JOHN will even go so far as to pray with you before you hang up! He will tell you about his church. Dream City Church. These guys overcharged us for a move that should've taken no longer than an hour and a half at $155/hr. He changed our appointment time. Told us to pay a deposit of $100 via Cash App. The driver called when they got to my storage place @ 4:15pm. Storage cameras and computer show that they left the storage facility @ 4:26. They showed up at our apartment @ 7:12. The driver came in with paperwork and said our total was $800 dollars. We didn't pay. The Christian owner John told them to take our stuff to the yard until we pay. He kept contacting my boyfriend everyday lowering his price. He finally gave in last night and paid him $300 dollars. Our things were dropped off. The thing is that NONE of my things were even picked up from my storage unit. It turns out they stole someone else's belongings from the same facility! They charged us for stealing another person's possessions and held it hostage for payment from us! They didn't even do the job that they were hired to do to begin with!!! I filed a police report on thursday 10/26. The next day I started paperwork with the Az Attorney General's Office, contacted the BBB and called the National Consumer Complaint Data Base. John Negrete, I believe it's time that you realize that there are people that will not be taken advantage of. I am one of those people.... To anyone who's been victimized by John, his employees, or this business, the first place step you need to take is to file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office 2005 N. The unit next to my companies had paint explode and seep through the walls, damaging at least $12,000 worth of company desks and equipment. When attempting to move storage units because of this damage (with only a discount on the new unit's rent for our troubles), Rick (DM) would only allow a 3rd party mover who is originally a landscaper move our entire storage unit. The items were moved in a landscaping truck, and Rick (DM) refused to provide me with any liability insurance. The movers were extremely careful and kind with our belonging because they knew of our troubles, however Rick was rude and condescending on the phone when planning, and refused to provide any proof of insurance for our belongings being moved as well as refused to pay or approve a certified moving company. Although we loved our movers (Adil and his team), the District manager made it difficult on us and Adil. I do not recommend this location, nor any location under the District Manager Rick. This company is unprofessional, lacks communication, and does not have a process for damaged items, broken locks, or even answering a phone call back.

I then received, from the Cubesmart a notice of a $50 price increase beginning in Feb 2026. I complained about such a huge increase & the DM that called me was a lady who's name i do not recall. All she offered me was a ten dollar discount along with a bag of excuses as to why the rent went up...i told her to keep it. The increase in rent would then have been $40 per month. IF they did not increase the rent again in 2026 it would cost me an extra $400 for the balance of the year without any further price increases. The DM tried to convince me that the price i moved in at was a ''deal'' offered to me at the time of moving in. However she could not provide me with any proof of that. If i decide to stay, the increase in rent, without any future increases would/will be $600 for the balance of the year.Though i would not trust them to Not increase the rent again. I will be moving out in March so they can only get me for the one increase of $50. I also found out, from other sources, that if i pay the rent for a full year, as many other storage companies allow you to do, then the rent stays the same thruout the year. Walt.
