We have been receiving 5 gallon jugs of distilled water for a few years. I put a new jug into the distribution machine yesterday. This morning - Friday- I was getting a glass of water and found a dead fish in the jug. They won't come until Monday...and we had to fuss about getting a new distribution machine. Absolute nightmare! Ive been paying for service for over a year. The device hasn't worked this whole time- I have called monthly to request service, every time they tell me it's working and it isn't. Finally they fixed it (the one person with actual training and skills) and it broke again shortly after. I have yet to actually enjoy soft water since I started paying for the program. They offered to wave my fee for the next 4 months, BUT INSTEAD they CHARGED me for 4 months EXTRA by mistake!!! All I got was a "woopsie, that person is on vacation" That was 20 DAYS AGO- still has not been refunded for the inappropriate charge. I leave voicemails every day. Every day they say they will contact me back that day and they do not. This is awful. ITS STILL NOT WORKING! I DEFINETLY DONT FEEL GOOD ABOUT THIS. read more

Have been a business customer for more than 10 years. Reliable when it was Ice Mountain and ReadyRefresh but service has dropped off significantly since Culligan took over. Website functionality is lacking as well - used to be able to schedule/reschedule/see future delivery schedule online. Currently just had to call to schedule the 4th attempt to get our water delivered for this month. They just keep not showing up. No attempt to fix it, no guarantee they would make it this week either. Terrible. read more

All around, an incompetent business. If anything is wrong, you are out of luck for long periods of time. The technicians only came out a couple times a month, so it takes an exorbitant amount of time to get things working. I had service in the summer at a house we were renovating-- I ordered the stand that can both heat and cool the water, neither worked. I called, they took weeks to bring a new one. I finally get a new one! It doesn't cool the water. Not only does this cooler that we are paying to rent (and we've waited on) not provide cold water in the summer, the technician also left a valve in the back open when dropping it off, so an entire jug of water leaked onto the carpet. I canceled my service. No one apologized for the issue. No refund was offered for the ridiculous circus experience with Culligan. After numerous complaints, in November, (3 months later) they took off the $15 for the jug the technician leaked into our floor. Now they are still asking for $15 for our last jug. It sends a message that this company will stand behind incompetent behavior and petty behavior as a business. In addition, when I called and talked to Steve. He was dismissive and unprofessional in tone. He claimed there was no one I could file a complaint with about my experience (except to call back at his number). Run don't walk to a different provider! Kroger and Walmart offer the same water coolers and jugs at a cheaper price without dealing with careless technicians and a dismissive attitude from Steve. read more

Rob Middleton is the best! He is a great salesman, a very knowledgeable man on the water conditioning systems with Reverse Osmosis. He told us he would do a follow-up visit in about 10 days after installation. Well he was here today, checked everything out and said everything was fine. We would go with Culligan again & again and would want Rob Middleton be our technical associate. He is the best!!. We would definitely deal with Rob again. read more

I had a softener installed 20 years ago and I was very happy with it and culligan. I've had it serviced over the years without any issues. It finally had some issues and I called culligan to come out and repair if possible or see about a new replacement. (I confirmed the model with them at the time and they had the information on the unit). I took a vacation day to make sure I was available in order to get this completed. Had a great service tech come out and he looked at it for approximately five minutes and pretty much said it would be throwing money away to do anything to it since the resin couldn't be changed since had been discontinued). I asked him what would a replacement softener cost because I wanted to purchase a new unit. He told me that he would pass that on since he just repairs them and their sales team would call me to provide me that information and they would call later that day. I asked what the charge was for his visit and he told me no charge since all he did was look at the model and give me the information that he couldn't change the resin. He mentioned that they would hope that I would purchase a replacement system from them. I finally got a call from culligan the following day and they wanted to set up an appointment to have a salesman come out and test my water and make a recommendation for purchase. I told them to get me a price for a similar system and was told that a salesman would call me back. I got another call back at the end of the following day from the salesman. He wanted to set up an appointment to test my water quality and I just asked him to provide me a price to install a similar system. He gave me an estimated range of costs that was not very useful. The only way to proceed with a replacement was to have them come out and test my water and then provide me a quote. He sent me his contact information and a link to their water softener. The link was a general information video that was really useless for me. I decided to call a different company and had a system installed--amazingly without having them take three visits to accomplish that feat. To add insult to injury, I got a call from culligan at the end of the week to request a $150 payment for the service call that I was told by the repair man there was no charge. I mentioned that to the lady that called requesting payment and she told me that information was not correct. This company went from having me as a satisfied customer to never wanting to deal with them again. They must be doing well to be this inept. I am IN CINCINNATI , NOT CALIFORNIA............... Had water purifier installed today(10/04/21) Culligan had another company come out to do it. The guy stated they didnt "DO" what I wanted done. He made a phone call, left to get "Parts",came back, did installation , showed e where 2 shutoff valves were and left. SOON (within an hour) I noticed water steady dripping from cabinet door. wasnt wet inside cabinet............ They FINALLY had the guy come back , LONG STORY SHORT.......... he HADNT TIGHTENED ONE OF THE FILTERS. The guy was kind of hateful about it............. WASNT MY FAULT!!!!!! I DONT CARE IF YOURE 8 WEEKS BEHIND..............PLEASE SEND YOUR OWN PEOPLE TO DO YOUR WORK !!!!!!!!!! I'll keep other comments to myself. read more

I was with readyrefresh Nestle and 2 bottles was around 30 dollars. We moved to Culligan and the price immediately went up 10 per bottle. I am right now shopping for better pricing. This is ridiculous and I did not ask to be moved over. read more

We've been bottled water customers with various companies for nearly 20yrs. Crystal, Ice Mountain, then Ready Refresh. When Ready Refresh sold the regional business to Culligan, we figured it was just another company. Our first taste of their "distilled" water was awful. We called about cancelling and they offered deionized water as a substitute, but in our house we need distilled for some things. They won't refund for the 9 unused water jugs. We now know they store their full water bottles outside. Plastic bottles baking in the sun, no wonder the water tasted awful. We've switched to Crystal, and now have good water again. So if you're on the fence about going with culligan, know that they'll charge you for any water they deliver, even if it's substandard crap you can't use. read more

We purchased a new water softener last January, 2020, to rid ourselves of dealing with the current one we had in the house when purchased due to being old, undersized and in need of repair. This was done for convenience as well and it has been everything opposite. There were two minor issues from the start directing me to canceling their service, however I remained patient until our first salt delivery on 5/18. As I came out of the garage entry door to meet the guy he was backing up at a pretty good clip and I had to yell at him to stop as his dolly on the left side of the truck slammed into my garage door. He came inches from hitting the whole wall and seriously damaging it. I was beyond myself at what occurred and as I approached the guy he never took any ownership of what he just did and showed no remorse, which sent me beyond reason. that almost resulted in a confrontation. The guy was arguing with me over something he did wrong. As my wife was taking pictures he told my wife his rear view camera was broken. He had two large rear view mirrors. He was not paying attention. The truck is the same one they use for the beer deliveries. Very large. I called the police for a report and his supervisor showed up after to record the incident as well. After I calmed down and prior to the police and supervisor arriving I apologized to the driver for yelling at him and provided him with some gatorade after the police left as that is the kind of person I am. Nothing. Once both parties departed no apology. How is it I was the man of the hour and they damaged my house? Hopefully some training can be done to better themselves in the future. Definitely not the Culligan service we had growing up. Dear Culligan, I am a long-time customer of both your AC-30 and Medallist 8 softener. I called about a month ago to request service on my AC-30, which has a leaky connection. I was scheduled for a Thursday morning a couple weeks later, as you are quite busy. No one showed up after waiting several hours. I called and was told that one of your repairmen had taken a day off, and rescheduled for the following Thursday morning. I said that I was only available until noon and was told that was no problem since they would make a note to get to me before then. Again, no one showed up after waiting several hours. I called at 11am and was told they would come at noon. I said that I was not available in the afternoon and was scolded on how my "morning" appointment could arrive up until 1pm (hence, I was to blame). Given this, I asked if I could have an afternoon appointment on a Friday and it was set up for the next week. On that day, I was called in the morning and told that again your repairman had taken a day off, but that they would be happy to reschedule me for the next day (Saturday) in the afternoon. On that day, no one ever showed up nor called. This is worse than the cable company! read more

This company first installed a quality water filter, but after the first time they replaced it with a used or lower quality filter. As a result, my water was black for a few days, and it now leaves sediment at the bottom of my tea kettle and the water does not taste the same. They refused to chemically test the water or to refund me money to get a replacement filter. Avoid at all costs! read more

Their advertisement says they service all brands. When I called to make the appointment I gave them the make and model number of my unit. When the service tech showed up he said they do not service my brand but offered to sell me a new Culligan unit instead. This was a bait and switch. read more

PLEASE CORRECT ME IF THIS IS NOT THE CULLIGAN ASSOCIATED WITH THE OFFICE IN FAIRFIELD AND I WILL REMOVE MY POST. Currently in the middle of a disagreement with them. We were delivered nasty, metal tasting water in January. Spoke to a gentleman in the office who explained it was probably becauae of the sanitizer they use and he offered to replace the jugs and the system as he says it could be tainted too. We decided to just cancel the service since there was a chance this could happen again. Driver picked up unused jugs and system and I thought that was the end of it. We receive a bill for the tainted water and when i call about it they say they need to look into it and get back with me. I hear nothing back. 30 days after the call, we receive another bill. When I call I'm told there is no man that works in the office that i couldve spoken to and that I only have 24 hours to submit a return request for bad product. Well that's funny...we were getting 3 jugs per month...am i supposed to taste each one within 24 hours? When I'm transferred to the office manager, she literally laughs when I tell her my issue, says it's a food product and they can't take it back, that I wouldn't buy bad meat from Kroger and be able to take it back. I explain that actually when I do buy bad meat from Meijer they take it back and make amends for it. Why is this any different? Now they must consult with the route manager because there is no record of me returning the unused water. Never had a problem the first few months with the ready refresh company until these people took over. Poor excuse for customer service. read more

I started service online with Aqua Falls 2 weeks ago and was scheduled for 1st delivery the next day. After my boyfriend waited all day and no delivery or call. Next day when I called I was told they were just bought out by Culligan and the transition was tough so I let it slide. Was then promised another delivery and same turn out...no call no show! I call again very angry and I'm talking to Culligan now and was assured this was a huge mistake and how sorry they were. Was told that it would definatly be delivered next day but once again NOTHING! I called very upset and was not able to talk with anyone but an answering service. This was 3 days ago and nobody has called me! I just called culligan back and told I would be contacted asap! I don't trust it at all! I paid for service 2 weeks ago and nobody offers a solution. This is so unprofessional and direspectful. If I'm not compensated and delivered my water and cooler I'm going to contact who even I have too to make this right including BBB. read more

Culligan is a terrible, an poorly ran company. I had my water softener unit serviced and maintained buy Culligan for over 5 years. Unit needed allot of maintenance from its mother board, to O rings (3 times) an a resin tank. Took them 3 months to replace resin tank. By then the leak affected my bass boards and carpet causing mildew. 1,000 worth of damage quoted from a restoration company. Culligan refused to take any responsibility after numerous failed returned phones calls and multiple people coming out.They do not stand behind their products and can care less about theirs customer.
