Horrible experience; my fiancé and I stopped in for a pre Dragon Con meal and a drink and my fiancé had ordered a drink before realizing that she'd forgotten her ID. When I went to order a drink for myself though, our server instead got the manager who created an embarrassing scene accusing me of ordering MY drink for her. They also REALLY seem to enjoy gendering their patrons and embarrassed my fiancé by misgendering her the whole time. First time here at 'Cue with husband. People at his workplace recommended this as the place to go eat barbecue. We ordered the chopped pork with sides and large Texas toast. It was very good although slightly expensive. I loved the different types of bottled sauces to go with the pork. Also love the fact there is no microwave in the kitchen so the food is freshly prepared. It is worth it to come here again. I do wish 'Cue would offer a combination meat platter as I would love to try different type of meats like ribs and smoked chicken or brisket. read more

Still my favorite BBQ place around. The ribs are fall of the bone tender and they have my favorite hand cut russet potato french fries. Tonight I tried the sweet potato casserole (seasonal vegetable) and it had great flavor though I would have liked it to be a little thicker. The service is always quick and friendly. Our food was excellent and the service was great... 2 "downers" however... a kids choc milk was $2.25 and a refill was an additional $2.25. That was exorbitant since it only came in an 8 ounces foam cup. $4.50 added almost 20% to our total bill. Yeh it'll make a turd, other than that not really impressed. So yelp won't let me say just the minimum. The pork was chopped which to me says mushy or dry. This was both cause it had all the cartilage mixed in. That's not good. The fries were so greasy we couldn't eat them. The bbq beans, more like beans in a thick molasses red sauce. Brunswick stew had maybe 5 pieces of meat in it, so more like sauce with bbq. The Mac and cheese..that was good.. Now the sauce, mustard sauce isn't supposed to be sugary sweet, the hot vinegar sauce, had heat but no other flavor. The regular sauce was so sweet the brown sugar and molasses was over powering. The chicken was drenched in barbecue sauce & KK said she would not order again. The pork platter, okra, sweet potatoes & stew was awesome. We finished the meal w/ the peach cobbler a la mode. I thought the pulled pork was very good, the BBQ sauce itself was average. Need more selections of sauce as well. The bun was outstanding...but for me it was too much bun for BBQ. First time eating at Cue's today. Trying to go to every bbq joint I can find in search of truly good bbq. The bland reviews had me concerned and I should have heeded the warning. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich with collard greens and sweet potato casserole. The portions were really good. But the food was super bland. The pork had no flavor. I had to keep adding sauce to even get any taste. The collards were also bland. Sweet potato casserole was just average. Had much better elsewhere. I didn't even finish the sandwich and I never ever leave food on my plate. The place is super clean and the workers are very nice. But I will cross this one off my list as a tried it and will never eat there again. It's worth heading down 20 toward the mall and eat at Praise the Lard on Buford Hwy. Well worth it. Cue's is a very good, from scratch BBQ joint. The sides are excellent and the ribs are the best I've ever had. Let's be serious, they make their own pickles! And surprisingly their sausage is outstanding though time consuming since it is cooked to order, it does take a while to make it to your plate. I can't lie... this is my favorite bbq joint of all time. I have eaten everything on the menu, and you really cannot go wrong with anything you order. The ribs are always great, the sides are to die for, and the chicken is a safe bet for people who are unsure what to order. I tend to order the pork and brisket sliced, because I like the flavor of the fat and outer part of the meat. I would just ask if the brisket is looking good that day, because sometimes it can be a little dry. You cannot go wrong with any of the sides though. The fries take a bit on a busy night because they seem to be cooked-to-order, although the potato salad and collard greens are my two favorite besides the seasonal vegetable the rotate. Beware though, when they say veggies, they are not healthy, so all you people looking to stay on your diet, get a salad here! read more

Nachos topped with black beans, cheese, and corn were a bit run of the mill but filling. Smoked pork -- outstanding. Juicy, with just enough fat to make the meat really decadent on the tongue. Falling apart tender. Sausages -- these were good too, very porky in flavor, although I'm not sure if I'd order them again. The smoked pork was better. Sides - coleslaw (mayo based and vinegar based), fries, fried okra -- all really delicious and fresh. I loved the fries. We walked out with a $46 bill, including tax/tip and 2 non-alcoholic beverages. The prices posted on their website menu are out of date. The actual prices were a few dollars higher per dish. It was busy when we arrived with a full parking lot - always a good sign of a popular spot! Service was friendly and swift. They did what they could to seat us quickly and get our good order in (we were trying to catch a show afterwards). We got the sliced beef brisket sandwich platter with a side of fries and coleslaw. The beef brisket was deeeeelicious and flavorful. The coleslaw was a little bland on its own but was a nice topper to the sandwich. We slathered the sandwich with all the BBQ sauce options. This review could be a bit controversial and part of me thinks I've lost my mind, but I have to tell the truth. Their baby back ribs are amazing. They are non-traditional in every way that would make BBQ purist cringe. They are too tender. They have little to no chew. They have only a hint of a smoke ring. But somehow these ribs turn out to have tenderness that equates into succulent and melt-in-your-mouth feel. They also have an incredible sear and black char in spots that is supreme cararmelization that will send shivers of joy across your taste buds. They are a juicy, blackened, deep-flavored mess on your plate that is positively addictive! I am on stuck on these ribs and cannot get them out of my head when I have gone a week without them. Purists may not like them but the people will love them. 'Cue rules and I could not be happier about having this place exist so closely. Sides are fine, atmosphere is sports-bar nice, clean, friendly staff, and tasty version of pulled and chopped pork. But I am still stuck on those ribs. The stuff of dreams! read more

I really like this place. I like to get the SW BBQ chicken salad. One of the best salads ever. And they hook it up big time with the meat. The brisket is good too. Great service and staff. And the live music they have there on the weekends is nice. I wish they would have a better wine selection. Something more middle of the road quality and not "house wine". Waitress was really friendly, but service was just ok. Only real issue I had was with their sauce selection. All the sauces were very watery, not a thick BBQ sauce like you would expect to find. We had dinner at Cues on 1/8 and I was pleased. The service was excellent and the taste of the food was superb! The atmosphere was excellent and I even liked the entertainment. Overall the experience was delightful. Concerning the food what we ordered was prepared perfectly even the bbq didn't have any fat or gristle. The only thing that I see that could be improved on was the four types of bbq sauce could have been labeled. All in all, I would recommend Cues to anyone who wants a great place to eat! read more
