I ordered the Monday special of a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink combo. The burger itself was really tasty. It reminded me of a higher quality larger big mac. The fries were too salty but I would attribute that to just putting a little too much salt on them rather than an actual negative. The fries were hot with a crispy outside and soft center and they were a decent portion. I also got the scone and it was warm and yummy. The honey butter really makes it. So I tried them again. They have completely removed all the prices from their drivethru. But inside, their menu still has prices posted - with a sign on it saying "prices are not accurate. Please ask for current prices." The app (they are using squaretrade) has the current prices. In comparing those prices with what's on their menu they are roughly 2x higher. It really pains me to say it because I want this place to succeed but, how do you run a business like this? You can't even update your prices on the menu? Wonderful little place in a small town. This is the definition of Americana. It's a small dinner with limited seating but that's part of the small town feel, the two young lady's who served me where quick to greet me and once available got me ordered up. The service was at a great pace and the staff is very friendly. I got the granny which is from what I was told their signature dish, the fries are cooked perfectly crisp on the out side and soft on the inside. We have eaten here before and it has never been anything out of this world, but it has been ok for a burger place. They had a new philly cheese steak sandwich so I decided to try it and it was incredible! It was so large that I couldn't eat it all in one meal. It was juicy and delicious and so I thought I would try it again. Fast forward to a week later. My husband went and got food for 3 of us. We wanted onion rings INSTEAD OF the fries that came with the sandwiches. We got charged for both. My husband said that there were just kids running the place and they didn't seem too interested in customer service. This time, my philly cheesesteak sandwich was horrible! It was dry, no sauce on it al all, and the meat was way over cooked and the onions were dry. There was one small piece of red pepper and I ended up throwing most of it away. It was about 1/2 the size of the last one that I ate. Even the onion rings were way over cooked and were not very good. My ten year old grandson who doesn't complain said that his food was so overcooked, he couldn't eat it. My husband's sandwich was good he said but his onion rings were too done and we ended up throwing them away. So needless to say, we were not pleased with this visit at all. We get our Christmas tree outside of Eureka every year and have noticed this place a couple times before trying it for the first time today. Eating at the Santa Queen is going to be part of our annual tradition! My big family got plenty of food for a great price. My husband and I came here for lunch around 2pm. We really loved our burgers. I got the double cheese and he got the Western. The fries are yummy as well as the sauces. The place is dirty and disgusting. All of the tables were dirty and we had to ask for a rag to wipe one down. EXPENSIVE! It was $70 to feed 2 adults and 3 children. Food was not good and we didn't even eat it. We had to ask for the tartar sauce for the fish and the honey butter for the scones and the workers acted all put out that we asked. Santaqueen Drive Inn was a stopping place when I went camping down south as a kid. They used to have the best onion rings, but have not stayed the same over the years. My family stopped here on the way home from a trip down south. The food is similar to Arctic Circle with prices a bit more though. Onion rings are still big sweet onions, but now they are over battered by about three times what is needed. I suggest doing the drive through as the place is not the cleanest and drinks do not include a refill. Not a bad place to eat, but there are much better places around for the money. read more

If I could give zero, or negative stars, I would. This place seemed quaint upon arrival, but things went downhill quickly from there. The staff was entirely comprised of teenagers, more concerned with their friends at the counter. Even though it was not particularly busy, we waited 35+ minutes for our food and had no communication from the staff. Meanwhile, other customers came and went, all with their food. Additionally, and most importantly, the food handlers did not use gloves, did not appear to wash their hands and constantly touched their face and hair, only to immediately touch the food they were preparing. Normally you don't ask for tips in customer service (especially at a drive up window???) and if you get one you are lucky. Pretty disappointed with all of my experiences here. Every time I have been to Santa Queen, my order has been wrong. I showed my kids the peep shakes and we called ahead for those and some fries. The shakes are usually good, but we were given what I think is peach. It's hard to tell, it mostly tastes like vanilla and no peep on top. My children were upset. Each time we've been there and had to ask for an item that was missed/wrong, we'd have to wait another 20 minutes for our food. I just took the peach shakes and stopped at the store for peeps. I think that will be the last time I go there. If it were just once or twice with a wrong order it would be fine, but this has been every time I have gone.
