Brand new clean facility, complete with friendly, family-oriented staff who work and live onsite…read more If you rent here right now, chances are great that you will be the first person to ever occupy that space. Straight-up, no high-pressure sales, the property is very secure, but access is easy. The hours listed through Yelp are for the front business office. Gate access for existing customers remains open until 9 pm. This is not a 24 hour access facility. I have a larger, climate-controlled unit. One of the nice perks of this place is the overhead motion-detecting light system. I don't know if all inside units have that, but it's nice and not usual. It is not cheap to store belongings in secure climate control, but I think the prices here are reasonably competitive. The owner told me that if they decide to do price increases they space them about 11 months apart and the increases would be $3 or $5 at a time not $20 or $50 like I watch the other places do. Very few people these days can afford to pay for a whole year's worth of storage at a time. I see a lot of these places lure people in with nice introductory rates and promotions, to then jack the prices way up once they are all moved in. Moving is expensive. Storage is expensive. If you aren't careful you could lose everything. I did not take my decision to store my property here lightly, and like I said so far I am happy with the experience.

Staff was belligerent, rude and racist and threatening…read more I'm handicapped and parked in a slot in front of the store. Someone popped his head out and rudely told me I couldn't park there it was just for trucks, when I moved my car across the lot I then came in and told them that could have been avoided with a simple sign. They said it was common sense and suggested I was simply stupid. Was I pleasant?, not quite but i wasn't belligerent. Until they both verbally attacked me. They both started yelling at me. AGGRESSIVELY about how dumb I was to think I could park there......... I asked for one of their names and the one named "Patrick" got wildly aggressive. Yeah I was irritated coming in and was less than pleasant (but neither aggressive or belligerent) about having to walk across the parking lot (with difficulty) but this was absolutely crazy, calling me names, insulting me, When I had enough and told them to go to hell........ I wouldn't be shopping there they BOTH followed me out of the store yelling acting very aggressive both verbally and with body language, They both starting calling me a racist implying I took issue with their race. I yelled back that my oldest son was black, how the hell am I a racist? "Patrick" simply yelled "If he's black he cant be your son" one of the most ignorant and racist things I have heard in years, Then Patrick started asking me if I would "like to hit him" Corporate need to review the security footage for this. (November 27th, 2025 at roughly 10am) This is so far beyond acceptable its crazy. Single worst customer service experience of my life. I have read all the other reviews, they seem to be keen on dishing out racism and management (according to others) does not care, I will be forwarding this to their corporate office,

File this away under stories from "Moving in the Midst of a Global Pandemic"…read more The last thing I was going to do was hire movers. For starters, I don't think it's possible for movers to adequately social distance while moving boxes or sitting in a truck cab. Plus, I wasn't thrilled about having a bunch of strangers huffing and puffing in my new home. So, for the first time since my 20s I decided to move myself. Which isn't to say I've been a stranger to U-Haul. I drove one fo their trucks from New York to Michigan. It's just that I had it loaded by New York movers and unpacked by Michigan movers. This U-Haul location is fine. All of them seem to be perpetually understaffed, so waiting has become par for the course. It was disappointing that this location didn't have the smallest size "book boxes". But supplies run short in the midst of global pandemics. I get it. But both of the vehicles I've rented from this location had "issues". Nothing major, or dangerous... only annoying. The first one had alignment issues and rattled something fierce. The second, a cargo van, was missing the "gallons needed to fill gas tank from X to Y" dongle. And for each rental, I ended up putting in significantly more gas than I should have to avoid a penalty. It's not such a big deal, but I do wish they would rent out vehicles with full tanks, so this nonsense could be avoided. What I've learned is to use the U-Haul App. That allows speedy check-ins, where you can skip the line. Although even if the app tells you its okay to skip the line, I wish there was some way to let all the angry people waiting that you have permission to do so. The app is also very helpful for after hour drop offs. Hopefully, I won't need another truck or cargo van for many more years to come. However, if push comes to shove, I'll most likely be getting it here.
