Then they were bought by SROA. No one manning the office. A detached person answering the phone who had no solutions. Suddenly, no one was available on Wednesdays or Saturdays. The rates went up, again and again. They recommended the worst person to help move the piano and when I complained, they told me off. They accused me of not taking off the lock (I had) cleaning out the unit (I left it the way I found it) and disregarded that fact that I had paid for the first month up front (no - you owe for August, apparently). They yelled at me for pointing out these and other discrepancies. (I don't yell - they just didn't like what I was holding them accountable for and because I stood up for myself). Don't do it. I ought to have moved out when they changed to SROA. People yelling at you, poor recommendations, rates that go up continually, unavailable to speak to - what a combination.

They were awesome they came to my house right away and they spent a few hours getting cover off ( they ended up cutting it off). They did not charge me a dime and i tried to tip the two guys who came and did it they would not take the money. If I ever need excavation or yard work done they will be 1st ones I call. They called me a few weeks before scheduled delivery & unload of my u-box, and we agreed on 8:30am on the scheduled date. A week later, they called to schedule again, which I thought was a little weird, but I brushed it off as a mistake and reminded them we had already scheduled it for 8:30am, and the woman I spoke with agreed and apologized. Flash forward to the date of the move-in. About fifteen minutes before scheduled arrival, I tried to call to make sure they could find the place, as my place is located on a sort of hidden culdesac. No answer from the number listed here or on the one provided by uhaul. I went back through my call history and found the number that had originally called me to schedule (with a tx area code). No answer, but right after hanging up I received a text from that number. Here's how that conversation went: People's Moving: Hi, I missed a call from this number? Me: Hi! I had spoken to someone on this number from people's movers before? People's Moving: Yes how can I help you? People's Moving: I'm sorry I'm driving Me: No worries! I'm meant to have a uhaul ubox delivery and unload this morning and just wanted to confirm Me (twenty minutes later): They were meant to be here 15 minutes ago & the uhaul storage facility says the box hasn't been picked up. Me (twenty more minutes later): Hello? Those last two text messages weren't delivered. I also tried calling, and after one ring my call went to voicemail. In other words, they blocked my phone number. Movinghelp.com and Uhaul also tried to contact them on my behalf, to no avail. So 4 hours after they were scheduled to arrive, I'm trying to find a moving company available for same day service. This company is run by complete incompetence, if it is run at all. Save your money, time, and stress levels, hire someone else from the start.

Then took another week to deliver it. They had the pod half the time I paid for. They dropped it off with 2 days left in the month. Promptly charge me an additional month "rental" on the 1st. I unloaded it by the 2nd...funny though when they were told it was empty they could pick it up early in under 3 days. Go another way. This isn't it. Terrible service.

I made it clear that I had a lot of large, heavy furniture and I also told them the sizes of the two storage units that I wanted emptied and brought to my new house. I specifically asked if it would all fit and if they would make multiple trips. I was quoted a price for six hours including tax. They did bring most of the large, heavy stuff but took NONE of the boxes. Now I am left to empty half of a 10x25 unit in MANY trips in my car. Not only that, but one of the movers spent a lot of time trying to get out a splinter (using tweezers that I offered) and using the bathroom and the other guy stood around waiting for him. This caused me to be charged for an extra hour. I'm grateful for what they did, but it wasn't as much as I was expecting. I'm older and on a limited budget so I went with the lower priced option because she said they would handle it, but they didn't and now my arthritic knees and back are paying for it.
