I drive past this place every day and had never set foot inside until today. Bubble tea just wasn't on my radar for something to try and I didn't even realize that I could get lunch here. But what a lovely little spot. I didn't have a clue about what to order and the lovely young woman behind the counter was so patient and helpful with me. I got a passion fruit flavored green tea with strawberry and mango fruit "poppers". It was just a fun drink. I also got an order of the fried dumplings and I polished those off all by myself. It's not a fancy place. But the tables were clean and the space was airy and the food was tasty. If you've ever wondered, "What's bubble tea, would I like it?" This is the place to go. He did not disappoint with his suggestion. This establishment is small and a stand alone building. There is limited seating on the inside. To preface, I am super picky about boba. If I am in the maryland heights area and I want a traditional boba with a classic flavor, this is a good spot. The tea is not always super fresh, but again I am super picky and it's a good place to try if you've never had boba before. Service is quick! The workers are always friendly. If it was possible, I would have given 2.5 stars. I ordered the peach green tea with brown sugar boba. My daughter ordered a Thai tea with brown sugar boba. The shop is small and dated, and the brightly colored menu board has numerous choices. If someone is not familiar with boba/bubble tea, I think it would be overwhelming. The staff seemed disinterested but not rude. The building did not feel clean and appeared really run-down. My peach green tea was okay, I drank it. I was really disappointed that the boba were plain/unflavored when I specifically requested brown sugar boba. If they do not offer them, I wish that the young man taking my order would have specified that instead of just giving me something I didn't ask for. My daughter did not even drink her Thai tea. In her words, "it has a fake, powdery, chocolate taste." Thai tea is not something I really like or have a great frame of reference for, but I tasted it, and to me, it had a very chalky taste--it made me think of Taster's Choice International Coffees (if you are old enough to remember that). Their sign boasts "St. Louis First Authentic Bubble Tea Establishment" and that may be true, but it is definitely not the best bubble tea in St. Louis. read more

About 2.5 years ago when I returned to St. Louis, I decided to try St. Louis Bubble Tea for the first time after reminiscing about how many people said they loved it in high school. I now say that I came for the tea, but stayed for the employees. It is my go-to de-stressor at the end of the day. I validify it by saying other teachers pay daily for Starbucks, so my "Starbucks" is Bubble Tea. The employees are amazing and super sweet when you talk to them. They're also extremely efficient when it's crazy packed/busy. I don't know how they do it so fast and efficiently. I love both my usual drink and asking for their suggestions. I've never gotten a bad suggestion yet. I usually grab and go since I'm usually alone, but I've sat down inside once with a friend and it was very nice too. I've only stayed inside once since I'm usually by myself, but it was fun when I did meet up and have a conversation with a friend there. I usually feel like I need to rush out the door at other sit-down places, but the staff here made us feel welcome and there was no rush to leave at all. read more

This place is so underrated, I absolutely love this establishment! The employees always make your drinks super fast and make sure your experience is pleasurable. There may be not much seating, but you are never rushed to leave! I have been coming here almost every single weekend, and I try to order something new almost every time. My all-time favorites are the matcha green tea snow with passionfruit popping boba, just the regular bubble milk tea with boba, the blueberry lemon snow with blueberry popping boba, the taro snow with taro pudding, and the vanilla snow! (I really recommend getting a snow drink!!) The one and only thing I don't like here is anything banana, the flavor just tastes too artificial. But that's really up to personal preference! I was impressed with the Covid measures the first couple of times...but by now things should be a bit better organized. I LOVE THIS PLACE, so it kills me to be upset at all ever with them over anything. first of all I'm not new to bubble tea so I know that I should call in my order well before I get there just to ensure that my wait if any is going to be about 5 minutes and I can help save them a buildup in the line. Today calling ahead didn't help at all. I assumed when I called they put in my order for many egg rolls and my two drinks but I assume that was not the case since I ended up waiting a full 30 minutes, instead of the normal 15 minutes it takes to cook the egg rolls. might not have been too upset about the wait time if my snows at least we're frozen instead of half thawed out... I'm not one to complain without making a solution so if the owners of the olive location do read this, my only suggestion during these tough times is to possibly add a second hand up front at the counter to assist with the phone orders. read more

They serve a variety of hot and cold drinks from snows (creamier slushie) and slushies, milk teas, juice, etc. They are most well known for drinks that have "boba" which are tapioca balls which originated from Taiwan I believe. They offer food also which have all been good if you're craving saltiness to go with your sweet drink. I haven't tried any food I haven't liked yet there. I normally order royal milk teas, green tea snows, taro snows, mango snows. Food wise I order the fried pork chop, crab Rangoon, beef noodle soup, and spicy chicken nuggets. Pay in cash unless you're ordering bigger orders. The place could be a little cleaner though. They added a portable fire place but didn't really keep me warm lol...looked like more for decor.
