    Shrimp scampi
    Anh N.

Came up from driftwood for sunset views and CG didn't disappoint! Came on a Saturday evening right before sunset and it was bustling! Service was top notch and fast! Drinks are made well. No reservations for parties less than 8. Shrimp scampi pasta was delish ( more on the Alfredo vs buttery side) ...fish and chips, perfectly battered! Get a table on the patio for great views of the marina! Skip the oasis touristy spot.

Beautiful spot overlooking the lake/river. The food is decent. Great service. Great ambiance.

What a gorgeous spot on Lake Travis! Service was prompt and attentive. Food was fresh and perfectly presented. Presented? Beautiful plates, well seasoned, and worth another visit. Can't wait to come back and try new things. Put this on your brunch, lunch, and or dinner list!

Great food at a reasonable price. Service was spot on, attentive but not smothering. Dining area a little loud. Kids welcome, though there were a few running around. Overall good place.

This is a pretty busy little spot when the weather is nice. I got sports bar vibes on the interior & casual restaurant vibes on the exterior. I imagine a majority of the patrons are from the neighborhood. It's right next to the marina and some community amenities. We ate here during our weekend stay at Lakeway Resort, only a few mins away. Our server (Margarita, I think) was pretty awesome. Despite the kitchen being busy and out of one entree that we wanted, Margarita was very accommodating and super sweet! We were just enjoying the lovely afternoon and view of the lake/boats while seated on the patio and in no particular rush. It was a Saturday so there was plenty of traffic going to and from the tram thing that carries folks to and from their boats/the dock. Overall the food was good from the spinach queso and redfish to the sweet potato fries and amazing Brussel sprouts. They weren't "bad" but I probably wouldn't order the chicken tenders again. For 10% off be sure to use the check-in!

Beautiful place to eat with amazing food. However, just be prepared for slow service. I saw several people who were upset about how slow it was to get their food or bills. We had a large group and were seated quickly. It took a while to get our waitress's attention. We started off with the calamari appetizer which was hot and fried perfectly. I got the redfish special which had a lot flavor. The mashed potato and brussel sprout sides were also delicious. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos - a little spicy for me. Great food but just make sure you're not in a rush. They are understaffed and usually at full capacity of people being served.

    Ahi Salad

This restaurant is certainly busy and the entire staff hustles and bustles for a neighborhood grill. Overall, drinks are made with care and the entrees and starters are an assortment of the grill spectrum. Had the French dip and the Ahi Salad. For $20, the French dip was enormous. Not sure how to consume something like this but you get plenty to share. The ahi tuna salad was absolutely packed in a deep bowl so challenging to get all the flavors at once. Includes rice at the very bottom and super fresh veggies. I would recommend less cabbage and more rice, preferably jasmine instead of long grain. The tuna was in large cold chunks piled on top so I suggest mixing it throughout. Whatever season is used, I would recommend to the chef to toss the seasoning with fresh tuna poke right before serving. As is, it was dry and clumpy. With this said, I do recommend. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive.

Enjoyed this place 100%. Five thumbs up for food because everyone at the table were happy. Shrimp tacos with black beans and grilled asparagus , Kobe burger with sweet potato waffle fries, Asada steak tacos with cilantro rice and white potato waffle fries, Power bowl vegan, and kids Mac and cheese meal. Our hostess and waitress, Margarita (probably not correct spelling), was so inviting from beginning to end of our meal. It was a cold day, the dining room was nearly full, and she suggested outdoor seating. We cringed loudly, but she quickly said special words such as "heated" and "very warm". Frowns were turned right-side up because we made a good choice. We had the whole closed patio to ourselves and perfectly toasty, genuinely relaxed. The main floor is small and quaint. Restrooms were clean. They were short staffed, but we couldn't tell.

I love this hidden gem! We will be back. Plenty of parking, and a large selection of food and drinks. They have fire pits on the outdoor patio too, nice to grab one of those for the chillier days/sunsets. My fave wine here so far is the French rosé. We had the mahi taco - well seasoned and tender. The burger was excellent. Cooked perfectly. Shishito peppers could have been a bit more charred. I would suggest pillows for the cold metal chairs and the bathroom smelled pretty bad - both the men's and women's...Id expect better from this place. Glad I went in after eating or I might have lost my appetite. Views are so pretty too. A view of the lake and a small infinity pool. Feels like a resort. Staff was attentive and friendly. Overall great experience.

The chicken is so tender and flavorful. Very fresh salad nice touch by adding fennel and orange segments. Comes with a delicious homemade ranch, but I also tried the lemon aïoli on the side. Perfection! Nice selection of Takeaway items as well, including bone broth, chicken, salads, and family trays of chicken enchiladas.

Upscale beer is available as well as elegant Yuppie beverages. They have very good filtered water served for free in a nice samovar. I recommend the samovar. * * * I am likely to be fussier about Chicknic than are Bee Cave Residents. I would take those enthusiastic Bee Cave Resident reviews seriously. Factors that shape my not-with-the-crowd views on Chicknic. 1) It is actually harder than one thinks to do a roast chicken and chicken tenders restaurant that beats the competition because the competition happens to be very good. 1a) If you want chicken to die for, Your two best options are to go Peruvian or Guatemalan, All of which are available in Greater Austin. Inka, a Peruvian fast food restaurant on Wells Branch in the Pflugerville/North Austin nether land Makes some of the best roast chicken on the planet. Guatemalan chicken - which is done best if fried, can be found at Pollo Campero in Round Rock and the Buda/Kyle nether land. Pollo Campero is another experience not to be missed. 1b) If you limit the competition narrowly to American fast food chains, the chicken category actually has some of the most high integrity fast food chains in the country. Chick-Fil-A sets the standard for putting out good honest food in a fast food format. It doesn't hurt that they are ecologically responsible as well. They play "Southern Fast Food" because that is what they have to do for marketing ... but they are actually working at a higher level. Boston Market is more in the take-home-dinner niche. But they also turn out a high integrity product. 1c) The level of the competition means that Chicknic really has to be very good in order to beat out formidable rivals. 2) Bee Cave is seriously restaurant short. This is particularly the case given the high density of high income residents. So it doesn't take much to be a major contributor to the Bee Cave scene. Lakeway used to be that way - but Lakeway is finally fully restaurant stocked. Austin and Round Rock are rolling in restaurants. So us Yelpers from out of town can afford to be a little fussier than can Bee Cave Residents who for now are over a barrel. (Over time, Bee Cave will fill in appropriately.) * * * So what is my take on Chicknic? Under-salted. There is not enough alternative spice and not enough native flavor to make up for a basic lack of NaCl. Salt at the table would be a huge form of First Aid here. It could be fancy Pink Himalayan Salt from a gourmet store if management needs something more in sync with the ethos of the place. Strangely the sauce I had (the sweet sauce that comes with the tenders) does not provide enough spark to cover for the chicken. And sad to say, the tenders just are not all that interesting as chicken, given the other stupendous chicken dishes that are available elsewhere in town. It could be the roast chicken is better than the tenders. It could be that the alternative vegetable side dishes are stupendous ... Although - the salt question aside - my traditional French Fries weren't too bad. * * * I think management really wants to have a legendary classy place. Certainly, most Bee Cave residents are not going to drive to Wells Branch to get take out chicken to bring home. Locals give this place enthusiastic Yelp Reviews. I see their point. If you live in Bee Cave, believe your neighbors. If you are the type of person who eats all over the place, then you may be more in agreement with fussy old me.

My absolute favorite dish is the fried fish and chips--perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. It's honestly one of the best versions I've had anywhere. On my most recent visit, I also tried the lettuce tacos, which seem to be really popular there right now. The moment I took my first bite I fell in love with the flavor. They were fresh, light, and packed with amazing taste. I ended up eating the whole thing right away because they were just that good. I also ordered the fried dill pickles, which are another personal favorite of mine. They were perfectly fried and full of flavor. One thing I've noticed every time I visit is that the restaurant is always busy, which says a lot. It's clear that many people love their Mediterranean menu, and after eating here multiple times, I completely understand why. I also enjoyed sitting outside at the Hill Country Galleria--it's a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Artemis Mediterranean Grill if you're in the area. The food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone, and it's definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

Overall, the restaurant was much more crowded than I expected for a Thursday night in Bee Caves. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Although I saw two servers, the manager also helped out where he could. It took a while for us to be acknowledged and for our orders to be taken. However, the food came out quickly after we ordered. The place has a large patio area as well as indoor seating, plus a sizable bar with TVs. I felt the food was fresh and well-prepared. I do wish there had been more shrimp in my pita and that the price was lower. I paid $19 for a pita with just three shrimp, and there was an extra charge for the salad instead of fries. Since we don't eat out as much as we used to, I'm not sure when we will return.

The League Tavern is a gastropub…read more "Gastropub". That word is so 2010's. A decade ago calling yourself a "gastropub" was the coolest thing in the hospitality industry. Now, it is a lost artifact of another decade, along with Swedish House Mafia and Britney Spears. The League calls itself a retro reminder of the eating clubs of the 1920's and 1930's. It is pretty damm good as a gastropub. It would not really want to be an eating club of the Prohibition era. Menus in that era could be pretty awful. Mashed parsnips. Liver and onions. Greens that have been cooked to death. Tough steaks. Low quality lager beer. The Indian Puddings were all right. The fish was great if it was fresh. I wish they would bring back Welsh Rarebit. But the League sticks to a contemporary menu ... And I am glad they do. Their contemporary dishes are just great. I had a faro salad with grilled shrimp on top. The faro salad was everything I would want a grain salad to be. (I have had some awful tabboulehs and quinoa salads in my time.) The shrimp were completely lovely. Prices are high - but that is what comes with being a gastropub. The concept is: Pay more. Eat higher quality. The Lakeway market will certainly support the League in the prices it wants to charge. The selection on the menu - and for that matter the selection at the bar - is fairly restricted. Having a small menu is not a necessary correlate of being a gastropub. Some gastropubs offer you an expansive range of choices. But careful management of the menu choices means that each and every dish can be polished to a high degree of execution finesse. Practice makes perfect. My guess is that the League envisions itself as a neighborhood place - albeit a rich neighborhood place. Their customers are likely to be regulars. The regulars order their favorite dishes over and over. I myself like my bars and grills to be Cheaper, Funkier and With bigger selections on the menu and at the bar itself. So the League is not exactly my style. But what they do, they do well. They are expanding, opening more branches in more locations. They can do this because the League fills a real need in the Lakeway-Bee Cave market. If a Lakeway resident were to invite me to be their guest at the League Tavern, I would be happy to accept that invitation. Especially if they were picking up the check.

The macaroni is actually big shells, and I love that cause the cheese gets inside of the shell and it's cheesy gooey. Cheese was fantastic. Really enjoyed the Mac. Brussels sprouts I feel were just steamed. They didn't have that chard crispy outside. Just plan steamed sprouts. My small meal was delicious. Hoping to actually eat inside and have a cocktail.
