I would actually give this place 4.5 stars if I could. Our first visit to Cue was the night we moved into our new home 9 months ago. It had been a long day and we were sore, tired, and cranky. The waitress asked if it was our first visit and welcomed us. Then she explained the sides and the four sauces to us. Our food arrived quickly (I don't remember what we had that first time but I do remember it was good) and then the live music started. The first song was "Home" and as I ate the yummy food and listened to the singer say "you know you're not alone 'Cause I'm gonna make this place your home" the day got a whole lot better. And it's been "home" ever since. We eat here about once a month and we've never had a bad meal. The food is made from scratch and it's all yummy, our favorite barbq place to date. I like the ribs ($16) and that's one of the pricier options but I usually get another meal out of it the next day. The brisket is also good. My husband loves the Brunswick stew, says it's the best he's had and he's tried it at a lot of places. He also loves their homemade pickles, mac n cheese and fried okra. They have small tables and large ones (we've had groups of 10 there without any trouble.) There's only a few minor things I don't like; not crazy about the fries there. Too greasy and soggy for my taste most times. The music (the piped in music not the live music) can sometimes be too loud for comfortable conversation and some of the tables are too close together so you might hear more of your neighbors chatter than you want. But my biggest pet peeve is that the four sauces aren't labelled and they look too much alike to keep them straight. I really don't get why they don't fix that because we have to ask every time we go in. But like I said, all of that is just minor stuff and it doesn't deter us one bit. We have and will continue to make Cue our barbq home. read more

Had a great experience at Cue. Ribs were excellent, sides are all really good. Went with a big group of 11, including two kids. Did not call ahead, so we had a little wait, but the host and manager were really great and got us seated as soon as they could. Everyone enjoyed their food. Cue is a regular craving for us. The barbecue is always tender, the rib meat falls off the bone and the variety of sauces on the table are imaginative and serve every palate. Went there once, with another couple. All around it was average, not overly interesting food nor service. My complaint with this business now is that their customers park in front of the Bluegrass nail salon. Routinely. Tonight I counted FIVE cars of 'cue' customers - three when I walked in & two when I left - who parked in front of the spa & marched right over to this unjustifiably busy, mediocre BBQ place. So rude. Although I have never done this, I will now have no problem parking smack in front of the restaurant next time to get to my salon. Not that I'm biased because of the inconsiderateness of this habit & the obvious refusal of "cue" or its landlord to do a thing about it...., but Smokejack is much much better BBQ and it is right down the road. read more

I've eaten here more times than I can count. Okay, I usually carry out, but not because there's anything wrong with the place; I just prefer taking my food to go and eating at home. And let me tell you, I think this place has the best BBQ on this side of the Atlanta metro. (This coming from a guy who grew up in the epicenter of the BBQ universe, Kansas City.) Get the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich, and grab a little extra tomato based BBQ sauce and some vinegar to dip it in. My mouth is watering just typing this. And by all means grab an order of their Mac and Cheese, which might just be the best I've ever had. And I LOVE the vinaigrette dressing on the Tomato and Cucumber salad. Yummm. We have eaten at Cue in Peachtree Corners and it is excellent. Great Bbq, just enough smoke and great sides. Unfortunately, Cue in Milton doesn't come close. Homemade sausage tonight was raw, we couldn't eat it. Baby back ribs were spare ribs and probably in the freezer so long they had frost bite and were boiled, then smothered with too sweet sauce. We didn't finish our expensive take out, and this is not the first time. At least the sides used to be good. I guess they are going through another transition here in Milton. Fried okra was cold, even the mac and cheese was cold. Please Milton, get it together. We can't take another gross meal! read more

This is as good as BBQ gets as far as I am concerned, in Georgia, that is. I am a big fan. The food was excellent, kind of Texas style BBQ, the beef was cooked just right, and it was much cleaner than Swallow in the Hollow, but the food was similar. The waitresses are all extremely nice and it has a much better atmosphere. My husband had the chicken, and he really liked it. He is a yankee, and thought it was the bomb, so it's not just me! My son had the pork, and it was really good also, he said. My only complaint is that they ran my credit card through 4 times, and it didn't get corrected on my statement until 6 days later! The BBQ is very good, but the sides are better. We ate the sausage for appetizer and had the potato salad and sweet potato pie and split the rack of ribs. All was very good. I was visting here from Colorado and we were looking for a good down home southern food restaarant. After reading fellow yelpers i was tempted to try this place. I am pleasently surprised at how amazing the food trully is. The meat just meated in your mouth and the sauces were to die for. When I come back I will definently be coming back here. This place is great. Have eaten at both locations and never a disappointment. The nachos are the best. Brunswick stew has just enough bite to it. My family and I would eat here everyday if we could. Mmmmm I know it might be odd to rave about the bread at a BBQ joint but OMG it is so good. The staff has always been friendly and prompt. The only drawback is they are so popular that it can be hard to find a parking space at lunch. They actually have a policeman directing traffic. It's a really small parking lot... Look, here's the lowdown. If you like bbq, check this place out. It was good. It was really good. I got the pork sandwich and my wife, the brisket. Super yummy, and the sandwich allows my other hand to hold a beer. I think bud light is bottled water (the taste) so if you're looking for good beer, get one of their microbrews. A southern staple for Alpharetta folks! I must say that my exploration of this menu is limited, as I always get the pulled pork or chicken or wings here. That being said, those are delicious and keep me coming back. It's a very casual and kid friendly restaurant which I currently appreciate and the service is always courteous and fast. Their mac n cheese is extra gooey and the fried okra app is amazing!!! I personally love their giant salads add pulled pork or the bbq meat of your choice. I am not a huge fan of bbq sauce and their house sauce is def not a favorite as it is very tomatoey. This is usually our go to spot for BBQ and we we usually go every other weekend and normally the service is good and the food is great. However today was a huge Memorial weekend fail. We got seated and the waitress came took our food and drink order but after about 10 minutes still no drinks, she got busy with side work and forgot, ok we can let that slide. After 20 to minutes of waiting no food and no the place wasn't packed, maybe half full at best. We finally decided to leave and on the way out talked to the acting manager, she said our food was ready and did we want it boxed. We decided to go back to the table and eat, unfortunately the fries were luke warm at best and we decided to go somewhere else. The manager did say that the kitchen was concentrating on catering orders, WOW at the expense of customers. They need to decide catering more important that customers in their restaurant and the possibility of losing customers due to bad service? read more

Been here twice. First time I had smoked wings to start and then a brisket platter. Smoked wings were awesome. Disappointed with the brisket. Was on the dry side and tough. But based on the wings figured I'd give it another shot. Second time I had Brunswick stew to start and ribs. Loved the Brunswick stew. Disappointed with the ribs. Not very tender and seemed kinda over cooked. Looked for the smoke ring and didn't find it. Then I found out why I was disappointed. The ribs are braised and then put on the grill. Didn't expect that from a barbecue joint. Third time's a charm? Haven't tried the pork. I don't know. Maybe if I end up there with someone I'll give the pork a shot but not expecting greatness. I am always leery of a BBQ restaurant that does not 1) have smoke coming from building (and I do not mean place on fire), and 2) does not smell like smoked meat inside or out. Went for lunch and split a slab of Baby Back Ribs. Ribs may be fall off the bone tender, but these are not the ribs this Kansas City girl grew up with. When the server explained the four sauces on the table, the first he pointed was "Sweet Tomato Kansas City style". My first reaction was, there is nothing Sweet about Kansas City style BBQ sauce. I reached for this "KC Style" sauce and was severely offended KC would be associated with this sauce. Clearly, people from Cue have never experience real KC Style BBQ Sauce. (Please refer to Joe's KC, where even Men's Health Magazine voted One of 13 Places to Eat Before You Die http://www.joeskc.com/awards-and-accolades/ ) Which leads me to Cue's ribs. I do not know what horrendous technique they use for their ribs, (please do not tell me you boil your ribs.) There was not much flavor to their meat. True smoked ribs have red meat, which this was very moist, brown meat. My stomach turned the rest of the day. My Atlanta friend agreed with me he did not care for Cue's ribs. Our shared fries, and fried okra arrived to our table room temperature, not hot. Other complaints we heard from our lunch group was their sliced pork was fatty. Cue, please stop associating your sauce with "KC Style". We real KC BBQ people find this very offensive. I am open to all styles, and willing to try almost anything once. I keep an open mind when I go to BBQ places, but this was not great, or even good. Just, eh. Cue is a clean, trendy place that tries to pass off mediocre BBQ with a cute name. read more

I don't get why people love this place so much. It's good not great. The first time I went there the brisket was just terrible. Seriously like the sole of a shoe bad. Pluses for the staff as they are really nice and aim to please. I have gone back several times because colleagues at work like it and the meat has never been bad like the first time.
