I've been to Culvers many times before but today my friend and I stopped at the Culvers in Carol Stream. I happened to have a coupon that was buy one get one chicken sandwich. It was a good reason to get Culvers today! So, no problem ordering with the coupon which is a good sign. The restaurant appeared clean as did the bathroom. Our table had some crumbs and moisture on it so apparently it had been occupied before. It took awhile to get our order brought to the table. But the chicken was hot, just made! Worth the wait. This was my second time getting food from this location. The first time was 5-6 years ago and the nonverbal child I was with couldn't tell us why she wouldn't eat the corndog she wanted. It was because it was basically still frozen. This most recent visit the meal was $40. Employees must be told to use every slice of tomato even if it's not ripe, but hard. The fries weren't cooked thoroughly. We ordered caramel cashew 2 scoop sundaes, but were given turtles. I had asked hot fudge be put on one of the Carmel cashew sundaes. They put chocolate syrup on one of the turtle sundaes and charged an extra .70. Lack of attention to detail by employees made for another very disappointing meal at this location. read more

I came here when I realized Chicago Fish & Chicken was closed and Culver's was just across the street. I haven't been to this location before and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The people working here were nice, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was presented very well! This was the nicest looking fast food burger I've ever gotten. It wasn't smashed and deflated to barely resemble the marketing photos. No, it looked just like the model. How do they get this perfectly sized onion ring on their burger? It was a good tasting $3.59 butter burger with lettuce, tomato and onion. It wasn't greasy and the veggies were fresh. The chicken tender was warm and perfectly crispy. FOOD: 9/10 Butter Burger - 9/10 - The classic from Culver's is the butter burger, a delicious burger that as in the name, is cooked with butter and the bread is also some of the best with any fast food burger that you can have. Cheese Curds - 8/10 - Having had cheese curds from Wisconsin, these were a little bit off the mark compared to those, though this is not say that they were bad, just not as good once you have had the real thing. Essentially morsels of cheddar cheese breaded and deep fried, honestly it's hard to go wrong here. Concrete - 9/10 - This is probably the real reason anyone comes to Culver's. They offer multiple varieties of essentially their famous custard tossed with whatever you like, which for me most of the time ends up being Oreo. Always a hit. I used to love this Culver's until 2020 when the pandemic hit. I would go there at least twice a week for burgers, shrimp, fish, chili cheese fries, chicken tenders. Yummm, I miss those days. However, The quality of this location continues to go down. Our burgers were weird and lumpy and an odd color today. Last time the burger was so oily it seeped through the bag. Sadly, I noticed how lumpy, disgusting and weird looking the burgers were once we were home and we had bitten into it. People check your orders before you leave the drive through, trust me. I would recommend only ordering custard from this Culver's. This is the second time in recent months our burger food was sub par. The cheese wasn't melted on the burgers either. Onion rings and fries are iffy. Shrimp used to be really good now they're ok. Tenders are more reliable if cooked properly. The management they have in place when you express concerns is very cold and unfriendly. Take your business elsewhere. read more

However, I was a bit disappoint with their deluxe. It would better better if the meat was not over cook. That might be because of the cooker. We used to love Culver's, but since we live so close to it, and have gone there a bazillion times, we're getting a little tired of it. And noticing that it's incredibly expensive for fast food! But, now and then, we will crave butterburgers, chicken fingers and concrete mixers. I do have to say, we love their frozen custard, cheese curds, buffalo wings and cheddar butterburgers. So, we will venture over there now and then, but only when we're craving a concrete mixer with double peanut butter cups and double peanut butter sauce. Some of the workers seem to skimp on the toppings and not actually give us double sauce and double pb cups, but there is one girl who ALWAYS loads them up and they're delicious. If you read this, you know who you are, and you're awesome! ;) The staff is always friendly and helpful. One time only, they forgot something I ordered, and when I got home with my food I called to tell them it was missing. I went back to get it, and order an extra meal for my son, and not only did they give me a fresh sandwich, they gave me the extra meal I ordered for free. Very disappointed in Culver's recently. Culver's has always been one of my favorite places to get something to eat after a long day at work. However today my boyfriend ordered him and I food and we did not get what we ordered. He had ordered a Culver's deluxe, no lettuce no tomato. Instead we got a Culver's deluxe with cheese, lots of lettuce and pickles only. No onions no Mayo, nothing else that was supposed to be on it. The other thing ordered was a double bacon cheese burger cheese and bacon only. Instead he received a burger with cheese lettuce Mayo pickle and no bacon. How hard could it be to make a burger correctly when your customers are asking you for less items to be put on it . You can't go wrong coming to this Culver's. The food is consistently good, the staff is remarkably attentive and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. While it may not be a five-star restaurant, It certainly is a five-star fast food location. Not only is the decor Nice, it's always clean and well organized in there. They even have fresh flowers in the restrooms to add a personal touch. Not only is the staff extremely friendly and enjoyable, the management (including the owner) is very hands-on and insurers A high level of quality. We dined at Culver's here in Carol Stream, IL and we did the survey while we're dining inside the restaurant. We had two different receipts with the same code for the free dish of custard, but Ted wouldn't take it. I explained to him nicely that each phone is only allowed to do the survey once ever so often, but he said he can't do anything about it. Instead of getting an apology for this concern we addressed via survey, a co-owner by the name of Steve came out to our table, and told us in authoritative manner "This is your phone call, and I want to let you know that we're following corporate guidelines." And then he left. He didn't even care to ask about our meal or anything else. This is the worst customer service we ever had, and to know this is coming from an actual owner. We have been to many Culver's locations (including Wisconsin & Arizona) and we've been loyal to this particular franchise for a long time. We had purchased $200 worth of gift cards each and every year, and we don't even care to support Culver's going forward. We're taking our business else where. read more

This place is famous for their butter burgers, yuch! Their custard is good (why there's 2 stars), but I can feel my arteries clogging and my cholesterol rising just driving by this place. This is a fast food place that brings the food to your table. Only Pepsi products, so no Diet Coke. Everything is butterized or fried, but doesn't have much flavor. The salads are generous and tasty. What I don't understand is why so many seniors go here. Maybe they don't care anymore about what they eat or they figure the Lipitor will offset the spike in their cholesterol after eating here. I go here at least once a month post church. It gives you that sit down feel but doesn't require you to stay as long as a normal sit down restaurant which is nice. I usually get the burgers. Love the veggies they use, taste really fresh. I switch it up sometimes and get the chicken fingers which are pretty good too. Only complaint is that it's a little pricey. For 3 people we usually end up spending over 20 bucks which you wouldn't expect from a fast food type joint. Great staff though, friendly from the moment you walk in to when you leave. After each meal I can feel my arteries getting a little smaller. I don't like how you have to request cheese. It should be standard. The service is usually good. The best thing about this place is that it's great for when you want to reward yourself for a job well done with a good burger OR when you've done something wrong and want to punish yourself. Pretty much it's always a good time for Culvers. Seriiously though, this place has great burgers, shakes, cheese curds and desserts. What this place doesn't have is a menu that will win you any weight loss competitions at work. If your workplace has a contest for gaining the most weight, then this might be your window to success. Once one of our go tos, not anymore. We went into the dining room, myself (handicapped with walker no free hands) daughter in law and 16 month old, back pack etc. There are no utensils, no knife or fork. Ketchup and mustard in self serve spouts but no mayonnaise, if you didn't order it on your chicken sandwich you are sorry out of luck, not even a packet. We needed a high chair, no offer whatsoever for assistance even though the staff could see we were struggling. As we sat in the dining room we observed an employee working on cleaning tables, with just a latex glove, no cleaning supplies, just her hand in a glove. This same employee told us to put the high chair back when we were done. I asked, doesn't it need to be cleaned and wiped down first, she said "no, not really". Yuck and just gross, bring your own wipes. Who knows what happens with the trays. We placed an order to take home and it was wrong, fries when cheese curds were ordered and the order taker huffed and was rude, so bothered. Glad we checked it first. Very disappointed. read more
