The food as usual was excellent. I had the three piece Walleye dinner with cole slaw and broccoli. As you can see from the photo, the walleye fillets were huge. That accounts for the higher price.. The service was fast when you consider that they make up all the food when you order it not in the advance.. We used the drive-through so I cannot comment on the ambience. You can always plan on your food items being made fresh to order with high quality ingredients. It's hard to narrow it down to any specific item I enjoy most. Never been disappointed and you can count on friendly staff all around, as they bring your order to your table. They also make sure the dining room is kept clean. I'm a huge fan of their onion rings. If you use the drive thru they'll have you pull forward to keep the line moving and will bring the food to you. They feature frozen custard that is constantly being made and results in a rich creamy texture. read more

Very disappointed in tonight's meal. Location truly makes a difference. We normally go to Warrenville location, but tonight we decided on this location because we just left Costco. Big mistake and money wasted. Went through drive up and placed order. Order taker nice and friendly. Order came out quick and smelled good. Get home and take meal out and my cod sandwich was luck warm. Bun was soggy along with wilted lettuce and cheese. It seemed to be old. Two bites and I couldn't continue. Cheese curds were ok but could have been better. Perhaps these were old. My family member had chicken sandwich and fries. She too felt it was bad and was done. Definitely will continue to go the extra couple of miles for better results. read more

The veggie burger here is pretty good! It has a base of chickpeas, mushrooms, and peppers and was pretty filling. I thought the price was fair as well at around $6. I also got a side of pretzel bites which were super hot and fresh when I received them. The cheese was a bit stale tasting (but still paired alright with the pretzels. The staff at Culver's are always super nice! And even though the drive through lines can get super long, they're very efficient with everything and I've never had to wait more than 5 ish minutes for my food. We ordered in the drive through and our order was correct. The food cod, mushroom Swiss burger and the turtle Sunday was yummy.

I came in yesterday for a quick bite to eat and when I arrived at the register, four workers were facing away from the register having a conversation while I waited for someone to see me to take my order. Shoutout to the person that took my order because she was super nice. But when I got my food, the bottom of the bun was lukewarm, the patty wasn't done all the way, and the cheese wasn't melted at all. The cheese looked like it was slapped on after the burger was done. I go to the front and I told Danielle, the manager in charge, that the bottom of the bun was lukewarm and the cheese wasn't melted. She was confused on what I talked about when I said the bun was lukewarm and she said that if I wanted the cheese melted, I have to suggest it. What burger place doesn't melt their cheese on their burgers! So I delivered my meal back and told her I wanted a refund. Then, she asked if I wanted it done better and I said no. If you want your food done quickly and without care, alone with rude service, you have come to the right place. I work at a Culver's in Lyons and we are 100 times better than this chain. What a way to disappoint the Culvers name. That manager shouldn't even be in charge. Get new management. Especially if you can't take criticism and think that the customer is wrong. read more

The last few times we have been here (over the last 6ish months) it has been consistently disappointing. The food is good, but the service is lacking. We waited 25 minutes after paying for our ice cream in the drive thru, and when we received it, it was melted. We asked for fresh, and the guy told us we would have to pay again? Another time we were dining in, and after we had gotten our food my grandmother had still not received her coffee. We went to ask what was taking so long and got attitude. The girl brought it to our table with an attitude and said "you're welcome" and rolled her eyes. This past time the food came quickly, but we ordered a couple custard items at the same time (including a shake and kids scoop) and the ice cream never came. I went to ask at the front, and saw our custard order, along with probably about 8-10 other items, just sitting on the counter. Several employees were just standing around talking. One girl looked at me, and as I was going to ask, she turned her back and walked away with another girl. It's concerning that when it is not busy, a conversation is more important than acknowledging and attending to your customers. I finally was able to get someone to give me my order. We love Culvers but have started driving down to the Oswego location - even though its farther - to avoid this one. Hopefully this one can get back on it since its right around the corner. read more

Culver's, you had me with your latest commercial, with Craig Culver bringing guests in the kitchen and cooking for them. Seeing Mr. Culver cook, searing the Butterburger patties gave us a craving. The store was nIce and clean, it looked like the dining area was even remodeled since our last visit. At the counter the staff that took our order was friendly, courteous and very professional. The order arrived quickly and hot, a Wisconsin Swiss Melt and Sourdough Melt, both with fries. Sadly the burgers were a hot mess, both were extremely greasy and looked nothing like the masterpieces created in the commercial. Both my wife and I worked through lunch, and were starving. So, we didn't send the burgers back. It's a shame that the burgers were a disappointment, because Culver's did so many other things right. As a company, they even have fundraisers that help the community, they donate a percentage of the sales to schools and other local institutions. I've even been a "runner" delivering food on a few Culver's Nights. I'm just hoping that today's disappointment was just an apparition and look forward to giving Culver's another try in the future. read more

Seriously getting sloppy. I loved this location! The service is great, minus one or two less than enthusiastic employees. They're great with accommodating my allergies and one employee even took the book out to show me what I can and cannot have. Recently though they haven't been on their A game. My mom ordered food and they forgot the fries. My fiancé just went and they forgot fries, so he went back. Comes home to find my "tea" with lemons is a Diet Coke. I can't have that, nor did I request a coke. And who puts lemons in coke? So I paid for a drink that has to go down the drain. read more

I've had Culver's ice cream before, but today was my first time venturing over to the rest of the menu. I had a hankering for a burger and was in a bit of a rush. It's hard to find healthy fast food and while I'm not saying Culver's is the healthiest option, I was very surprised at how well they cater to dietary restrictions. I went through the drive-thru and ordered the Culver's Delux which is a midwest-raised beef patty with Wisconsin cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, pickles, sweet red onion and their signature mayo on a lightly buttered toasted bun. I'm currently on a gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free diet and was able to make this work! They have gluten free buns and I asked for no cheese and no mayo. The meal also comes with a small fry and small drink. When all said was done it cost me about $6! You pay at the drive-thru window, but then they give you a number for your car window and you pull to the side in a parking spot. Your food is then brought out to you. It didn't take very long at all at 11:45 am on a Wednesday. I was worried my order would be messed up since it was so specific, but they got it spot on! When you ask for a gluten free bun, it comes in a separate container wrapped in plastic. Then your burger patty and toppings come separate in another box. I was given a plastic knife and a ketchup packet to spread on my burger. The toppings were fresh and the flavor of the burger was really good, but it was the burger to bun ratio that wasn't great. I know it was labeled a "snack pack" on their menu, but I didn't expect such a flimsy thin burger. Add in a huge, fluffy, gluten free bun and you're eating a lot of bread and not a lot of meat. While the bun tasted okay, it crumbled and fell a apart easily. The fries are crinkle cut and really good! I'm intrigued to try other menu items knowing they are so accommodating, but I won't be ordering the snack-pack burger again. Ok I just went to this Culver's and it was the best experience at a Culver's I have ever had! It started with the drive through because the gentleman taking my order didn't just take my order and then say," is that all?" He said,"and your next order?" I have never heard someone ask for additional orders through a drive through. It makes me feel like the guy is not just trying to get me in and out but care about what I actually want. This was refreshing and I spoke to the Manager to let him know what an asset he has. Super filling food, Jean wiped down the table and she was very helpful. The food came out and looked great although it fell apart when we picked up our burgers. Fries were good, sweet tea was refreshing. Got the sour dough melt which my girlfriend said was "alright" and the Bacon double butter burger was alright. Good food for the price. read more

Pretty good double pattied cheeseburger for $3.89 here. The crispy but still juicy patty reminded me of a Schoops burger (in NW Indiana). Burgers are offered with mayo and other standard adders, buns and ingredients were fresh, and burgers were brought out to table. This location is also clean, comfortable, and spacious. I don't often think of Culver's for burgers, but for this price range, it's a good deal, and I'm a fan of this restaurant anyway. read more
