I was able to get the units I needed in the time frame I was looking for. I have to say that it was the team work between Josh and Ell that made that happen. Josh assisted and was able to find the units that were becoming available. He and Ell made this process such a delight when I was expecting it to be somewhat stressful with the time frame I had. Not only was this experience a breath of fresh air, but it continued each time I was at the facility. The maintenance and care of the facility is just as nice. Each time I have made a trip to my unit I see all of the crew doing something around the facility and each time they make eye contact and greet you with a smile. Josh was painting on one occasion and stopped what he was doing to acknowledge me and say good morning. You do not get this kind of acknowledgment anywhere these days and when you do it's definitely recognized. Overall, I highly recommend this location if you're looking for a more affordable option in a convenient location. It's right by 495, Lee Highway, and Route 50 so it's an easy drive from almost anywhere.

The racoon apparently lived in the unit for a while as we found many of our stored contents in the unit chewed and destroyed by feces and urine smell. The manager at the CubeSmart was helpful in filing our insurance claim as we signed up for SureSmart Protection Plan for $2,000. Now a month later the insurance company denied our claim and does not respond. Here is the frustrating part: they denied our claim alleging the damage was excluded from insurance coverage because it was done by "rodents". When I reiterated that the damage was done by a *racoon* (we sent picture of the racoon we found in our unit and feces-damaged furniture and equipment to support our claim) and a racoon is not a "rodent" the senior claims representative at the insurance company denied the claim again citing the content was not covered because it is "animals, birds or fish"!? When I reminded that the damaged contents were instead office equipment and furniture destroyed by racoon and sent a movie we took of the racoon trying to escape from my CubeSmart unit they stop communicating. So after paying $12/month for SureSmart Protection Plan for 2 and 1/2 years which would have defrayed a fraction of total damage I am left with no coverage and no communication. While the manager at the CubeSmart has been helpful the fact is a RACOON got into my CubeSmart storage unit; destroyed my stored equipment and furniture and my SureSmart Protection Plan did not cover anything. I do not recommend this place as their SureSmart Protection Plan did not work for me.

From day one, I said that I needed to make my payments on the 15th, when I get paid. Every month for over a year on the 6th-8th I start getting calls and emails that I'm late and, more importantly, every month I get charged over $100 in late fees. They also charged a large annual increase (about $50) without any notice that is non-negotiable. All for units that are full of vermin. Both of my units are overrun with mice/rats. Literally half of what I'm paying to store will have to be thrown out because of vermin damage. If I had an extra $1,000 to hire people and a truck to move my items to a different, better facility I would. I have another larger unit in a different location and haven't had any problems with them. Extra Space doesn't work with you financially because they don't have to; they know they have you over a barrel. Warning: do not rent here!!! The people are great, but once you store your things, you're stuck.

I had rented a uhaul, provided my credit card and the provider decided, without telling me he was going to rent my uhaul to someone else, that he was going to rent my reserved uhaul to another person. The provider had NO remorse for doing this to me. This happened on the DAY of my move. It led to me having to reserve a smaller truck, which meant I needed to do multiple trips, pay for many additional miles because the reservation location was farther away and cause me so much additional stress during a move that was already stressful during the holidays. In my opinion, Uhaul should reimburse me for the additional cost due to their providers bad judgement and inappropriate conduct.
