Jim 'N Nick's is a nice spot for some quick and FILLING barbecue. The restaurant is located near some big name stores (Costco, Home Depot, Walmart Supercenter, etc.) which can bring about a slew of guests after some variety shopping. The location offers both indoor and outdoor seating - both options which seem very inviting. On the day of our visit it was quite hot, so we opted to sit inside. There was plenty of parking and the co workers were very helpful and friendly. I truly enjoyed the food at Jim 'N Nick's and it purely satisfied my BBQ craving. The sausage was my favorite, and I also tried a bit of my husband's catfish - which was breaded amazingly. The cheese biscuits were superb, but the onion rings were easily my favorite side. There were so many sauce options - and I appreciated each and every one of them!

Mouth-watering Mr. Jim's Combo Plate (2 meats), Baby Back Ribs, Collar Greens, Mac and Cheese, Honey habanero wings, Cheddar Biscuits, Pulled-pork sandwich and Corn on the cob. Bar-B-Q Chicken Quarter & Thigh is $12.99 The bbq sauces are made to perfection and still delicious to take home as leftover. No freezers, no microwaves, and no shortcuts. 12-hour slow-smoked pork and beef, the food only take 5 to 10 mins for everything to be ready. Difficult stomach was happy and sastifed This is a wonderful restaurant for very high-quality barbecue, sides, and all of the fixings. You can count on great service, super fresh food, pleasant and clean environment. I would give this place a six star if I could. The cheese biscuits are warm, crisp around the edges, moist within, sweet, and slightly cheesy. These little gems are heavenly. I love that their corn on the cob is fresh and just perfect. Their Mac and cheese is oh-so rich, thick, silky, and creamy. Seriously still thinking about their baby back ribs! Can't wait to come back

We found our bbq place!! I drove by here a couple of months ago and just noticed it was here. Since then we have had Jim'n Nick's several times. I have not been inside... I have picked up and had it delivered, but we plan on visiting soon. Let me list all of the delightfully things we have had: 1 Their muffins... simply out of this world! Soft, tons of flavor, and addicting. 2 Their sliced Turkey... my personal favorite. Tender moist and scrumptious. 3 Their ribs... these are not the normal skimpy ribs... lots of meat on the bone tender and juicy! 4 The pulled pork... Smokey goodness through and through. 5 The chopped brisket... very flavor filled and delightful. 6 Their baked beans... WOW now these are truly great! A must have every time we order. 7 Their corn on the cob... good... my kids devour these every time. 8 French fries... also good 9 Their sauce... not sweet, not vinegar base, but true tangy bbq sauce with a hint of heat. This is pure taste bud goodness! The sauce is outstanding! I highly recommend the food here! It is worth every penny and once you've eaten here you will be lining plans for your next experience at jim'n Nick's right away! The drive through is set up well. They are extremely polite and considering what your getting they get it out in good speed. The first time I ordered I think I went a bit nuts trying everything... so I had a huge order... you place your order, pull up... and hold on. They have a couple of lanes so you just wait a bit as they bring food out to this customer or that and then bang! Yours comes to the car and you can smell it as it approaches. The Smokey heavenly greatness is hypnotizing! I'm so glad we found this location!

Great experience at Jim n Nicks! First of all, the restaurant is super clean...one could eat off the floor. While we were there...we saw employees constantly wiping down tables and keeping the place pristine. My hubby enjoyed his ribs and sausage and I really liked my sides...baked beans and potato salad. For me, the brisket was just average...but I enjoyed the meal overall and would definitely come back.

    The salad, fork and chili

Today I got a $5 chili (sized like a sample, with no added spoon), a salad that had a watered down tasteless barbecue sauce and stale croutons, tasty side biscuits and an okay flavored sweet tea. For all of this it was $12.49 and one of the most disappointing meals I had. I was so excited to go through the drive thru and order. The lady who took my order said that she could put me down for the least costliest salad on the menu ( and the least tastiest I now know) and then ordered a chili and a tea after that. I was surprised at the cost of the meal. I ended up throwing away my salad, and couldnt eat the chili since I had no spoon. But the girl at the drive thru window was very nice. Her name was Christina. They did end up giving me an oversized bag too for my order which brought my expectations even higher.

On Valentine's Day we stopped in after we went to the gym for a quick dinner. From beginning to end--a perfect experience. Clean restaurant--Absolutely the nicest serving staff! Great eye contact, cordial and excellent meal. Thank you!

OK, multiple choice question: A) Was it good? B) Was it delicious? C) Was it scrumptious? D) All the above? D! All the above for sure! Pulled pork wasn't dry like some places I've had (won't be named), Brisket you have two choices Lean or Marbled, I picked the latter. You cannot go wrong with anything at this place, my coworker had been the previous day and he came with cos he liked it that much. Need I say more? Ok, enough gushing! Go try it for yourself! Happy eating, - FJL

We entered and at first I was concerned because there were only two people in the restaurant. We ordered and received our food quickly and from the first bite of brisket I was hooked!!! We had the collards, mac & cheese, baked beans and Brunswick Stew. I was not happy with the Brunswick Stew but I'm hard to please on that item. I haven't had good batch in years. The people that know how to prepare it properly don't work in restaurants. Was charged $1 for two extra slices of bread. Uhhhhh really...it's bbq! Another drawback for me was the young lady working the register was pulling at the skin on her lips and I remember thinking oh lord she has her hands on her mouth, the register, the phone and everything else. I realize some people have nervous tendencies and try not to be too obnoxious when dining out but I sure miss the days of face masks and gloves. While we ate more and more people came in and when we left there was six people dining in, multiple pick up order, so it's a steady flow of people. The condiments station was neat and tidy. The restaurant itself is decorated with cute signage and quotes which lead to a relaxing environment. I grabbed a catering menu as I was leaving because everything was so delicious I have to convince my employer to treat us to bbq this summer. You can't go wrong with the strawberry lemonade.

Still, I really liked the vibe of the restaurant, and all that they had to offer, so we decided to try again. Well, again, we ordered the Galbijjim...and this time, there wasn't a Regular or Spicy like last time. We also ordered a small size of Seafood Pancake. Well...Gotta be frank. This time, the Galbijjim was TOO mild. In fact, it even had this brown watery soup base (which I don't remember was a thing with Galbijjim??). WOW. Just can't seem to find the right balance here. Quite disappointing because we both were knocked over by just how AMAZING it was in the original Duluth location. Unfortunately, the Galbijjim at this location is just not the same. It's either too hot-spicy...or too mild (and soupy?!?). Also, the portion is WAY smaller...almost too small. If you look at the hot pot, it barely fills the bowl (?!?). Too mild...too soupy...and too skimpy. So again, we were quite disappointed. We agreed that if we're to have Galbijjim, we'll be going to the Duluth location over this one. Two Strikes, and OUT for me! Their side dishes were good...but again, I felt that the Duluth location offers a much more spirited variety of sides as well. Not sure why this is the case? I found this surprising as well...given how high the ratings were here?? Luckily, there was something we were impressed with...and that was their Seafood Pancake. It was MUCH crunchier than how I remembered it in the past...and both my husband and I agreed that this was THE best version we've had to date! We regretted not ordering the large size of this...as we enjoyed this more than the Galbijjim! It's so unfortunate that I'm still not able to upgrade the review to 5 stars...especially given how I love the vibe of this restaurant! Service is quite good too. But their Galbijjim continues to disappoint...so must dock another star. Maybe if I/we revisit, I'll order something else from their menu...and hopefully, it'll be better than their version of Galbijjim???

Man it turned out to be a wonderful choice. I settled on a 2 meat combo plate. I chose brisket and turkey. My 2 sides were collard greens and hash brown casserole. Lets talk about that food. The turkey was moist, not dried out. The brisket was also moist and not tried out. I could literly cut it with my fork. Them Collard greens. Let me tell you. Usually I have to add pepper sauce. However there was no need to. They had the perfect amount of spice added to them. Another bonus. There was plenty of left over pot liquor ( juice) . I drank it up. The hashbrown casserole was perfect, Nice and cheesy. But the best part. While the meal all to gather was around $35. The most important fact was, I walked away full. To me this is where BBQ restaurants fall short in my opinion. You pay alot of money and still be hungry. I will also add this. Usually im not a big fan of BBQ sauces. I feel like good BBQ should stand alone , no sauce. However one of their sauces seemed to be a vinegar based sauce, witch i tend to like. The spicy one wasn't bad either though. I recommend you give them a try.
