This was my second time getting food from this location. The first time was 5-6 years ago and the nonverbal child I was with couldn't tell us why she wouldn't eat the corndog she wanted. It was because it was basically still frozen. This most recent visit the meal was $40. Employees must be told to use every slice of tomato even if it's not ripe, but hard. The fries weren't cooked thoroughly. We ordered caramel cashew 2 scoop sundaes, but were given turtles. I had asked hot fudge be put on one of the Carmel cashew sundaes. They put chocolate syrup on one of the turtle sundaes and charged an extra .70. Lack of attention to detail by employees made for another very disappointing meal at this location.

I came here when I realized Chicago Fish & Chicken was closed and Culver's was just across the street. I haven't been to this location before and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The people working here were nice, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was presented very well! This was the nicest looking fast food burger I've ever gotten. It wasn't smashed and deflated to barely resemble the marketing photos. No, it looked just like the model. How do they get this perfectly sized onion ring on their burger? It was a good tasting $3.59 butter burger with lettuce, tomato and onion. It wasn't greasy and the veggies were fresh. The chicken tender was warm and perfectly crispy. Fries were good and you can add cheese sauce for $0.50. They have seating indoor and outdoor. .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2022

Very disappointing, will they ever be able to get an order right? Great food but consistant order filling errors. Tonight I ordered and was charged for a double pub burger only to receive a single. Think I am going to move this venue down on my list for future visits. Changed my rating from 4 to 3 stars.

    Lumpy burger, odd color, avoid.

I used to love this Culver's until 2020 when the pandemic hit. I would go there at least twice a week for burgers, shrimp, fish, chili cheese fries, chicken tenders. Yummm, I miss those days. However, The quality of this location continues to go down. Our burgers were weird and lumpy and an odd color today. Last time the burger was so oily it seeped through the bag. Sadly, I noticed how lumpy, disgusting and weird looking the burgers were once we were home and we had bitten into it. People check your orders before you leave the drive through, trust me. I would recommend only ordering custard from this Culver's. This is the second time in recent months our burger food was sub par. The cheese wasn't melted on the burgers either. Onion rings and fries are iffy. Shrimp used to be really good now they're ok. Tenders are more reliable if cooked properly. The management they have in place when you express concerns is very cold and unfriendly. Take your business elsewhere.

Ordered a butter burger with bacon. I ended having to remove all the bacon to eat the burger. It was old and dry. Not edible.

I liked the burger and the curly fries. They have a very large menu. The logistics of getting in and out of Schmale rd.as well as the pain points of going in for counter service rates a one-star rating for me. I did not figure in these factors into my rating. My best advice is to avoid going into the restaurant to order at the counter or to eat in the restaurant. There is no room to wait for your order to be prepared. The self serve beverage station and the order kiosks are right in the middle of where people wait for their order to be done. So it is continually "Excuse me..Excuse me..Sorry, I'm in your way." The restaurant was fully staffed and the workers were very nice. The ambiance of the eating area is poor. The booths have padding on the back but there is no padding on the seat. So you are sitting on a hard slap of formica. And of course if it is crowded, you may experience the overflow of people waiting for their counter order just hanging around your table. That is why I advise doing drive-through. I liked the food enough to try a different location. Getting and eating at a fast food place should not be this difficult.

Everyone I have met from Chicago absolutely loves this place and make sure to come here when they're back home. Their menu consists of a lot of Chicago staples such as the Chicago dog, Italian Beef, Beef & Sausage, along with burgers, chicken, salads, and their famous chocolate cake. There is certainly something on the menu for everyone. The interior is nostalgic and reminiscent of the Chicago street scene during the 20th century. There is a lot of vintage memorabilia around the eatery that definitely adds to the ambiance. Service is wonderful, very helpful, and they keep the restaurant clean. Ordering is easy, you can do it on a tablet/screen or at the kiosk. Food doesn't take too long to come out and is made to order. I had to get a Chicago dog with everything on it while I was here as that is one of the things they are most known for. My friend and I also split a large fry and onion ring. The Chicago Dog "everything style" includes mustard, relish, celery salt, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle, and sport peppers piled onto a steamed poppy seed bun. This was definitely one of the best hot dogs I've had! The snap on the hotdog itself was lovely and it had good flavor. The addition of all the Chicago Dog toppings worked so well together. This was certainly unique, but in the best way possible. Now both the fries and onion rings were out of the park. I'm a sucker for onion rings, and these were excellent. Not too heavily breaded or stringy, they were just how an onion ring should be. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly too. I will also note Portillo's isn't too expensive, especially considering the amount of food you receive. All in all, Portillo's lived up to expectations and I really enjoyed my meal here. I absolutely loved the retro interior as it was fun and captures the essence of Chicago culture. The service is great and they are very attentive. While I'm not usually a huge hot dog person, their hot dogs are an exception as tjeu high quality and stand above others. The sides are must orders as well, especially the onion rings! I will without a doubt be returning if I'm ever in the Chicago area. And next time I'll make sure to save room for their chocolate cake.

The burgers were good and cooked well, but I do think they could've used a bit more seasoning or flavor to really stand out. The fries, on the other hand, were really good--crispy and definitely the highlight of the meal. Service was efficient and the order didn't take long at all, which I appreciated. Overall, a decent spot for a quick bite, especially if you're craving classic fast food.

I thought both flavors were pretty good - Honey Thai Chili and Soy Garlic. There was extra sauce in the recess of the container for each flavor that I used a spoon to pour over the chicken which was necessary, especially for the Soy Garlic since the pieces were on the dry side otherwise. I didn't care much for the fried rice because there was too much sesame oil. The eggrolls were good and the included dipping sauce container was huge! The parmesan garlic fried corn was good too.
