Love cube tea studio!!! Stopped here after dinner at Soup Dumpling STL next door. There is a parking lot with a decent amount of spots (we've never had trouble parking) I ordered at the kiosk and my drink took less than 10 minutes until it was ready. I got the mango milk tea!! Solid boba spot in STL! The line was long (maybe ~6-10 people ahead of us) and my partner said it's always this long when he visits Olive. I got the lychee milk tea with crystal boba. This is the only place I know of that does lychee with milk - such an interesting combo! It was creamier rather than milkier and had a mild lychee flavor to it vs. the strong lychee you get with a lychee green tea. The pearls were bouncy and like a harder jelly - the usual crystal pearl texture for those that usually get it (also called white pearls at other spots). In terms of ambiance, it's not a usual boba spot with seating and such but a takeout only boba place right by the entrance of a supermarket. It's definitely a grab and go environment. I believe you can order online but we ordered at the register. There's tons of flavors listed above the register so would recommend looking up the menu ahead of time so it's less overwhelming. Cube Tea is passable for St. Louis standards. But any of the large bubble tea chains or franchises like Kung Fu Tea or Sharetea has better drinks. Their menus are paper menus on clipboards, which gives off a cheap impression. Their drinks are expensive for the size of their cups. I paid over $5 for a cup of milk tea that looked like it was barely eight ounces. I had the jade black milk tea. It tasted watered down like my ice melted as soon as I got my drink handed to me. Also Cube Tea has a problem where its drinks aren't sweet enough-completely opposite of the usual problem of bubble tea stores having drinks that are too sweet. Cube Tea is right next to the Asian market. Cube Tea could easily be mistaken as a part of the Asian Market given that it's right next to the entrance of the Asian market. It was like 4 guys behind the counter of the small shop which is directly next to Olive market. All of the drinks are priced $5.50 and up, so very expensive even for a small. I think the most I have paid for a boba milk tea might be almost mid $5's, but $6-7 is outrageous. The tea was pretty quality stuff (fresh and real tea), but the boba was way too soft and not chewy at all. I am still very turned off by the ridiculous prices, so I do not think I would come back. It's crazy how this place thinks they can charge like $2 more than all the other shops in the area. read more

I ordered my go-to order: a jasmine green milk tea, 25% sugar with boba. The boba itself was sweet and yummy. The tea was a little too "milky" and I wish there was more tea flavor. The cup was cute! New boba place?! Must...check out.... NOW I mentioned this place to my spouse and I think we checked it out the very next day. I think the only reason we didn't go the same day was because it was already closed when I got home. Cube Tea Studio is right next to Olive Supermarket, there's not a big sign so you might miss it. The set up of the store is a little awkward. The register is right at the entrance of the store, so when you enter you have to walk around the people that are ordering. There are only two sets of menus printed out. They really need to display the menu in large print somewhere else in the store. The menu is right next to the register which makes it really difficult to try to get to if they are busy. The place does look clean though and has a very minimalistic feel. We decided to share and ordered the Premium Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba in a large size with full sugar and less ice. I really enjoyed the tea, though it wasn't as sweet as I was expecting, which I actually preferred. The boba was nice and soft... FINALLY a place that has soft boba. Though... the boba tasted a little different than what I'm used to, and.. it actually could've been a little firmer. Still one of the best or the best boba places in town. Located to the left of the entrance to the Olive Supermarket, Cube Tea Studio is my new favorite spot to grab a trendy cream cheese foam tea. The small staff are nice and will work unceasingly to make sure you get your drink in a timely manner. Note that the space is small, so it's perhaps best to take the drink to go. If you've never had cream cheese foam in your tea, don't knock it until you try it. The cream cheese foam has a whipped, creamy consistency. It's slightly salty with a hint of sweetness, similar to a smooth and less sugary New York cheesecake filling. There is no wrong way to enjoy this drink, but my favorite way is to stir the cream cheese foam into the tea until it's well-blended, then drink without a lid. I've tried three of the salted cream cheese slush flavors: peach, mango, and strawberry. All were made with fresh fruit! I loved the mango and strawberry ones. They had a natural sweetness, were very fresh, and blended well with the tea. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the peach. It was made with an unripe peach, so it was bland. Perhaps it wasn't blended well enough either - every sip tasted like water with ice and peach texture. Note that none of the slush drinks come with boba, so you'd have to ask to add it in. Overall, the tea here are satisfactory to my taste, so rest assured I'll be back to try even more flavors. Next time, I may even venture beyond the slush tea. read more

Was extremely surprised to see such a high avg rating for this place. Overall, it's a small takeout spot (no seating available) that's quite clean and modern looking. My partner and I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea, but got a rose oolong instead, not an egregious mistake. But the drink was a bit of a let down, the drink itself was noticably watery and the boba was slightly overcooked and wasn't as springy as I would have liked. Given that it's located next door to my Asian grocery store of choice, I'll probably give it one more shot before I cast it off my list. read more

This is quite good. They use fresh ingredients. This place is literally attached to the supermarket, and it is located next to the supermarket entrance. It is an awkward place, but it is there. There is no seating. It is a pick-up place but very, very tiny. 1. It is expensive, cost slightly $1 to $3 more than the average teashop, especially that this is a micro shop with low overhead cost. 2. They use real sugar, and this is a healthier option. However, milk tea is never healthy in the first place. 3. The boba is fresh and delicious! 4. I order the classic jasmine milk tea with a quarter sugar, and it is still too sweet. This drink is more milky than tea, and the tea is fairly weak in comparison to the foundry bakery. 5. I would rank this #3. #2 is Share Sweet. #1 is The Foundry Bakery. They have so many flavors on the menu that actually taste accurate to the names; some of my favorites are taro and winter melon. I generally find boba too sickly sweet so I make sure to get 0% sugar, though it will still taste quite sweet. I recommend getting less to 0% sugar if you're like me. Obsessed! read more
