Dropped by on a Saturday near Christmas approximately 1 hour prior to closing, there was ample parking right out front and was relatively empty. I loved how large the menu was, with hot, cold, or blended options. I opted for a medium blended caramel latte. I wasn't particularly impressed with the caramel flavor, it tasted like coffee+syrup+blended ice opposed to a more seamless homogenous flavor profile. I also tried out a chocolate chip cookie, as it was 50% off because it was getting older (but not stale), and honestly I was disappointed in it. I'm not sure where it was sourced from, but I believe it came from an outside business. I was enticed by the size but was unimpressed by it. There also wasn't a seamless flavor profile, it just kinda tasted like a sweet circle with some random chocolate chips. I love the concept and mission of Cultivate Coffee, but I didn't love the coffee or cookie. I'm willing to give it another try, likely with an iced latte opposed to blended next time, but overall I was more disappointed than I wanted to be.

Always friendly and love coming here. It's truly the best place to get coffee: from that of the 2[black rock], as I would always come here: just that they aren't open on Sundays.

I like these smaller places because the staff is humble and friendly. They don't really have signature drinks but will make whatever you like and they get it right every time. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere that draws many people from the community. Great place to relax, study, work, meet neighbors and get inspired. One cool thing they do is Anyone can buy a drink coupon and leave on a community board for a random person who needs one in the future. There are also small activities for student.

I love this local spot. They have tons of coffee and tea choices, and awesome seasonal offerings. They support the local community, especially including Sunnyslope HS which is right up the road. Their fall drinks are pretty unmatched. They have a good variety of inside seating and comfortable spots for those working or catching up. The staff are always friendly. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great flavored drink and supporting a local shop.

Unfortunately, this was not a good morning experience. I showed the counter guy a photo of a coffee I wanted from the yelp page, but I didn't get anything that resembled the photo. Secondly, they had a fresh pastry and a day old pastry section. My Blueberry muffin was supposed to he fresh, but tasted old and stale. Onto the next coffee shop.

The Americano wasn't my favorite, but the peach scone was top notch! The cashier was super friendly and personable, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The place is small, but they've really maximized the space they have and it's very clean and neat. This is a fabulous place to come do some work, meet with a friend or relax for a bit. read more

I go out of my way to visit Cultivate over the chain shops because not only do they roast their own beans but they invest back into the community offering teens and young adults job/skills training in order to give them valuable job experience now and in the future. Not to mention their coffee is waaay better than some drive through place. Lavender latte is my favorite! read more

Hello, so I usually order breakfast and coffee delivery from Lifeboat Coffee but today decided to try this place out. I ordered an everything bagel and a medium coffee. What I received was a small plain bagel and a tiny cup of coffee. Coffee tastes good but dang $16 for a tiny cup of joe and a small plain bagel, neither of which was my ordered and paid items. Been here a couple of more times since my last review and i've tried a couple of more items. Everything always comes out good and the staff is always very nice. I usually go for alternative milks instead of just whole milk so it's nice to have options. This place is right by the Humane Society and i never knew! My girlfriend and i foster so we are always over there. On Monday, 4/18, I was dropping off some kittens and had seen this place previously on a search for a local coffee shop for a friend and i to go to. i decided to stop in since it was literally 3 minutes from the Humane society and i am SO glad i did. The atmosphere is welcoming and it's super cute inside. I ordered a vanilla cold brew with oat milk and PB and banana toast for my self and an iced chai for my girlfriend. it was so so good! Also the staff was LOVELY. i hate going into local coffee shops sometimes because i just feel an immense amount of judgement and there was none of that here! they were busy and still got my food and drinks out to me in less than 10 minutes. will absolutely come in next time i'm over there read more

My first visit today as I was passing by and thought to myself 'I'm going to support local!' I live in the neighborhood so I'm excited to have a new spot. Latte was awesome, full of flavor and the cinnamon toast was perfect! The best part was how EASY it is to order online. Select your items and pay with Apple Pay. Literally 2 minutes. No need to create an account, log in, add your card..I appreciate not having to go through all of that nonsense! My order was ready early and was promptly brought to my car, I didn't even have to call. That's great service! This local coffee house is wonderful & located near my old high school. My sister and I visited this location recently and we got an Iced Oat Chai Latte & two ice "Cactus Blossom" ice teas..BOTH so amazing!! You can taste the quality!! Specialties

We believe in Cultivating the best out of the products we produce, the people we employ and those we serve. We use our business to train vulnerable youth in our community with paid work experience and job/life mentoring. When you come to Cultivate you may meet one of our youth in training!

History

Established in 2017.

Cultivate is run under the umbrella non-profit of Crowd To Community, which was started in the early 2000's. The focus of the non-profit is youth development and leadership training. Cultivate Coffee became of program under the non-profit in 2017 when Chris Priebe built a coffee roaster and began selling beans online. Within a few months Cultivate was holding youth cohorts for job and life skills training as well as giving paid work experience to youth by bagging coffee and helping at special events. Today Cultivate runs youth internships where students get opportunity to work behind the bar to gain transferable skills and actual work experience to put on resumes.

WeBe Coffee Roasters is one of those finds that makes you wish you had discovered it sooner. Even more so, I wish I lived closer. The space alone is worth the trip. The team put real thought into every aspect of the experience. The counter has a beautiful waved ribbed wood design, the colors are immersive without being overwhelming, and the whole interior has a visual balance that most designers would be proud of. There are flowers around the cafe that give it a gentle, unexpected touch. I genuinely regretted not bringing a better camera. But the coffee is the real story. They source specialty beans from different parts of the world and roast in-house on a Primo roaster, which is a hand-built machine that serious roasters invest in. I had a double espresso, something I cannot live without, and it held up to the room. The seating is comfortable and well thought out. There is room for conversation and room to get work done. I ended up staying longer than I planned, which is always the sign of a good spot. They also have a merch area with coffee gear worth browsing, and bags of their roasted coffee available to take home. On the back wall there is a mural that reads, "Making good coffee, good fun." That line does a better job describing this place than anything I could write. This one feels like it belongs in Scottsdale. North Phoenix is lucky to have it.

I loved the ambiance of this coffee shop. Very clean and quiet, with amazing service. I ordered the avocado caprese bagel and a chai latte, both very good. Location is nice, a shame that BlackRock coffee is in the same parking lot. I much prefer Cultivate over BlackRock, as the food, ambiance, and coffee are better. I love how they give back to the community and train/employ marginalized people living in the community. The workers are very kind and courteous, and are very good at servicing their customers. Really industrial/farmhouse style coffee shop. Super cool decor and vibe. Had a wonderful pour over and a fantastic tea. They have gluten free options for snacks and their baked goods are made by certified local bakers. My favorite part is that they provide work opportunities and skills training to young people who need it.
