Food is pretty consistently very good. Love the burgers, chicken, cheese curds, custard. Fries aren't the best in terms of fast food options, but are good enough as long as they are served hot. Only a few times I've gotten fries that weren't freshly made. In the dozens of times I've been here, I'd say I'm satisfied much of the time. Employees are always friendly here. The rootbeer is a company flavor, and the dirt rootbeer is probably the best you will ever have. Decided to try it out and unfortunately I was not super impressed. Got the flavor of the day which was cookies and cream, I LOOOOVE Oreos and ice cream. Well just so you know, the mini truly is mini. The custard was not very smooth and not well mixed. The drive through guy asked me if I wanted a receipt and I said yes please. He then handed me my dessert, which was the only thing I ordered and also handed me a food pick up number and told me to pull forward and they would bring me my order... to which I motioned that I had my cup of ice cream and he he laugh at himself and apologized and said to have a good night. I drove by this establishment recently and had to google it. Butter pecan custard of the day. I went the next day for brunch! Line of 12 people ahead of me with 3 registers going. One of the employee's lined up behind me, she said she forgot her lunch. Even she lined up and couldn't place an order ahead of customers! Service was great (cashier asst manager explained how concrete, shakes and custard works & an employee serviced my food tray right after I finished eating). This had to be the juiciest single stack burger I ever had(tasted the patty on it's own). The sear on it was amazing and tasted great and not overly salted, same goes for the fries. The best butter pecan custard which tasted way better than any creamery I had. It's not too sweet and pecans were nice sized chunks. What did I do before Culver's? I trail ran at Sunset Volcano Park and had breakfast out there, Veggie snacks and cream cheese dip & eggs. I wasn't overly hungry when I got to Culver's but the food is tasty, I can't wait to try the other items, fish and chips, spicy tenders, more custard! + Wisconsin cheese curds! Culver's is a Midwest staple. I was stoked to find them starting popping up in Phoenix after moving there, then headed north. When we had our Culver's craving we had to drive to Prescott and make a day of it. Now, we have one right here in Flagstaff! Amazing burgers, cheese curds, and the custard is insane. If you're craving a burger, this is your spot! Might I make a suggestion, double mushroom and Swiss butter burger with curds. Hard to beat. We were greeted warmly and told to take our time to explore the menu items. The menu was filled with good selections. The young lady who helped us, had a wonderful smile and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly! We both ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich and fries and a drink. I was particularly happy to see diet root beer. It was after 7pm, we had been driving all day, and although we only order diet soda, rarely is there a diet option with the unwanted caffeine at that hour. We had a short wait for our food and it arrived hot. The Crispy Chicken sandwich was the best my husband and I have had. The fries were hot, crispy and salted perfectly. Went in for lunch and it was packed. We did find a place to sit and it did take a while for our food but, it was worth the wait. We did have an incident with our chicken getting overcooked but, the manager and the server were wonderful. The server continued to come by and check on us and she even offered us a scoop of their frozen custard for making us wait for our order. I was avoiding this place because I'm not a fan of frozen custard. My mistake! But not for the custard, I still don't like it. BUT, the crispy chicken sandwich, onion rings and mushroom burger and even the fries were pretty good. The buns are grilled with butter so they were crunchy and soft. The onion rings were smooth on the outside, crunchy and had a nice chunk of onion. The krinkle fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Culver's brand root beer is meh, nothing to write home about, but soda is soda. I'm not saying any of this food is nutritious, but it was delicious! I'd go back for more junk food. (But not frozen custard. Something that looks like ice cream should not be dry, it should be wet and milky in my opinion. But there are people who like it, so they can do what they want.) I don't understand what the hype is about. Maybe because I never had their sweets? The cheese curds taste like pre-frozen orange dyed mozzarella balls. Burger is tasteless with smashed meat with burnt ends. Fries, cheese curds...everything is frozen. The burger meat has no flavor. I tried the greasy fish and burgers. Not worth having to wait with every other vehicle parked around the corner because their "1/8 inch burger meat is being made fresh". You can't get their smashed patty at the window because it's "made fresh". How about don't smash the hell out of it and add more seasoning. read more
