Likely the best customer service ever! I dropped in one day to discuss options for an upcoming move and was greeted by Chris. He was great throughout the entire process, I was in and out in minutes. A week later they let me use their moving van at no cost, I packed up what was going to storage and headed to Cubes. My wife met me there a few minutes later and the first thing she said after checking in at the office and meeting me at the van around back was, "The customer service here is great", I told her I thought the same thing... We liked this storage facility. However the girl with purple hair is very unfriendly. Customer service is not her forte. She was extremely rude to my husband and if that wasn't enough she called me to be rude in addition. All this after we had closed our account. I looked at several storage facilities and ended up choosing Cubes. It is by far the nicest and cleanest place in Utah. This location is perfectly located in the middle of the valley, which makes it very accessible. Another bonus is that you can use their moving truck for free. Rick was very helpful in making sure I got the right size for my belongings. Overall, my moving experience went very smoothly and I highly recommend this place. read more

When we realized that many of our items that were stored in another facility were slowly being damaged by the elements Cubes Self Storage saved the day! The staff is super friendly and the complex is very clean. I always feel like we're going to a hotel when we go there! They are definitely worth checking out. Used my debit card without my approval. Initially did not want to refund me for moving out two weeks of the full rent fee. Did not acknowledge that I called to reserve the truck on my move out date and they are supposed to bill me for two weeks but instead bill me for the full amount. Do not use automatic payment with them. I complained to my bank and BBB. read more

I used this storage facility at the Cottonwood location in Salt Lake City. I chose this location because I sold a home down the street and I left town quickly. So convenience and location. The facility itself is ok. I never had any issues with my storage being tampered with nor did I see a lot of bugs or signs of mice inside the units. The day I was moving in I reserved the truck and I was 15 min late so the clerk which was very rude gave it to someone else. Didn't call me to see if I was coming before she handed the keys to someone else. I needed up calling a manager and I had to go over to the Sugarhouse location to pick up a truck. Other problems I had with this awesome crew were the high prices and constantly raising the fees; the constant lying about sending notices to increase fees; and the incompetent high school educated employees that work there including Ben, Ashley, and Chris, and another manager that left I believe was Patrick. The last three people are so-called managers. They are dishonest, lie, and do not have the aptitude or skills to be a manager. I had a storage unit from 2012-2020. I was so happy to get the heck outta there and not pay another penny. I had my own lock and my lock fee was credited back to me (I have the receipt still today) but I have emails from ignorant Chris and had a conversation with Ashley about it fighting with me over a lock I bought in Washington and used at this facility. I called Mr. Ben about my fee going up when I paid online and was given a bunch of lies about being sent a notice. Ashley fessed up a admitted it did not go out in time and compensated me for their lie. Ben can't handle no conflict has no customer service skills and he has a customer service job. Then their policy for moving out screws people. Tried to screw me too and I gave written notice prior. They lie about sending emails. Then I talked to Chris and instead of explaining to me when prorating he used a 30 day billing period as I used 31 so I find this out when I checked my receipt when I told him when the container would be packed and moved. I called lovely Ashley and she acted like she was doing me a favor by giving me a free day for $4.50. No I did that greedy A facility a favor by paying your salary of over $13,000. Peace out! Find another storage facility. There are others I have used in the valley this one was just convenient but shop around. read more

I will be honest, I was a little nervous about storing my things in a unit (Wedding dress, pictures, snowboards etc). When I walked into Cubes and toured the facility with Rick, all of those fears went away. I love so many things about this place. They have top notch service and security. Plus who could complain about a free moving truck? About that moving truck... Let's just say I can't judge height very well and had a little accident.. Rick was great about assessing the damage. I paid for the damage I caused but definitely felt like I received the best end of the deal. These guys are spectacular and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

We were happy with this storage place at Cubes at 67th south & 1300 East in Cottonwood Heights, but they just raised the rent again from 247.00 to 264.00. Over the past 5 years...they sometimes took 2 increases a year! It is now $264.00 a month for their largest storage! We paid up until the 15th of this month & moved out 2 weeks before rent was due & they refused to give us even a week's rent back. They said it was company policy...sad after investing lots of money in Cubes. Instead...they gave us free ropes...not equivalent to a week's rent! They have always been nice, but WAY too expensive compared to others. read more

Hi Everyone, I want to share what a great experience I've had over the last year at the Cubes Self Storage on 3300 south and 1053 East. These are the most helpful bunch of people it's made my TWO moves in the last year bearable. Mike at the front desk is awesome at making sure we are not over charged when we went from having two units down to only renting one. I think it was Scott that I talked to on the phone to reserve the use of their moving truck (bonus for us who store there) they make it all so easy. The grounds are exceptionally clean and well maintained. My movers actually commented on how clean the facility was. The other thing I really like about The Cubes is that it's located in an easy to reach area of town. You don't have to drive to some remote field. I was very pleased with all their help when I first moved my belongings in (FREE truck use - unheard of!), and even more so when I used their truck again and moved out almost half a year later. When my father died rather suddenly, I had to put all of my belongings into storage for an indefinite period of time and go to SC...then NC...then Oregon. CUBES let me use their truck for free, so it was much less stressful than it could have been. 16 months later, I just moved my stuff out of storage and into my place. CUBES was great the whole time...really flexible about when and how the bill is paid, a clean, safe environment (even as a woman alone at near 10 pm), and amazing customer service. Rick in particular, was fantastic! After a couple of months every time I called to pay my bill I would get an enthusiastic..."Amber!" on the other end of the line. If I needed something, they were there. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more
