Theft Warning. Cubesmart never told us in any way that their secured hours changed then when someone opened an on line account and broke into our storage taking over 11k in items they never reached out. Said they did twice but there were no calls and no calls on our call log. They refuse to give us as any credit and the district manager will only be emailed.He emailed me once then blew me off. DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE. Theft Warning at CubeSmart Because I don't want anyone else to ho through what we went through. We looked for a secure and tempered controled location and choose Cubesmart because they we only open during their business hours and appeared to be very secure. They stated we needed to at least pay for the minimum insurance so we did exactly that in April 2022 and put our things in storage while we had our house built.Other that your bill is ready or your bill is paid emails, we received one email on 3/27/23 stating the hours were changing immediately and they'd no longer be open on Sundays. Because of the closed Sundays we took off work on Monday May 15th to take our belongings out of storage. got our 2 keys out for the two locks we purchased from Cubesmart walked in to find a y er llow lock on our locker with a tag that said auction. The kind girl in the office had no idea what had happened saying they haven't had a theft since January which was news to us and opened the locker for us to find a mess with over 11k in missing and damaged items. The woman there that day said made a call and found that we were part of the Jan 16th 2023 theft and many lockers were broken into adding that it was an inside job from someone that purchased a locker on line, came in after hours which we had no idea was an option but Cubesmart had changed their hours in July of 2022 without notifying us. They said they called us twice about the break in but blamed us for not taking action. we have no calls on our cell phone call log for that time period. What's the worst part is that we asked to at least credit us and they refused. They take zero responsibility and the manager was the rudest most unempathetic stone cold person I've had to deal with. The woman who help get us into our locker truly felt bad and said she was so sorry. I had to email the district manager and he emailed me back two days later sounding emphatic but said they called and refused to issue a credit. I emailed back asking for credit for January 2023 when the theft occurred to May 2023 when we closed the account and got no response. No service and No protection. read more

This used to be a good place but it has gone downhill. There are a lot of homeless around the area and some of them are living inside the storage units here. There is no security and people simply walk right in through the gate when cars go through. Several units in the interior storage unit where I have my rental got broken into and it looks like a professional job. There were Drillbits on the floor and trash and they took off the entire lock assembly. I had several items stolen I don't think anything super valuable, mostly craft stuff. UNIT BROKEN INTO, ITEMS STOLEN. CubeSmart on Fairgrounds. Price kept going up. Expensive environmental controlled unit was broken into through the ceiling and had microwave stolen. Corporate was occasionally civil but local office was rude and just plain nasty. I had gone to the unit to clear my stuff out. When I called to tell them my unit had been broken into and things were stolen the response was "you had better have all your stuff out and it better be clean or we wont close out." CubeSmart don't even attempt to send an email saying you want to make it right. read more

DONT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! They rent to many homeless people,their always there,day and night. Half the time you cant even get to your storage because the homeless scumbags have their trash piles right outside of where they live, trashy tenants parking their car right in the middle of the drive through area so you cant even get to your storage,they hang out,party all day long. Management does nothing about it. No cameras,no security, I've watched the homeless dirtbags wait outside the gate until someone enters then,they just walk right in, no one checks on them,they just hang out all day. Super disappointed and ANGRY that our storage was broken into. They don't have cameras, no security, entrance gate is always messed up. It's FILTHY. A lot of our belongings we stolen. If I could give zero I would! I have been here 2 years and at first it was decent. And I picked this place due to its large corporation. Feeling it would be more safe with them being in charge. Yeah noooo got my storage broken into and 2 others also. They broke it from the base. Staff is like sorry here is a number to call. I had so much stuff taken. A dirt bike for my kids that I store there since we don't use it daily. Camping all of its gone. They went through every box. Oh but left all my xmas stuff. And so many other things that can't be replaced! As I am sitting here waiting for the police now it's been an hour. All I see is how many ppl come to this storage. I just want to stop them and say get your stuff cuz it's only a matter of time. Oh and for a big time corporation they have crappy security cameras. It figures! I couldn't give this zero stars so one it is! This place is horrible, the office staff do not communicate ANYTHING! Our unit was broken into 2x they did not contact us either time we happened to come get things and noticed. The 2nd time our entire row was broken into and no contact etc. This facility is more like a homeless encampment trash, beer bottles people's personal belongings thrown everywhere from broken into units over grown weeds you name it! There are people living in units which is against the law! When you notify the staff they act like it's no big deal! DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY BY ANY MEANS!!! read more

Expensive, with hidden fees. They don't take payment over the phone without charging four bucks, you get railroaded into buying one of their locks for twenty bucks, raised the rent 15% on me within six months, the list goes on. Even their "free" moving truck costs you ten bucks for some "courtesy fee". Really friendly with you up front, until you don't have the cash to pay them. Then it's threats of a 110 dollar lien on your stuff when you can't pay your entire balance due at once, because nothing is a more effective kick to someone when they're down than stacking a penalty on top of a fee they already are having trouble paying. No partial payments. Quite the racket, seems like. Can't wait to get my stuff out of this overpriced dustbin. read more

The negative reviews will continue to accumulate if the harrasment calls or "courtesy calls keep coming" after having terrible customer service and not getting their shit together. This company now calls me about my storage being a few days overdue just because I had other more important expenses that needed to be payed. Spoke to some Desiree lady. Told her to not call me again. Very rude and very condescending. Don't use this storage unit. Cusbesmart. A bit of advice, please stop harrassing your customers and let them live in peace. never ever would i recommend this place to anyone in fact i am still waiting on my money that they stole from me back. Once they said i could go pick it up but refused because they now owe me for damages and punitive damages as well i am going to sue them in court. first i will also spend a day up there picketing to let everyone know what i think of the thieves. read more

I've used this location twice and they have always been very helpful and informative with whatever I was looking for at the time to store my belongings. I am currently using the 10x10x8 storage unit to store my studio apartment belongings between moves. I have never had anything stolen or any issues in regards to payment plans. The ladies at the office are very clear, concise and always very kind and approachable. Glad I could always count on this place! read more

I had a storage rented at this location for roughly 5 months and I have to say, the customer service here is amazing! They understood every issue and were very informative and understanding instead of wanting to rip me off. On top of that, the storage was very clean compared to other ones I have checked out! Our RV was broken into within weeks or a month of being at this location. We never received a call to notify us that the fencing was cut open right in front of our RV because they said they didn't notice if our property was tampered with. I asked for a manager to contact me regarding the situation as well as notified the onsite associate that we would not be bringing our RV back to their storage facility. We still have not received a call and have left numerous voicemail since then. We also were still charged for the next month service even though we cancelled our space. I wish I could give them no stars because they obviously do not care about their tenants. read more

Be warned the money you see online it's not what you'll be paying when you walk out the door. I'm paying $4 a month more for a storage unit half the size of what I was reserved and quoted. So at 5:45 I get a call from my storage facility saying they noticed my unit was broken into at 3:00! They tell me I need to call police and file a report, so I tell the lady that I would do so and be down, she then informs me she is closing at 6:00 and wouldn't be there! (I live 45 minutes away) so that I need to wait until tomorrow!! I ask why she didn't call me earlier and she says "I was too busy"!!! We then proceed to get into an argument about their service and she tells me to shut up! She waited 3 hours to call me and when she did call was only staying there another 15 minutes, I am furious! I have important papers in there and irreplaceable items!! Now I have to take a half day tomorrows and miss some work to go handle this, stay away from cubesmart on Arlington in Riverside! And the manager Esther is a repulsive human being, worst customer service I have ever witnessed. read more

I looked around for the most reasonable storage unit and this one was the cheapest! Customer service was awesome.

What the facility lacks in newness the staff made up for with affordability and friendliness. The property manager was consistently helpful and generous. They more than once opened the office to me before and after posted hours. They were generous at corporate level when I ended my contract, letting me out of the contract less than the stated 10 day notice time without charging me additional. And, when I forgot my keys 400 miles away they provided a bolt-cutter and helped direct how to get one of the locks off (two doors on the unit I rented) and time to send the key to the second lock. read more
