    Eggplant Parmigiana

Five star experience. We ate at the bar and the young lady serving us was both personable and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is very thorough with so many dishes I'd love to sample. We opted to go with Osso Bucco and Eggplant Parmigiana. Both were delicious. The Osso Bucco was cooked to perfection. Tender pork shank that melted in my mouth. The Eggplant Parmigiana was equally as good. Half price wine night was a bonus. And the couple sitting next to us were interesting and hilarious.

We were SO pleasantly surprised by Cucina Bella! We were in Galena for a little getaway and we decided to eat here after reading some online reviews. We loved everything about our meals and we got to start with delicious focaccia and slightly spicy olive oil provided as a starter by the restaurant. We had a great server named Logan and the food was served in a perfectly spaced manner. We started with calamari that had some nice spice to it and served with asparagus and sun dried tomatoes. We also shared a margarita pizza which had perfectly spread basil on top and a crispy crust. I shared the eggplant parmigiana meal with my friend and splitting the eggplant still gave us plenty to eat. Our meal came with a very large salad big enough for the whole table to share. It was perfectly dressed and we ate every last bit of it. We ended with tiramisu, a cannoli and carrot cake, that was a HUGE slice. The desserts were good but not as impressive as our meals. We really loved this place and felt so fortunate to have picked it as our dinner destination!

Not the biggest restaurant but the food is AMAZING! Portions are generous, and the service was amazing. The prices are a bit on the higher side but it is a touristy town so I guess that is to be expected but the taste was worth it! It was a cute place and it would be worth trying it out!

Good bottle red blend wine. Grilled calamari very flavorful. Fresh herb bread with balsamic dipping sauce paired well. Doz. baked clams were a good entree for me. The chicken in lemon and oil was tasty. Cannoli dessert hit the spot.

5 stars does not give Cucina Bella the respect they deserve! We met Tony and his beautiful wife early in the afternoon last weekend. Oddly enough we had just made reserva in tions. We started with Goat Cheese Marinara served with crostinis. So simplest , I am not sure why I have never thought to pair these! I am a sucker for a delicious Caesar salad!!! Chicken Milanese, absolutely wonderful!! This dish was our favorite to the point we were fighting for the leftovers!! Penne Arrabiata with sausage Then ‍ Butterfinger cheesecake Oreo cheesecake And...... Tiramisu We highly recommend you run do not walk!!

Pros - the service is great. They were very kind in seating our group without a reservation. The bread and oil combo is also super tasty. Cons - no real vegan options. Carbanara was more like watery Alfredo.

Have been coming to Galena every year for the past 15 years and was super excited to see a new restaurant this year as we walked down Main Street. Naturally, we made a reservation for dinner for the next day. It's a cute corner spot, not very big but big enough for a decent sized party to enjoy dinner and drinks. They have a bar with a TV too if you'd prefer to sit there. Service was kind and they had a decent drink menu. They served a focaccia for the table with an excellent olive oil, herb, and balsamic dip. We decided to order the chicken parm, chicken marsala, and eggplant parm. The entrees came with a salad for the whole table. I was pleasantly surprised with the marsala. I almost always enjoy the sauce most but the chicken was excellent. It was probably the most tender chicken I've had in a pasta dish. My mom expressed that same about her chicken parm. I think the only downside for me was the kids menu was a little pricey, about $12 for buttered noodles and it didn't come with a drink or side or dessert. Overall, I think we will be making Cucina Bella our Italian go to spot when in Galena. They have an extensive menu that has something for everyone.

Liked the place but did not care for the sauce on the eggplant and lasagna. The service was also just ok.

Ezequiel was helpful, easy to work with, and organized. We were able to drop off menus and place cards the day prior which were set up with the table so that all of our group could come in together and see them! This small accommodating detail made the day even more seamless and intentional for our guests. We hadn't been to Vinny's prior to the wedding weekend, so we were a bit anxious about the unknown food and service. In the end, both were great! We had the fried calamari, bruschetta, fried ravioli, and seafood stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. We had the lasagna, chicken parm, and pepper steak for our main course, and an assortment for treats for dessert. The portions were hearty, and everyone commented on how amazed they were at all the food that just came coming out! Our favorite was the chicken parm and tiramisu, but all of the food was good - my Italian mother in law approved! The next time we're in Galena, we will definitely be coming by for some chicken parm and tiramisu!

It has a lot more room than expected with enough space for live music. As for the drinks and food they're good stuff also. The prices can be high but it's not crazy for the atmosphere and quality. Basically this is one of the first places one encounters when entering town from the east. It's located in the Irish Cottage Inn & Suites. The hotel itself is very nice and has lots of amenities of its own if wanting to stay there. As for the restaurant itself it's one of the highlights. It's about $8 for an Irish coffee, which is a classic in the morning, evening, or whenever. Amazingly they have non dairy options including Bailey's Dairy Free Toffee Cream. It's about $18 or more for an entree which is a lot. We were able to find a few plant based options. I got the Roasted Squash Bowl. This has broccolini, farro, heirloom tomato relish, pickled red cabbage, and white beech mushrooms. An earthy flavor. She had the Vegan Shepherd's Pie. An alternative made with faux beef and mushroom gravy There's also plenty of meaty options like beef medallions. For sure it's one of the nicer restaurants around here. It's closed Mondays. They amazingly have a few things for vegans and vegetarians.
