A really spacious park that goes up in elevation. Has a large fenced off baseball field which is great for your doggos to roam and play in. I hate not being able to give this Park five stars and the reason why I can't give this part five stars is because they say that no dogs are allowed on the way up but yet there's dog poop all over the walking bridge I really like this park because when I have broken my foot in order to exercise This was a great place. They have like a switchback OK so which means you're going higher and higher, but without stairs, right... and six years ago I had a knee surgery where I needed to still exercise, but I just couldn't lift my knee like that just walking was all I could do so I've been in a few predicaments where you know I appreciate having this switchback, I just don't appreciate the dog poop. If you are going to violate the rules and bring your dog which I love animals I love dogs you gotta clean up after your animal. It's not OK to just to leave dog poop on the trail. And also, why aren't my Park Rangers enforcing this rule anyhow, if you wanna take a nice walk, that's gonna give you a little workout without doing too much strain than this is the park for you! At the end of the day, this is a very pretty park where you can actually barbecue you do need to reserve the space. I don't know how much it cost, but I know you need to reserve the space and then you can have a party there there's a skate park attached. I mean it's a nice park just please people be respectful and I guess it's not the Park's fault per se... But if there are Park Rangers, why aren't they enforcing this rule? Also, they lease out some space to this company that does these really cool teambuilding, exercises and wall climbs and stuff. It's pretty cool. I wanted to do it but it was like $100 a person and I was like ouch! All in all, there is a beautiful view when you do reach the top and I don't mean the top on the bottom I mean all the way up to the top has the picture show you can see all the way to the beach on a clear day. This is a clean, well-organized community park with seating areas to relax and picnic tables. When you're not relaxing, there's open space (and steps) for working out or for sports (including baseball), playgrounds for your kids or grandkids, and a nice dog park. If you follow the directions here, you will first pass by a large grassy area filled with picnic benches, and on this July 4th afternoon, it was filled with people. Driving up is where you meet The Bone Yard dog park, which has its own Yelp that does it justice (it is dry and it is dusty). We came here for the Playa Trail though, which is a few steps away from the dog park. This gentle version of a hike is made with a beautiful red wood that winds up to the two baseball fields, which you can drive straight to as well. The trail is easy and only takes 10-15 minutes up. Being able to be away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below is such a privilege, and the view is incredible. read more

WHAT A GEM! Frustrated from our attempt to get into the Kenneth Hahn park (parking was impossible!) we drove along Jefferson and came across an entrance to this park at the intersection of Jefferson and Duquesne. We turned in and there was plenty of parking - later we found there seem to be many lots in different parts of the park. A very nice red wooden pathway leads you to the top of the park - easy walk with gentle slope and nice views at every turn. So, instant gratification within minutes from you get off your car!! That's my kind of outing! After the picturesque pathway, you come to an old baseball field - you don't see many like this, not any more in plastic Westside. A dirt path, unpaved, takes you around to another baseball field... with city lookout spots scattered along the way. We spent about an hour wandering around. This seemingly unintentional and un-designed is a contrast to the congested order down below, and therefore, relaxing and refreshing. After the baseball fields, there is a small gate that takes you into the adjacent Baldwin Hills Scenic Lookout, another gem that offers unobstructed/expansive views of the city down below. read more

Nice to have a park that is close to work. We've had a couple team outings here -- PICNICS! Its clean, safe, there are places to park along the park's sidewalk once you turn in from the main street. Skate? There's a small skate park located here. Exercise? The park is also close to the Culver City Stairs. Hungry or thirsty? DT Culver is just a short drive away. In the mood to explore? Driving through the Hayden Tract, you'll see some interesting buildings, artwork and cool backgrounds of spots to take photos at. read more

This park is surprisingly cute with very good climbing equipment for older kids. Most parks cater to younger kids. This one has a young kid structure and sand/water play area, but it's bigger kid area really shines. The climbing gym was challenging for me, LOL. I could not resist. Big Kid Area: Rock climbing cubes, large rope climbing structure, rope monkey bars, 3 levels of chairs to climb, a rope merry go around, a plain plastic merry go around, 2 unique spinners Little Kid: Standard double slide structure, 3 bouncy seated thing, 2 baby swings Water/Sand structure in it's own circle of sand Skate park is adjacent, along with lots of picnic table and a good size grassy patch for the kids to plan on. Parking was easy on a very overcast day. This is a park worth driving 15 minutes or less to get to. We were eating lunch in the area, made a wrong turn, and ran into it. Despite the recent move to add meters to many of the parking spots at Culver City Park, it still offers the Jefferson neighborhood a natural leisure playground for the whole family. * Entrance to the Park is off Jefferson at Duquesne * Culver City Park is over 41 acres on a hill. I made a stop at Culver City Park last night. I saw the sunset from uphill. I had an awesome view of the ocean, mountains, and urban sprawl. I like how I've heard that CC Park connects to the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook by way of a trail up top. I give CC Park a 3-star Yelp review, because dog's aren't allowed to explore the entire park. It'd be awesome if people could hike and exercise here with their furry companions here. read more

I'm not the type that goes to parks, but I took my parents here when they were visiting. We were looking for an open space with an easy walk to a nice view. This park is a great place for everyone that wants to go outdoors. There's a small playground for kids, skate park, trails for walking or running, etc. There's a dog park as well, although I really did not like seeing dog poo smeared on the ground--that was gross. We came on a Saturday afternoon, and there was more than enough parking spaces along the road and in the nearest lot. read more

Came here with a wonderful lady I volunteered with. I absolutely LOVED the wooden ramp (as she called it). Great for physical therapy. I LOVED the trees and atmosphere. Enjoyed walking higher up and looking out at the city toward DLTA, Century City all the way to Marina del Rey, etc. I bet its pretty at night. There's a dog park for doggies to run and play with fellow dogs. There's baseball areas. Shaded areas. Park benches for couples to cuddle up and look out at the scenery. Areas for parking. I think the park closes at 9pm. I thought I saw a sign at one of the entrances but not really sure. You should double check it. Excellent excellent place to take a nice walk or jog! I just enjoyed my walk with my friend, the warm sun and the smell of the trees. Looked like a cool place for a lovely picnic too. I will definitely come back to get my walk-on. This was such a great park to visit on my trip to Los Angeles from the East coast. I love the doggy prints on the way to the dog park. When I went it had rained previously so a lot of mud and mulch had made its way down the hill. I highly recommend the walk to the top as there are so many great views when you get there. My only comment is when we got to the top near the field, we noticed a lot of sketchy activities going on. Oh well! I still had a great time! read more

Fabulous park we discovered after visiting the Star Eco Station! Plentiful free parking on Sundays. The play structure for the 6-12 year olds was really unique & had lots of interesting climbing options. Clean park & bathrooms were open & stocked. My grandkids spent a lot of time at the dripping water & sand play area: such a welcome & rare feature! Lots of people enjoying the adjacent skateboard park & dog park too. read more

One of the best things in Culver City is this park. The entry for cars is at Duquesne and Jefferson. It's partitioned into many areas that include baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, grassy areas, a dog park, hiking trails, lounging and picnic areas. At the very top of the hill you'll see some amazing views of the city. My co-workers and I used to go up there with our sandwiches while having lunch. There is parking along the roads as well as several lots near the fields. One thing of concern is that they have recently installed poles at the parking spaces foreboding meters at some point. It'll be really disappointing when that happens. Everyone should enjoy the free parking while it lasts! read more

(Gasp) I never been here before, therefore I was not able to enjoy the beautiful scenery this place has to offer. You must follow the road and go all the way up to enjoy the scenery from up ground. Once you go up, there are signs that will say baseball fields ( arrow pointing up) So you will follow those signs and you will have two bare all fields. One on the left and one on the right. There is enough parking as you go up and once you have reached your destination. This place is awesome to workout and get a quick jog or run in. You can also play soccer which I seen many do too. there are a few benches right near the small cliff so be careful but you will enjoy the view. There many be some mosquitos in forms of clusters which can be annoying sometimes but shouldn't be a problem if you swat them away. read more

Ive come here to play basketball before with my friends and although its not a full court (there's two baskets but they're opposite of each other) its good to come here because the courts are usually available. My main reason for coming this time was to run. To a novice runner like me this park was great for that. There's also a nice view of the city if you go to the top. There's usually people there, either a couple or someone taking a picture or just enjoying the view. They also have a dog park and a skate park but I'm not too familiar with those. I love this park. It has a great view of the Los Angeles area once you walk to the top. You can play the "oh, look that's the Santa Monica and the pier...those buildings are Westwood...there's Century City" game. It's super fun. If you start at the bottom and walk up, you'll see that there is a wooden bridge to walk up which leads to the baseball fields. As you walk, you'll also see there is a leadership obstable course set up with tight rope walking, wall climbing, zip line flying, etc. Write down the info, sign up for it and bring your friends or some with your company to participate in team building or leadership training. There is also a dog park with training class. If you explore further, you'll find some stairs that you can run up and down. There are only 3 or 4 flights of them in sets of 15, so not too many, but you can start training slowly and work your way up to doing multiple sets. If you'd like, you can watch the local little league teams practice and play games there, but if that's not your interest (because they aren't mine), you can run laps around the fields. There are also basketball courts and a good old-fashioned payground with swings! Who could ask for anything more, except for maybe some company for the walk or run :) read more

My best friend and I were in need of a catch up session and wanted somewhere to get our sweat and gab on between WeHo and Westchester. After a quick yelp Culver Park popped up-despite living on the west side I've honestly never even looked at what parks or other cool outdoor places there are to explore (letssssssss be honest....we all just flock to our go to hike spots like Santa Monica stairs, Runyon, etc). No, there are not any hike trails or challenging hills to be had here. BUT this is a deceivingly big park where you can definitely have a great time exploring! Stairs and little paths lead us higher and higher through multiple baseball fields, a little kids park, a dog park, etc. Parking was easy (anywhere on the street) as well which made the experience that much more enjoyable and easy! read more

They say parks are hard to find LA, and no one would ever expect there to be such a large park like this one right in the middle of Culver City! It is huge! You can drive straight up to the top of this hill made park, and there are multiple baseball fields along the way, and I couldn't imagine how incredibly awesome it would be to play little league on these fields! Such a great great view too from the top of this park, I highly suggest to anyone to check this place out. The fields are open to to anyone as long as the games aren't going, and there is so much space here too! One day I want to come back and check out some of the short hiking trails at this park too. I was so so glad that my phone and yelp app led me to this park when Matt J. and I were looking for somewhere to kill some time! Being at the top of this park with no one else around, overlooking the busy busy world of Los Angeles is just one of those rare moments you can't get in most areas of Los Angeles. What everyone else said in good reviews said about the park. The views are great too. But I'll keep it to the skatepark. Hey old fools like me.... It's on the way to the office so I love getting a couple runs in the kidney bowl before work. This thing is perfect even if you're "Team carve&kickturn" like me. The bowl gets crowded weekend mid morning to afternoons, but any days of the week early mornings are empty and it's where you'll find the older guys and/or surfers trying to find something to do when it's flat. This winter (which has been bad for surf), I saw about 8 guys that I see surf locally skating there around 7 or 8AM with the "Oh are you this desperate too? :( " look on our faces lol We had fun though. Beats going to some lame spin class or some thing. Also fun to hit the street course banks when it's empty. You can do carve runs there all the way around if you find the line. And late weekend afternoons, the kidney tends to be "Veteran hour". ***The street course is a nightmare anytime after 10AM on weekends though. I'd avoid it altogether unless you're core*** Wouldn't travel for hours to get here, but definitely a godsend to have in your backyard. Keep a board in the trunk in case you drive by and take a gander. read more
