    Chicken Parmesan

We had a great dinner at Capozoli's. I had the Chicken Parmesan and my wife had Spaghetti Pomodoro. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent! Just a great little restaurant on Carson St. Make sure you make a reservation. It's BYOB so bring your favorite beverage...or go with one of their offerings of refreshments. You will love it! We did!

Newly opened on East Carson Street, Capozoli's Trattoria is the cutest Italian restaurant to hit the South Side! Located in the former Cucina Vitale space, this fresh chapter is co-owned by the sweetest husband-and-wife duo--fittingly named after their family name, Capozoli. The space is cozy and intimate, so a reservation is definitely recommended. Bonus: it's BYOB! Their menu may be small, but that just makes the decision easier (even though I don't think you could go wrong with anything here!). You're welcomed with warm bread and oil--a lovely start. We ordered the bruschetta: crispy focaccia topped with whipped ricotta, garlic, oven-roasted tomatoes, balsamic reduction, and fresh basil. A true masterpiece. For mains, the Pasta Primavera was bursting with flavor--spring pea emulsion, bucatini, asparagus tips, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, and basil. I added the chicken and WOW--hand-breaded, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I'm already planning my return just for that chicken. We also tried the show-stopping 40-layer lasagna, featuring ricotta béchamel, San Marzano sauce, and Parmigiano. Absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. Although the dessert menu looked incredible, we were too full this time... just another reason to go back soon. Capozoli's is a gem where great food and heartfelt neighborhood vibes come together

Love the Lobster Ravioli, and Potato Gnocchi. Rabbit Ragù is delicious. Irina is very attentive, Chef Conner is just amazing. Small restaurant, reservations recommended on weekends. BYOW

Capozoli's is truly a hidden gem. It's a tiny, intimate Italian restaurant with fewer than 10 tables, and you can watch the chef cook your meal the entire time. The husband-and-wife team who run it make the experience feel personal, and the service is absolutely perfect. They start you off with fresh bread and oil that's so delicious, and the Parmesan beignets might honestly be the best thing I've ever eaten--no exaggeration. It's BYOB, which just makes the cozy vibe even better. For mains, we had the fettuccine ai funghi, which was creamy with the perfect mushroom flavor, and the chicken Marsala, which seriously impressed us. We finished with cannolis that tasted incredibly fresh. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with soft background music and no loud noise thanks to the small space. I almost don't want to share how amazing this place is so it stays a secret... but it's just too good not to.

This place continues to amaze. My husband has been craving the elk since our last visit. This place is so cozy and welcoming. Irina is just the nicest person. All of our food was delicious. Make a reservation and try this place.

We are so excited to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood! Run by a beautiful young couple, this place is serving up homemade Italian dishes that warm you from within! From pasta, to gnocchi to meatballs all made from scratch... our group left happy & full! Be sure to make a resy as the dining room is small, and BYOB a bottle of wine for your meal!! We'll be back soon!

The food was cold and the chicken had no flavor along with the noddles being stuck together. I was craving Italian I'm highly disappointed.

Waitress was nice. Food was amazing. The chicken Parmesan was tender. Everyone at our table enjoyed our food.

Fries are the kind that have some sort of breading and are nice and crispy. Today I got the BLT and I would definitely get it again! The side salad was kind of mediocre (I was trying to make a healthier choice and avoid the fries). Got a beer (not pictured). Usually the service is very good, but I'm going to be honest, it was pretty sad today. My girlfriend and I agreed it seemed like the bartender both hated his job, and was not good at it. We will still be back. Cool little Southside place with pinball machines and a relaxed bar atmosphere.

The food is good, as long as you go in with the right expectations. This isn't fine dining, but it's a nice take on vegetarian-accessible pub food, slightly elevated. The vegan tofu wrap was nicely done with crispy fried tofu, but it was heavily dependent on the availability of various sauces for flavor. The "disc brake bean cakes" were somewhat unique, but still good when fully assembled with all the relevant toppings. They would probably be better described as black bean crepes with Tex-Mex toppings. I highly recommend ordering several different sauces to go with your meal (buffalo, barbecue, diablo, etc.). We ordered takeout this time, and the overall ordering experience was good. There is an online ordering page, but the items on that page aren't completely aligned with menus on the web site. We ended up calling to place an order, which was still very easy. All the food was well packaged and ready to go exactly when they said it would be. This is a great South Side destination, especially when you're looking for something comfortable and relatively low key but still fun.
