The dining room was empty when I arrived. Service was prompt. No warm & fuzzies but decent greeting. Seated immediately. Food was good. All Jim & Nicks are pretty stable as far as good quality food. This one was no different. Overall, a decent experience. Nice clean dining room.

Combo Plates with 2 Meats - Carolina-Style Pork (With 1 Trimming) and Beef Brisket with Macaroni & Cheese and Slow-Cooked Collards

My husband was excited to come here because they have Carolina style pork. We ordered the 2 meats platter and we picked pork and brisket, and for the sides we ordered Mac and cheese and collard greens. My husband enjoyed the pork and said that it was almost perfect but the sauce he's used to is a little thicker than the one they have but he is happy with it. My brisket was disappointing and dry. I ate one piece and didn't want the rest. My husband enjoyed his sides and I loved the biscuits that were served. I even asked the server if I could have some more and she brought me some. The service was pretty slow though. I did like that we were seated right away. Since hubby likes it, he'll probably be back but I'll try a different meat.

We ate here for the 1st time, after visiting The Collection regularly for years! Orders came out fast & we were pleased with everything. Booths are large & it was busy but not too loud! It was so good I placed a pickup order the following week! Chopped pork is great & love the Mac & cheese! Staff was very friendly for pickup! Will definitely order again!

Took my parents here tonight after having lunch with a friend on July 4th earlier this week. The lunch was so good that I knew I had to bring my family here for their southern BBQ experience because things have been a little inconsistent for them. Tonight was not busy inside the restaurant, but that was not a bad thing. Kathleen was our server tonight, and she did not disappoint at all. On top of everything that we needed, there to help answer questions, and basically a member of our family with her attitude and professionalism. We started out by ordering some drinks, as well as an small appetizer of onion rings to complement our cheesy biscuits (more closer to muffins but it's not a big to-do. Hot out of the oven and fryer- both were wolfed down and enjoyed by us. My father loves ribs- so he went with a half rack with collards and Mac n cheese. My mother went with a brisket sandwich and had the collards also, as well as the baked beans. I had the catfish (2 fillets) with fries and Mac n cheese so I could share. Sides of sauces: sweet bbq, extra tartar, and Carolina style vinegar based. I had a taste of everything and the beans were a pleasant surprise for me. Onion rings are so good here, I'm positive they're freshly made and not frozen but this was a mini argument we had- my catfish was crazy tasty with their special dredge that I think would make anything taste so good! We had no room for dessert, but I promise the next time I'm here and sitting in Kathleen's section I'll make sure I save room for either a pie or the banana pudding. Thanks to the team here. Couldn't tell from the packed lunch earlier this week to the slower early dinner service tonight. The food was top level and the service from Kathleen tonight was impeccable. When my family comes to visit near Thanksgiving this is on the list for the kiddos to come destroy the menu. Thanks Jim and Nick's BBQ for another epic experience. I'll be back! Kathleen I'll be sure to ask for you when I'm in the area!

Great food and good ambience. Sam was awesome and was great with his service. We ordered Deviled eggs and smoked wings as appetizers and brisket and Rib for main course. Exceptional experience overall on a Sunday night when they are about to close for the day!

Chips and Dip!! So simple and so delish! Add great service from Megan..

$60 and a tip and they pack the order without BBQ sauce. Pay attention to the online order. It's not that hard.

Andrina was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Give her a raise lol We started with the Crab Fried Mac n Cheese and it was not what we anticipated but we enjoyed it. (Hint: get the house made Ranchero sauce.) For our mains we got the Shroom and Swiss Burger (bae) and the biscuits and gravy with a fried egg. Everything was hot and flavorful and the biscuits are perfectly described in the menu. Definitely a place we'll be back to when we have to Rendezvous on a weekend. lol #iykyk (And yes, I need to do a better job of taking photos of my food.)

There were nine of us--not exactly a tiny table, but hardly the kind of group that should throw a restaurant into chaos. To be fair, we did wait for two people in our party before ordering food. It was probably 20-30 minutes, and we made it very clear to our server that we were waiting. We also weren't just camping out at the table. We started with drinks while we waited, so the restaurant was already making money from our table before the kitchen ever had to cook a single thing. Once everyone arrived, we placed one order together. No staggered tickets, no special requests, no unnecessary complications. The thing is... the restaurant was practically empty. If anything, I would've thought they'd be happy to have a table of nine on a slow brunch. Instead, it felt like we were an inconvenience. Once we finally ordered, it was another 30-plus minutes before much of anything happened. Our waitress wasn't rude, but she also wasn't particularly interested in us being there. She checked the boxes, but just barely. It felt less like hospitality and more like someone waiting for the end of their shift. What made the whole experience even stranger was looking around the restaurant. It wasn't busy, yet several employees seemed to be standing around talking while we sat waiting. During the hour or two we were there, I think only a couple of other parties came through the door. At one point there were two hostesses managing what amounted to a trickle of guests while tables that were already seated waited on drinks, food, and attention. Maybe there's more going on behind the scenes than I could see, but from where we were sitting, it felt less like they needed more people and more like they needed to use the people they already had a little better. Then came the mimosas. These were less mimosas and more "suggestions of citrus." It was basically champagne with a couple thoughts of orange juice. At one point we had to ask for more orange juice just to get it to the legally recognized definition of a mimosa. They tasted like champagne that heard flavored sparkling water was popular and decided to reinvent itself. There was a whole lot of "mim" and not much "osa." At nearly $14 each, I expected something a little more festive and a little less... chemistry experiment. For food, I ordered the Fried Green Tomato Benny: two biscuits, fried green tomatoes, poached eggs, Cholula hollandaise, and fresh fruit. On paper, that's a fantastic brunch. In reality, it was aggressively average. Nothing was quite hot enough. The biscuits had crossed that invisible line between baked and overbaked, where every bite makes you wonder if they're fresh or just committed to the bit. The whole dish felt like it had spent just a few too many minutes waiting for someone to remember it existed. And then there was the fruit. You know the kind of fruit bowl where every piece somehow tastes exactly the same because it's been sitting in the same juice for hours? That's what this was. Cheap melon, tired grapes, and enough pooled juice to ensure every bite shared the same identity crisis. To top it all off, the Benny was around $18, and the mimosas were pushing $14 each. I'm not going to call it a scam because words have meanings. Nobody tricked us. The prices were right there on the menu. We knew exactly what we were doing. We just expected the experience to justify it. On the bright side, the restaurant looks like it was designed by someone who has never met food, but has definitely met Pinterest. And honestly, it shows. Modern farmhouse, soft lighting, curated everything--it nails the aesthetic. Which is great, because you'll have plenty to look at while everything else catches up. It's funny how common this is now: it's easier than ever to make something look finished. You can polish the surface until it feels complete, even when the inside still isn't. Anyway--great aesthetics. The rest feels like it's still figuring itself out.

We never feel rushed out of there which is appreciated for our minimal date night opportunities. There is a lot of historic significance here at this location for the city of Cumming. Reservations are not required, but they do offer the option, as well as family-style takeout meals if you are on the go.
