We took this tour with Jesus and Jessica as our guides - both were fantastic, very knowledgeable about the history, geology, flora and local animals. Also they were great with the kids on the tour. I would highly recommend this company!

¡Gracias! Thank you! This was an amazing experience! The cave window took my breath away, I have never been inside a cave before and this was incredible. This company truly cares about the environment of Puerto Rico and informs everyone about the beauty and wildlife living amongst the land. Jesus lead the way and made us feel safe and comfortable and he was so kind! They give you safety helmets and flashlights halfway through the tour, you will see bats and be in dark quiet areas. Highly recommend and is worth it! Tour was about 1.5 hours long

Great tour with Jesus! He is friendly and very knowledgeable about the caves and other facts about Puerto Rico in general. The tour lasted a little over 90 minutes and was given in both English and Spanish. The handrails were well maintained and very useful and necessary in a lot of the areas. Good, sturdy shoes are a must with tread. Some of the steps going down into the cave are steep and one of our group had a bad knee and didn't want to chance the stairs down. It had rained quite a bit the previous few days so some areas were a little slick. All in all a great experience!

Worth visiting! I appreciated the very knowledgeable guide and their commitment to protecting this cave. Melissa and partner were wonderful. Answered so many questions and was great at navigating a mixed group. It was cool to see petroglyphs and learn about the important species in the cave.

Trailing through the jungle to get to this cave was an experience. Definitely a sight to see. It's one of those "oh I did it" experiences. The guide was very helpful and extremely informative. You go down as a group which wasn't bad, great way to meet new people. All the photos seen were taken on an iPhone. I don't suggest using flash since there's bats in the cave as well.

My family and I just did this tour and highly suggest fitting it in your trip. Our tour guides Brian and Natalia were so kind and informative. Couldn't think of anything that would have made it better. Thank you!

As others have mentioned, the only way to do this is paying for a guided tour. However, I do highly suggest to do that. Our guide was wonderful and took time to explain everything we saw and show us wildlife. He also did the tour in Spanish & English which was so helpful for all people! The window itself is STUNNING and so picturesque. I only wish I could have stayed longer! It does rain from time to time and can get muddy, and this is also in a cave, so bring proper shoes! I highly suggest doing this on your trip to Puerto Rico.

Few experiences can be compared to Las Cuevas Ventanas in Arecibo. It's an experience that's unique. It's an adventure like no other into the heart of an island, into it's history, and into the very soul that makes it Puerto Rico. When you take part in this tour prepare yourself to not just see a beautiful and unique cave but also learn about the true history of Puerto Rico, it's original inhabitants - the Tainos - and also about its endemic natural wonders. Prepare yourself to interact and get to know people from all over the world. Our tour had Canadians, people from also all regions of the United States, visitors from Mexico, the Dominican Republic and even Pakistan and Lebanon. While finding the place is a bit hard because it's right next to the highway, once you do everything is easy. There's ample parking, there's a gas station next to the starting point, and the guides are incredibly helpful. After paying and once up the mountain, you get to the base camp or meeting point, where your guides provide you with helmets so your protected inside the cave. Then they guide you down the mountainside and through the foliage while provide incredible tibbits about the natural resources of the island. Being inside the cave is a whole different story. They joke and play with your sensory disorientation. The explain the formation of stalagmites and other rock formations and they introduce your to the petroglyphs left behind by the ancient civilization to populate the Caribbean. That all happens before you even see the start of the show - La Cueva Ventana. And once you do, you'll forget about the world and will remain in awe of how beautiful Mother Nature can really be. You won't forget it!

If you are in PR and you have a car, Cueva Ventana is a MUST. Totally worth the entire $21 admission fee. This is such a well thought out tour. Upon paying for your entrance you are provided with a sanities helmet that you are to wear at all times. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable with the history of the cave and engaging the group. After you do the hike and go inside the cave you come up to a breathtaking site, and you are given ample time to take all the pictures in the world you can imagine.

Great stop to see some amazing views. Though you can only get to this via the tour. About $20 a person. They supply hard hats for everyone. best if you wear sneakers, though I did see some girls wearing sandals, it is not recommended and the tour guide can deny you entrance (pretty sure I saw it in their rules). The guide will provide lots of information on the island and the flora/fauna. the hike is not long and there are several long stop along the way. They time it so that there is only one group at the "ventana" at a time. Once there, you get about 15 min to grab your picture and enjoy the view. Bring water and bug spray. Expect the whole thing to take about 2 hours.

    Lory L.

Definitely wear hiking gear. Can be very dangerous because of the wind. Very beautiful scenery. Absolutely gorgeous! They charge $10 per person.
