Average. It was the closest walking distance restaurant from the hotel. Traveling through town. Stopped here instead of eating the hotels free breakfast. It was nice. Wish they made some kind of salsa to go with their breakfast burrito, like a green, red or habanero sauce. They just had Tabasco. Their biscuits looked like bread rolls! Nothing flaky or buttery . Hmm . I'll try other flagstaff cafes next time!

We stopped for breakfast. The food was fairly bland (they have season salt in the shakers at the table). There was literally no salt or pepper used in the eggs or hash browns. My toast was bread with very minor toasting. The biscuits were large but the gravy was bland. The portions are very large (too large). Service was fine. I wouldn't say there's much in the way of ambiance. It's a diner type restaurant.

When we stopped in to Mike and Ronda's The Place was full of locals enjoying hearty homestyle meals with their family and friends. WOW! Our meals were plentiful! We ordered a gigantic breakfast burro with hash browns and chicken fried steak with eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy. We don't always get great chicken fired steak so it was nice to have it done so well! It was still crispy under the gravy as it should be. We needed to take the leftovers to go and got some extra gravy on the side too. Their meals warmed our bodies and souls on a chilly morning. There's lots of parking out front. Maybe we beat the rush or maybe we just lucked out. Service was great, friendly and fast! Go check them out whenever you're in the area! They have another location in west Flagstaff area too which I'm sure is just as great as their east side location. We'll be back for more the next time we're out here!

Have not been to The Place in about 4 years. Always stop by for breakfast when traveling through Flagstaff. Today I had the Breakfast Burrito for a late lunch. The Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich did not quite sound that appetizing. Breakfast burrito had 3 eggs and you choose the meat, veggies and cheese. My selection was bacon, spinich, green chili and pepper jack cheese. Burrito had a large portion of hash brown. Had this for two meals. The Place is old and also an old school restaurant / cafe. Looks the same as it did 15 years ago. Food and service was very good. They have two locations in Flagstaff and one in Glendale, AZ. Still a great place for breakfast or brunch.

Stack of pancakes (3) w/ blueberries and whipped cream

Awesome spot off Route 66. Classic diner vibes and best of all: huge portions at low prices. Went for a post-run breakfast and got the stack of 3 big thick pancakes for only $9! Got blueberries and whipped cream for only $2 extra. Can't find a deal like that anywhere else in town. My friend also got the stack with strawberries, but could barely finish half of it and had to take the rest home. I'd recommend only getting 1 or 2 unless you're really hungry. I've got a big stomach (and was pretty hungry), so I finished it all and was very satisfied.

Fabulous friendly service and good food. The brisket loaded potato was enough for two. The club sandwich was perfect.

Besides the retro vibe there are plenty of outer space items (thus the Galaxy name) and since it is a short drive from Lowell Observatory where Pluto was discovered and near the meteor crater where astronauts trained for their trip to the moon, the connection is awesome. We were seated right away and the wait staff was on a roll, serving the very busy crowd on a Saturday afternoon. I am always impressed that this place has OVER 100 flavors of milkshakes and malts. I had the open face turkey sandwich with gravy, mashed potatoes, and veg--I had them the hold the cranberry sauce since I am not a fan of that sauce. My friend had a huge plate of onion rings. The only down side was that the turkey breast was not the chunk of turkey I was expecting, just a few thin slices of deli turkey breast (like you would have in a sandwich) and the gravy was too salty. The parking is in the back of the restaurant. Fyi--the pavement between the car park and the front door is broken and uneven and was a challenge for my friend and her walker, so the mobility impaired may find it difficult to navigate.

They're were only 3 other tables besides us & yet the service slow. The you g lady waiting on us seemed quiet or tired or like she didn't want to be there. She didn't mention when she seated us that the waffle maker was broken or that certain items weren't available...until we tried to order them. When we got our food, literally all of it was cold. I ordered oatmeal which came as a large bowl w/ plastic to go containers of nuts, raisins, & brown sugar & a small container of milk. It tastes fine, but it was very off-putting to eat cold/almost hard oatmeal. My friend got 3 eggs, toast, & spuds which were like thinly sliced potatoes. He, also, said his food was cold & felt that (unlike my huge portion of cold oatmeal) the portion was small. I didn't bother taking pics. I didn't bother trying to send things back or speak to anyone in charge because it was such slow service to begin with. This place is cute inside. It has potential, but the food & service were a miss. Skip it.

We were craving Mexican food and found this gem on Yelp! It had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we ate here! I had the chilaquiles with red sauce and chicken. The food was amazing! They give you a lot, which I couldn't finish, but I totally took the rest home and ate it! The red sauce had great flavor and not spicy at all. The chicken was seasoned well. My mom had the chimichanga with green chili and she loved it! She said the meat was not dry and the green chili was delicious. Our fave were the chips and salsa! We loved the salsa so much, we bought a pint to take with us on our trip. As for the restaurant, the atmosphere was very upbeat, colorful, and full of culture. The inside is a little small, but when we went about 11am on a Thursday, it wasn't busy at all. Although, I did hear this place gets packed. Parking appeared very limited as this place is located in a small plaza area. Despite this, this restaurant is totally worth a try! My mom and I plan on coming back when we visit again!

Insanely delicious and what a great portion size. We were a bit surprised to learn chips and salsa are an extra charge which is not like most Mexican restaurants. We ordered them anyway and they were fantastic. The chips are light and crispy ( I don't like thick chips) and the 2 salsas were divine. I especially like the red and could have bought a gallon of it. We thought our server was attentive and friendly and the food and drinks came out pretty quick. They have some very cool Day of the Dead style artwork on the walls which was fun to look at.

From the outside, it has that classic older diner look. Inside, it keeps that same charm with rustic decorations, historical pieces, and a country café feel. Country music playing in the background added to the atmosphere. We were seated quickly in the front area with a nice view out the window. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, but as we sat there, more people started coming in, so it's definitely a place that gets a steady flow of customers. The menu has that simple country breakfast feel. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of turkey, and my auntie ordered the Polish sausage with eggs, hash browns, and a small serving of biscuits and gravy. The portions were decent -- a little more than what we're normally used to, but not overly large. My two biscuits looked like they might be a little hard at first, but once I opened them up, they were cooked all the way through and better than expected. The gravy, however, wasn't quite what I prefer. It was more on the soupy side, and the flavor was a little bland, so I added some salt and pepper. Overall, it wasn't a bad breakfast, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. The food was okay, but for over $40 for two people, I felt the price was a little high for the experience. The hot chocolate was probably the highlight -- that was really good. Mike and Rhonda's has a classic diner atmosphere and a lot of character. It just wasn't quite our taste, but I'm glad we stopped in and tried it for ourselves.

I definitely wouldn't order the chicken again. The hubs had the Santa Maria tri tip. The meat was tough. Quite a few pieces too tough to even chew. Luckily, my meal was huge so he had that to fill up on. I saw the 32 oz cocktails and the former party girl in me immediately kicked in. I think my husband saw the look in my eyes.
