodledoo's and really liked them. My wife got the Mr. Beef and hated it. Went to cubby's at 6:30 on a Friday night with a group of 3 people. The line was fairly short when we got there but waited for 45 minutes to get our food. I really love Cubby's. . . At least I used to love it. The last few times I've been there have been really bad. Tonight I paid for my "to go" order and when I got home half my food was missing, the fries were so undercooked they had the consistency of noodles, my tri tip salad was more fat than meat, and the tri tip tacos had very little meat topped with a mountain of slaw to hide the lack of meat. There were only 4 parties in the restaurant and no cars in the curbside parking stalls. It wasn't very busy and there seemed to be no sense of urgency to get orders out promptly. Their sweet potato fries are a five star item with a crispy outer edge and soft interior. They taste best in the store--beware soggy softness if you take them to go (but that happens to all fries). A tad overpriced, but a nice selection of sandwiches. Their trip tip salad used to be the stuff of legend, but I would not even recommend it now (sad). Finally, ordered a couple of iced teas and were surprised when we went to the drink area that they didn't have an unsweetened tea option - just sweetened black and raspberry tea. They were having computer system issues when we were there. Also, sending paperless receipts to email is ingenuity at work... but I would suggest that you do it from an actual corporate domain email address, not a Gmail email address. HOWEVER, $10 for a sandwich without fries or a drink? That's madness! We have been loyal customers since this place opened. This night, we placed an online order with a pick up time of 7:15. When we got there to pickup our food, they said they start making it when you arrive, well, that defeats the point Of a pick up time I would say. After waiting 45 minutes, with still no food,even though we had already paid online prior to arriving, we said they should refund our money for the inconvenience, they did and would not give us our food.
