We've used Cuisine Privé on quite a few occasions. Whether it's something being dropped off or being prepared in person by Sandra and her staff it is always perfection. We recently enjoyed a fabulous dinner for Thanksgiving. Everything was delivered on time ready to eat. They even included food tags although we did not need them since it was just immediate family. But we certainly appreciated that little touch. When the food arrived Sandra's assistant placed it in the kitchen for us. We had planned to eat later in the day; however when we opened the food containers everything was hot and looked so delicious we decided to eat immediately! It's not very often that I have a party like I had last night. 125 of my nearest/dearest to help me ring in my 50's, so when my co-host and I were deciding on caterers, etc, I read the yelp reviews of Sandra and decided to reach out and hear her thoughts. We were having the party at a large private home in Central Phoenix, and Sandra scheduled an introductory meeting with us there. She walked the property and we shared ideas back and forth - and at the end, she proposed a menu of heavy appetizers to be carried on platters throughout the crowd for the evening. It sounded PERFECT, but we REALLY wanted to add Lamb Chops to the line-up and she happily agreed, stating that she had an incredible sauce that would be perfect to serve atop them. I saw the review that criticized Sandra's responsiveness and I understand it, though I never felt ignored. Sometimes it just took a day before she answered an email or phone call. I think she could probably use an office manager that handles changes and questions - but, she told me later that texts work a lot faster and she was right. Plus, she's literally like a one woman dynamo so give her a break! She arrived at the party about 1 1/2 hours before the first guests arrived. She brought with her a very well-dressed and polite staff that immediately set about prepping the appetizers. They were friendly and engaging while they were in the kitchen and all were a pleasure to get to know. When guests began arriving, we left the area where they were cooking, and that was honestly the last time we got anywhere near them. From that point forward, the staff began with trays of Crab Cakes, Chicken Skewers, Tomato Crostini and Lamb Lollipops (she was right, the sauce was INCREDIBLE) - While inside, a Slider Bar with Beer Braised Brisket, fresh Guacamole and Chips, and Cheeses, Meats, Etc.. were featured. EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS SUPERB. I eat out constantly and I LOVE good food, and let me tell you - this was GOOD FOOD. It never stopped coming and no one ever had to go and find staff for more food. Further, the staff made sure that guests were alright with their wine supply and catered to every need they had. By the end of the evening, the kitchen was left spotless, with any leftovers packaged away in the refrigerator. I have NO REGRETS hiring Sandra, and I will happily make the same call again when I have another party. My guests raved constantly about the food and how good it was, and that - along with great weather, wine and music - made for an unforgettable evening. Thank you Sandra! read more

In short: Sandra wasn't the responsive and helpful chef I was expecting. Totally opposite of what I read in these reviews, Sandra was very unresponsive which caused myself and the people I got this gift for to cancel and get a refund. At least Sandra was kind enough to give us a refund I suppose. I wouldn't recommend her unfortunately. It took over a year and a half of back and forth with her until we finally said screw it. ---------------------- More details: I got two friends of mine that were getting married this personal chef gift to use whenever they wanted. They tried calling Sandra multiple times to no avail. I tried helping out by emailing her to ask if she could get ahold of them and sent her their phone number, which she never used to call them despite claiming she would get in touch with them the next day. I had to follow up yet again two months after she said she would call them with still no luck at getting this set up. We decided to cancel the plans and ask for a refund, which she ended up agreeing to. After informing me of it possibly taking up to 90 days, I waited. When over 90 days passed and I still hadn't received the refund I sent her an email letting her know. She then proceeded to tell me the check was in the mail. 13 days passed and I received another email from her informing me that she forgot to mail it and that she would put in in the mailbox the next day on Friday. When another 17 days passed I sent her another email asking her about the status of the refund, which she responded to a few days later saying that it "totally slipped my mind" and that she "dropped it in the mail yesterday". All in all she was difficult to get ahold of via email or phone and I felt like once she got that deposit of $100 she didn't care much to follow through with preparing a meal. This was saddening, since I was looking forward to this for my friends and pretty happy about finding such a gift. read more

She designed a delicious menu that hit our palates perfectly with little to no guidance other than a quick review of our wine rack and learning that we are "foodies". If Sandra had not told me that this was her first experience serving a couple who intentionally could not see and had no prior knowledge of the menu, I would have never known because she was so cognitive of the unique challenges we would be facing by not being able to see. I contacted Sandra to be "chef-for-the-day" for my girlfriend's birthday. Sandra was incredibly responsive. She worked with me to prepare an excellent all-day menu for the event. She arrived early and cooked a special breakfast for myself, my girlfriend and her two children. After breakfast, she worked to prepare lunch, dinner and desserts for the remainder of the day. She allowed the children to help her bake and decorate the cake. Sandra is kind and very personable. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!!! We were stuffed all day long. We had enough food for three days. I had no idea what I wanted for a cocktail party and had no recommendations for a caterer. I took a chance on Sandra after reading reviews on Yelp and am so happy I did. She got back to my right away with suggested appetizers and allowed me to sample a few. All I can say is the food was EXCELLENT! She created a meal that more than pleased ten adults and two children. With the ten adults at a large table we sat the kids at the counter, Sandra treated the kids every bit as special as she did the adults maybe even more so. In addition, they catered a brunch for out of town family the following day. They made the events so effortless for us.
