Veronica is wonderful - she understood my needs when I called ahead of time, answered all of my questions, and ensured that I was satisfied. The 10x5 space that I'm renting is super spacious. What I love the most is that staff are on site (Wade was very helpful, accommodating and kind), the storage space and property is very clean, the pricing is very reasonable (even the locks ifnyou need to purchase on site), and I just have a true sense of safety with my items being in this facility. Love it! I'm super happy so far. Tyler Mall Mini Storage is a small storage place that offers great customer service and lower rates compared to the bigger well-known storage companies. I initially went to one of the big name storage places and experienced the worst customer service ever, so I left/ cancelled the same day I signed up. The staff were unprofessional and lazy. And that's how I found Tyler Mall Mini Storage. And I'm glad I did! The customer service was great and there weren't any hidden fees or scammy things going on. Very straightforward and fair. I was able to get a unit on the ground- which I couldn't get at the bigger companies, and found the perfect size. I needed a lock since I lost my old one, and bought one of the round ones from them. I really appreciated that the lock was in a package and brand new. At the bigger companies they will sell you a lock at full price, but you get a lock that is already opened and probably used before. That's lame. Should be brand new if you buy a lock, not recycled crap. Anyway, I'm so happy with my storage unit. The place is clean and appears to be in a decent area where things won't get stolen. There's a gate with a code to get in to the storage unit and also to leave you need the code. So if someone did sneak in there somehow, they would get stuck inside because they don't have the code to get out. The units all seemed clean. Nothing fancy just basic units that get it done for storing your items safely. read more

Horrible property manager and they send u letters via certified mail and don't honor what letters say. Property manager is very rude and very unprofessional. They over charge for everything and the storages are not well taken care of plus they make u pay a insurance fee that is almost 20 which should be to your choice of whether you have insurance or not. Never would recommend them. You can't speak to any body of higher rankings and no one ever calls you back. Worst experience ever here. I've had multiple storage units at this facility over the years and up until recently had always been very happy with them. Until last month, when I had a FIFTEEN PERCENT increase on my rent without any notification. When I called to ask about it, the manager on duty admitted that I should have been emailed a notification back in December and she could see it was never sent. There should have been a second notification emailed to me the week before that payment was due, but since they were short staffed that email never got sent either. This is the 3rd time my rent has been raised in 2 years. The prior increases however were realistic, raising my rent $30 with no notice is not. The manager on duty pretty much told me she just has bills to pay which is why she's there and really couldn't address my concerns, but gave me the number to Westport Properties which is allegedly the company who owns this facility. I've left several messages and They will not return my calls. The real kicker to all of this is, my boyfriend anonymously called to inquire about the price for our same size storage unit if he were to move in today. He was quoted $147 a month plus half off of the first two months. They're now charging us, loyal timely paying customers $279 per month!!! For the SAME STORAGE UNIT! I used to recommend this facility all the time, now I will do my best to discourage people from using them and I will be moving my things out ASAP. I could have a POD delivered to my driveway for half of what they're charging me for a 10'X15' unit. Do better. read more

So I called them about my situation and was told that someone would call me back within 48 hours... no one ever did... Now I have a collection agency saying i owe them 500.00. Is this how they make their money ? i told them repeatedly that the storage was empty and when my husband left, which was an unplanned trip and was very short.. he forgot the lock on the unit... they asked me if I had anyone that could come get the lock... no and will not ask my 90 year old mother to drive over an hour in California traffic to take a stupid lock off the unit...I am in Illinois not California because I was given less then 60 days, between mid nov and jan 18 to deiced what to do with my life,,, go to Philadelphia pa.. try to find another job in California.. lose my job or go some where else... I needed a storage unit asap but I own a chevy spark and have very little money(I would have had to make 25 trips) so I was trying to find one with a rental truck to use for free. I called 5 different places and their trucks were all booked....but, Daniel ended up calling me back and said the truck was dropped back of early. His customer service was amazing. He emailed me everything so I could fill it out and have it ready and I already had a unit before even arriving there. I was in and out of there with the truck in 30 mins. Like Kristi said in another review. I believe a lot of the reviews are fake. I gave notice to move out and was told it would be $25 as the pro rated price for the month. We had a death in the family which caused us to be a few days late on the move out. When I went in to pay the final bill we were told they DONT prorate the final month. Not the same information I received at earlier date. Showed up to move out expecting about $50. They did not prorate then hit me with a late fee and a middle finger. $144 later I get my things. I locked up my extra stuff for two years at Tyler Mall Mini Storage. Found them online and they had a no nonsense price! My locker was always $49 a month and I believe I got my first month free and a free lock. The staff here keeps the property very clean, they are friendly and it feels very secure. They will come out of the office if a car approaches yours from behind, to make sure nobody sneaks in! I like the one way in, one way out design. Locks are checked every night. I would definitely recommend them over Public Storage or any other company. They had a website but lately I haven't been able to find it. read more

I was contacted Friday 7/05 by Alma via email. I was pleased the location property manager reached out since Christa P. didn't follow up. I drove to Riverside today and John verified who I was and cut my lock as requested 30 days ago. John didn't charge for the replacement lock or the lock to be cut. He was really professional and extremely pleasant. Thanks John and Alma for resolving my issue. 30 days ago I went in earlier today to get my lock cut and replaced because I lost the key to my unit. I usually pay online and live in Los Angeles so I couldn't remember my unit #. I was amazed that not only was I able to get my unit number I also received a card with the gate code without presenting ID. FYI- after I was given this information he finally asked for it. I was told I needed to call a locksmith and Luco explained he was from another location and that location is able to cut the locks but I needed to wait for the manager. I was disappointed with this customer seevice. I wonder if this poor service was because I mentioned the rent increase and how I wanted to go through my items to determine if the storage is still needed. I read more
