Great indoor and outdoor seating options, or, sit at the bar - all comfortable. Most of the food we've had has been terrific. There are times that it takes a bit to get seated or waited on, but this is a small, local establishment, and often is very crowded, so go in with realistic expectations. The prices are just a little high than we anticipated, but it was worth every bite. . . Everything we had was so fresh and absolutely delicious!! The pizza must be good too because every 5 minutes (at the most) someone was coming in to pick a pizza during the hour we were there they sold at least 12 to go pizzas. read more

I have never been treated as rudely as we were here. Turned away at 7:00 pm on a Saturday night. "Sorry we are to busy to serve you" she told us. Excellent local restaurant! Have never had a bad meal here. My absolute favorite is the chicken piccata. A great selection of wines to choose from. The wait staff are always pleasant and there doesn't seem to be a big turn over which is always a plus and speaks well for the management. Forget this place, they don't want your money. Big OPEN sign across the front of the building but were closed. Tried another day (6p Tuesday), place was empty inside, 5 customers outside and they refused to sit us outside at one of the 4 empty tables, said we had to eat inside, so we left. Went down the street to the Grizzly Grill in Blairsden, better food and prices and spent the $300 (party of 10) that Cuccia's with the staff standing around didn't need. read more

When you're in the Sierras you don't expect to find a quality Italian restaurant but Cuccia's is an excellent choice. They have good quality selections and have a fun, courteous staff. They are flexible on the substitutions allowed and have a surprising selection. I always enjoy their picatta or marsala dishes. read more

We ordered the calamari steak, it was bland and flavorless. The spaghetti with meatballs, the meatballs were undercooked. My husband ordered the spaghetti with italian sausage, again the sausage was under cooked. To add insult to injury, after we explained the situation to our Hostess she said to us "What do you want me to do, comp your meal??? This place has gone downhill. We were a party of four good natured people. Although we had a reservation we waited 20 minutes at the table just for water. Staff was very inexperienced and seemed not to care. They ran out of our side dish without telling us so they plopped some shell macaroni with melted cheese on the top on our plates. Our chicken and veal picatas were marginal. The capers were still cold since they had been dumped directly out of the jar onto our entree. Salad was limp, skimpy, and overdressed. The wine and the gelato were good. At 28 bucks an entree they could do a lot better. We are all summer residents and eat out frequently. There are too many good places in Graeagle. We were pleasonly surprised by our experience at Cuccia's. We have been visiting the Graeagle/Blairsden area for over 25 yrs and this was the best meal and service we ever experienced. Not only is it very obvious that the kitchen takes great love and care with each dish, but the front of house staff does the same with it's customers. We made reservations as it was suggested on the website, had a beautiful dinner that was paired perfectly with the wine suggested by our host (the owner), and really enjoyed the specialty Gelato for dessert. Glad to see them open for the season again. I trade off between getting pizza or a pasta dish. Best pizza in the area, and the pastas are good too. For pasta I usually have one of the vegetarian selections in a pesto sauce, or occasionally the seafood pasta. Nice wine list, with a few reasonably priced selections. Sad that dinner was such a disappointment. 1hr 20 min to get our dinner. Called for reservations - they told us to wait till 8:15. We showed up & were ignored at the door. Seated and 40 min later they took our order. They ignored us till we got up to ask...where is the food. They must have thrown it together. Horrible & not edible. Veal parm & chicken scaloppini swimming in liquid (not sauce - and parm was only breaded on one side.) When we told the owner - she half heartily apologized but you could tell she didn't care. We didn't pay and acted as if we did something wrong! We have been there before and the pizza is great and patio is relaxing. However though the meal was not edible - it was the reaction of the owner. Didn't even ask "how can we make it better?" or "you are right, that is not how it should be." Had early dinner reservations over the 2016 Labor Day weekend for 5 of us. The owner seemed overwhelmed & no one spoke to us until we said we had reservations. Cuccia's only had 4 tables occupied at this time. I asked the owner for a table "away" from the kitchen & the bathroom (which was in need of an air-freshener!) This request was met with irritation & indignation. Sitting on the outside porch was also "impossible" with the crowds they were expecting! We started thinking maybe we should have slipped a waiter $20 to get good seats! We took the bathroom table! 45 mins later, another same size table we had asked to have, became occupied with adults & small children & highchairs. (Maybe they were locals who know the owners.) We asked the waitress for a nice bottle of Cab. None of the Cab selection looked very familiar except the HESS...which happens to be their "house". The snobby waitress then asked if we selected "that" Cab because of the $30 price. Actually we were looking for a nice Rombauer Cab (but doubt she knew what that was). Just settled on the Hess Cab. The crab cakes were just mediocre & needed a spicier sauce or aioli. The "family recipe" pesto pasta was like eating green paste, very disappointing. The salmon over pasta with a wine sauce? Well, salmon good, but wine sauce pasta too acidic to eat. Two of our friends ate half of their dinners & took rest to go. However, the Tiramisu is very good & worth a try. The boys that "bused the tables & brought the water" were the most professional. Visited Cuccia's in 2015 & had a much better experience & better food. We are in the medical profession & think the owner needs a prescription for Xanax. In fact most of the workers looked very stressed & unhappy, except for the bitchy blondie waitress & she acted like she owned the place (maybe she does?) Too expensive for the quality of food. BTW: When we left, Cuccia's was 2/3 full & no line out the door. Go to the Coyote Grill... it's better! read more
