Came here for a wash and happened to meet the owner. Really nice guy. He saw that my truck was really dirty from off roading, and he offered to wash my floor mats for free. He didn't have to do that. That just shows how much he's invested in having ur car/truck cleaned. I usually have bad experiences at car washes because they are usually sloppy and don't care, but not this one. My Cadillac was driven through semi-wet asphalt on Wednesday which completed destroyed the sides of the car and underneath the rim by the tires. I drove by Friday for a quote to detail my car and to remove as much asphalt as possible. The manager Jorge was very kind and receptive to my needs. He provided me with a very reasonable quote to fix the damage on Saturday. Jorge greeted me when I arrived and he had his team start the process immediately. It took less time than anticipated and my car looks gorgeous again. They were even able to buff out some scratches caused by the asphalt. Their work was excellent and I couldn't be happier! Ive been here a couple times and it's never BUSY. They're not the most detailed They seem to do an alright job, they will go over things if you ask them to. Website lists $18.99 for the basic hand wash, but when I got there the attendant said the cost was $40. What? No thanks. I took my business elsewhere and got the hand wash plus tire dressing for $22. Even that I paid for the most expensive car wash my car didn't shine up and after a long wait for them to finish up the interior wasn't clean at all. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED HERE. I've given this place several tries but was disappointed each time. They do not clean your car well and each time I got my car washed here I've noticed new scratches on my car. Not only do they suck at washing cars, the price is ridiculous, $15.99 for a basic car wash. Customer service in the front is good, but the people that actually wipes your car down are horrible. I pointed out many places they missed, and my response was that it's stuck there. NO if they actually took time to scrub it off then there wouldn't be a problem. Not only did they give me a half ass job, the worker started walking away as if he's job was done. I am very dissatisfied with the work they do. My whole front bumper is as if they did not wash/clean it at all. I was watching the worker wipe my car down, he does not pay attention at all. I've caught him several times looking/staring at other females that are waiting for their car washed. Disgusting. I literally spent another 30minutes washing my car all over by myself. I only left one star because I had to...If I could leave five negative stars, I most certainly would do so. I had perhaps the worst carwash experience ever at this place. I work as a server for cash tips, and in my wallet was $175 from the night before's work. When I went to pay for the wash, I realized that my wallet was missing from my pocket. I knew I must have left it somewhere in the car. Luckily, my girl friend was there to spot me enough cash to pay for the wash. When I got the keys back, I frantically searched the car and finally found my wallet under the passenger seat with all in tact... Minus every last bit of cash. I went inside and confronted the manager and employees. I called the Irvine police and they all continued to deny the crime in front of the officer. The IPD could do nothing and they knew it! The Manager, Mark Kim, explained to me that he would review the security cameras and that this was a serious matter. Albeit not serious enough, because he did not offer any consolation. Mr. Kim did not deny the incident and blamed me for leaving the wallet in the car. ("Read the sign," he said) Yes, this was my honest mistake, however the employees were still dishonest and belligerent with me in regards to this matter. It is disheartening to me that each employee involved lied to my face every step of the way. Please stay away from this awful place! read more

Ever since I got my car, I have never let anyone wash my car besides myself. The one time I let a hand carwash wash my car, my clearcoat and paint get completely ruined. I could not find the time to wash and fully detail my car since I have been so busy with school, so I decided that maybe I should try getting my car detailed by a "professional" detailer. I paid for the $130 detail package. After I got the car back, the car looked very very good, but not for long. About 2 hours after I got my car back, I noticed that they missed a bunch of wax spots. They even completely forgot to buff the rear diffuser on my car. After a few days passed, I noticed that my car's shimmer began to diminish drastically. In the sunlight, I noticed my whole car turned into a gigantic swirl mark. I then noticed that they burned the paint on my spoiler from holding the buffer on there too long. The interior detail was TERRIBLE. They left streak marks on most of my windows and they did a terrible job vacuuming. For the money I paid, I really thought that they would take their time and do a good job. *****DON'T GO HERE! This is probably an okay place to take your car for a car wash if it isn't really that dirty. I used to take my car here every few months and they seemed to do a satisfactory job, but the last time I came here when my car was pretty dirty and after they washed it my car still had bird droppings on the doors and dead bugs on the front bumper. It was probably about as good as if I had just done one of those drive-thru washes which would have been about $5-6 cheaper, though at least here they do vacuum out your interior here which is nice. The guys in the auto shop part of this place are pretty helpful. My front headlight burned out and I needed a replacement bulb, and they were able to get me in and out of there in about 5 minutes. They charged me $30 to do it, which seems pretty standard for these types of places. As far as the car wash part of it goes, I usually just go back home to San Diego to get my car washed these days. I don't really intend to come back here. read more

I took in my car for a full detail and was charged $199 for it. The car was not detailed at all. The rim was still dirty and inside was not cleaned all the way. One of the managers told me he was going to call the cops when I told him I shouldn't have to pay so much money for the job they didn't finish... I went to Culver Auto Spa during my lunch break. I was in a hurry and in the area so I decided to give it a try. I will just say that it is definitely not worth the $19.99 that I paid + $5 for the tip. The outside of the car looks okay (minus a few water spots on the windshield) but they did a terrible job on the inside. Dust and crumbs are still there. I know they must have vacuumed because one of my cheap imitation gold rings is gone from the floor. I also asked them to wipe off a dried coffee spot that was on my leather seat from this morning but nope, it's still there too. I work in the Hutton Centre towers in Santa Ana and we have Excess Look Auto Detailing in our parking structure. Johnny always does such a good job and you only pay about $20 (after tip). My car always looks flawless. I seriously regret not taking my car to him like i normally do but I guess this was the friendly reminder that I needed that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Moral of the story? I won't go back to Culver Auto Spa again. read more

Had to make them clean my car twice and it was still not cleaned all the way they literally didn't even vacuum and my car was completely cleared out, nothing in it. They also left a weird orangey liquid looking stain which I pointed out and the manager frantically vacuumed the stain until it was a little less... But mind you still there..... In my new car.............. Ya so obviously I'm not happy. Hopefully this yelp review will help someone else avoid this awful place. If you love your car, stay far far away. The first time I had the car washed they did a poor job on the drying and detail. I asked to see the manager. While I was telling the manager my concerns the detail person came up to me while I'm talking to the manager and actually started to argue with me. I looked at the manager and asked him is this how you let your employees talk to a customers? He shrugged his shoulders like oh well. I'm always about giving somebody the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has a bad day and now and I gave them a second chance. Well then second time six guys were waiting for a car early Sunday morning. I was one of the first arrivals. I thought early morning might help with quality. I arrived home and inspected the vehicle and had to clean the inside of car they did a horrible job vacuuming no attention to any detail not even the windshield was clean bird droppings still smack dap in the middle of windshield. It's a shame car wash spots are more predicated on location than how good they are. This place is less than 1 mile from the condo that I live, so when I need my car washed I come here. I like that they are fast and you can get a 10 pack basic wash for $120 that can be used any time. Otherwise a basic wash is $15 bucks unless you go early bird M-Th 8-10am for $12. The wash is not the cheapest and definitely not the best. You're paying for a basic inside clean, run through of spray and soap with their machine, and a hand dried basic wipe down. Therefore, hard to take off stains will not get cleaned. The place has always been packed whenever I go. Even with that, you should get your car washed within 20 minutes time. That's what they are going for. Basic and quick maintenance washes. However, spending a few more minutes on cars that need extra attention will go a long way to Irvine residents that should tip well. Retrain or get new workers with morals and that pay attention to detail. My wife's change got stolen when she got her car washed there. It was only a few dollars but it is more the principle. I don't live in Irvine; I'm an Angelino going on 36 years. Nonetheless, I drive myself to Irvine 2 days of almost every week (about 7 out of every 8 weeks on average). And also, I almost never have enough free time to take care of my personal whatever and stuff, like paying bills on time or getting the car washed, etc...This will become important later... I'm a city boy, but Irvine seems like a nice place as far as suburbs go...a little ritzier and more affluent than the Simi Valley's of the Middle-Class world go. Which is why, when I got to Irvine 30 minutes early last Saturday on my way to pick up my son, I felt pretty good about dropping my car off at Culver Auto Spa for the first time and ordering the "Executive Wash," which came with a wax and an extra 30 minutes of waiting. I assumed that given the nature and affluence of the neighbors in their Zip Code, Culver Auto Spa - as it was so cleverly marketed - was an aboveboard, best-practices business... Obviously, I was totally fucking wrong. The trainee they ended up assigning to my car ended up washing all my windows with the same rag he used to buff my car. Thus, all my windows are still smeared with a wax residue...Funny thing about car wax on windows. In the light of day, you can't see it. But it's the only thing you can see on a temperate night as it clouds your every view. So...Would I ever return to Culver Auto Spa?...Is there a Yelp-star-rating lower than zero? I think the answer to both is pretty clear. read more

After reading the reviews for the auto spa, I was a little skeptical about taking my car here for a cleaning. But I know yelp can sometimes be really harsh on a business, so I figured that I'd give it a chance. I got a $12.99 basic wash, which included vacuuming. The interior of my car was already pretty clean, so no useful comment on their detailing. The wash was great, no water marks or brush marks, my car came out great. They even wiped down the windows inside and out. I think Culver Auto Spa is great for a routine clean, it's obviously not up to par with a professional detailing service. Tip: Take your car in between 8-10am Mon-Thurs for a $10 basic wash! read more

Not sure what's going on with these dudes. They usually do a fine job on the 15 dollar basic wash, but today the guy got super angry when I asked why he didn't even touch the interior of the car (where there were shoe prints, a dead spider, ashes-- all easy to clean with one swipe of his wet rag). I've been coming here for 14+ years, through 3 ownership changes. The service has always been consistent and good. First, I should mention that I drive mid-range cars (ex. Camry and Prius). So I'm not anal about having my car pristine the way someone with a BMW Z4 may be. If there are a few drops of water on my car or a a small scratch that wasn't there before, it's not the end of the world to me. If it does bother me, I point it out to the guy and have him redo it. He always does. Most of the ones I've dealt with are hard working and really want to make me happy, even without the extra incentive I offer (see below). Second, I usually get the low end Basic or Super washes. I've found that the cost of the higher end washes translates only to the number of tasks done on my car. It's not commensurate with the level service I actually receive. Makes sense, since none of that extra money reaches the guy actually doing the work for tips. What I usually do is get the cheapest wash, then find the guy working on my car and tell him there's an extra $5 tip if he does a good job. If I want anything special, I tell him that too. For ~$20-25 total, I get a much better wash than people paying a lot more. If he does a superb job, I tip him $10 instead of $5. That's great ROI for a result I'd have to spend a couple hours of my time to achieve at a mere fraction of my hourly consulting rate. Free time is precious to me, so easy win there. My cars go in every 2 weeks, after 110 mile/day commutes in LA traffic, and always come out looking great. The only reason my rating isn't higher is because this place can be overpriced for what you get if you aren't using my trick above. They are going to try to upsell you, and most of what they offer above Super isn't worth it in my opinion. Also should add that you should try to avoid going there during heavy load times, like afternoons on a weekend. This is a turn-and-burn operation that makes its margins on volume. They're going to rush the work on your car to try to keep up with the flow. You're the most likely to be dissatisfied if you take your car in at this time. Instead, go at 8am on a weekday if you can. They'll usually have you out in under 30 minutes, and it's $2 less for the Basic wash during their morning "Happy Hour". Regardless, treat and tip the car washers well, and they'll take care of you. Just be a person and not a douche about it. read more

Simply not worth the price. The pro's: This car wash is conveniently located. The con's: The people are not very friendly. The car is not necessarily clean after the wash. They display dismay when one asks them to re-do the job. To me it seems as if neither the owner has much love for this Auto Spa, nor do the employees care much for their place of work. Because of this, it doesn't have enough tools and resources to be the "spa" gas station that it proclaims to be... not to mention, service is terrible.
