When we were eating our lunch I was thinking you would either love this place or hate it. Then after we finished I started reading the reviews and other Yelpers tended to give it one star or five stars and I can see that. The food was "OK", I think it is because it does not have an in-house made taste. I had one of their breakfast items and the scrambled eggs had an "out of a carton" quality. The sausage was better than store bought, the gravy didn't have a lot of flavor and my only choice for potatoes were hash browns mixed in a cheese sauce. Now I could see where a cheesy potato mixture might be your favorite thing in the whole world but it wasn't really my thing. My wife had the chicken fried steak and she said it was "ok". Her carrots were cooked way too long and mushy. But again, I could see where that might be your favorite. The biscuits were very good. The French fries were very good. Everyone working there was genuinely nice and friendly. The restaurant is decorated with a home style, old time country store feel. The thing that took my review from three stars to four is the fact that they allow one night RV parking in the back. Please call ahead to get permission and don't wreck it for everyone by deciding to change your oil in their parking lot! I would absolutely give them five stars if the food was just a little better but my hats off the the management for allowing RVers a free place to spend a night. We will be visiting Cracker Barrel again and I may upgrade my review as I try different things on the menu. Stopped at Cracker Barrel in Flagstaff on a cold, snowy day and it was exactly what we needed. Rebekah was fantastic--super attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly even with how busy it was. You can tell she genuinely cares about her tables, and that kind of service really stands out. The food was simple, comforting, and done right. There's a reason there's a three-star rating. cracker barrel has changed nothing in their menu than making their biscuits bigger. I ordered Sunday Chicken Meal with all the fixings. It was vile. No redemption no excuse. Cracker Barrel Does not care. After only one bite into a chicken wing, I returned the entire meal. The green Beans are the same canned beans as before, the dumplings, flour and water, were ok. $30.00 and I'm going somewhere else for dinner. Never again Cracker Barrel. I try to make a visit to Cracker Barrel on every road trip [though I will never go back to the Salt Lake City location]. This restaurant chain has consistently excellent comfort food and typically an environment that exudes Southern hospitality. I knew I would find some good food, even though I must adhere to a mostly gluten-free diet and am pescatarian. Furthermore, the beer was at happy hour prices, so I had a Budweiser with my meal! I will say that it felt as if it took quite some time to receive a refill on my coffee and the food, but overall, this visit prompted me to find the closest one to me in California! Cracker barrel is an old family favorite of mine. Can't travel somewhere with a Cracker barrel without having breakfast there. Food is consistent, I can count on a tasty and filling meal. This was no exception. As I've aged i no longer want the massive breakfast options. Give me some eggs, bacon, hashbrown casserole, and biscuits and gravy and I'm happy. Walk to the host podium and put your name in. This time I was seated immediately. My server came and took my order, returning quickly with my drink. The food followed a few minutes later. When the best things about the meal had nothing to do with the food, it's never a good sign. I had a blast wandering around the gift shop side, which is always fun. We don't have CB in Alaska, so we went with memories of how it was the last time we ate at one--which was a loooong time ago. Kyler was a fabulous server! No complaints there, he took great care of us despite having a ton of tables with very large parties at a few of them. The food was just sad. Not a ton of flavor. The gravy wasn't that good. The okra was bland. Did something change with the hashbrown casserole?? What it felt like was they revamped the ingredients and the menu to make it healthier somehow. Super long wait to get served. The only safe thing to order is over easy eggs and toast. Found out The biscuits are reheated from frozen just like the meatloaf. Quality is not homemade anything. The blueberry pancakes looked like they were run over then caught on the back of someone's shoe while they dragged them thru the restaurant. The pancakes chopped up then smushed together. Had to wait forever while we sent them back to remake the order. This location is really run down. The bathroom smelled terrible and was disgusting and full of tissue dragged all around. WOW FACTOR? Yes. My breakfast partner only wanted a pancake and I was able to add this to my old timers as a side for just $3 extra. ( yes, I know we did this in April, but it still works). HAVE AGAIN: old timers breakfast is always my favorite. All really good. I use a napkin to soak off some of the grease on the bacon. First time here in August 2025 and I normally don't eat bread from the bread basket. I normally wait for the meal, but I was hungry and the bread was nice and warm. OMG!! It was the best I have ever have!! I ate 2 rolls and even sked for more to bring home with me. I didn't use any of the butter. Wasn't necessary. Warm, light, fluffy and so much flavor! Yum! We ordered an appetizer plate and our entree. Service was impeccable and our server made sure that we were well taken care of. One of our entrees were out for the night, but that's okay. The porions were big enough that we share an entree and the appetizer and it was more than enough. Flew home and so happy to find out that we have one in CA also. I can't believe they could destroy the Cracker Barrel brand this quickly. The menu is very limited now and no more hamburger steak available. Don't even ask for crisp potato casserole you are told it's already premade. This particular site served a terrible breakfast. The sausage looks and tastes like pure trash. All the food was obviously cooked on a filthy grill, as the burnt remnants were on everything and particularly gross on the French toast. The service was way below standards for many reasons. I used to love Cracker Barrel. This was my last visit. They changed too much and ruined the menu AND the game board. This particular store has issues of a dirty griddle and mediocre wait staff. After a long day at the Grand Canyon, I brought friends to Cracker Barrel. They were excited to be here as they had heard good things. Well, this was not the experience I had wanted them to have. In case you were wondering if Cracker Barrel in Arizona is the same as Cracker Barrel in North Carolina, I can tell you that it is just as charming, with the same comfort food, perfect for the chilly weather in Flagstaff right now. Cracker Barrel biscuits and apple butter is one of my favorite memories from when we first moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. Tonight, the girls, and I ordered: - HOMESTYLE GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD - Smoky Southern grilled chicken breast over fresh greens garnished with boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and Colby cheese. Served with crackers. Balsamic Herb Vinaigrette. - Breaded Fried Okra - Coleslaw - COUNTRY FRIED STEAK - A classic country fried steak, breaded and fried, topped with rich sawmill gravy Three Country Sides - Hash brown Casserole, Mac n' Cheese, Coleslaw - Early Dinner Deal CHICKEN n' DUMPLINS - Tender chicken n' dumplins, slow-simmered to perfection. The country store had all of the fun, old-fashioned candies, and all of the Christmas decorations out for the holidays. There are a few ASU items. I was looking forward to buying some NAU items since we were in Flagstaff, but they did not have any. I remember in North Carolina, they always had a large supply of NCState and UNC merchandise in their country stores at the entrance to the restaurant. There is a large clean men's and women's restroom available for customers. To pay your bill, you take it to the registers in the country store. As you exit the restaurant, you'll see a variety of wooden rocking chairs out front for guests to sit in and also for sale, just like the original Cracker Barrel's. read more

We showed up about 15 minutes before closing time and the hostess was so nice to seat us even though we knew they were all ready to go home. They took our orders right away and the food was just like all other Cracker Barrel restaurants I've been to. If you've ever been to Cracker Barrel, you know they will give you biscuits or corn bread (or a mixture of both) and then you've got a selection of breakfast items, main courses and sides. The cuisine is as one would expect: it is Comfort Food. Yes, it's not the healthiest but it tastes great and when you're done, your belly will thank you. I ended up getting the 4 sides as a meal which is one of my favorites. The fried okra and the hashbrown casserole are so good, and you have to balance it out with some veggies too. Their fried chicken and waffles is excellent and so are all their big breakfast options. ----TL;DR---- PROS: they were so nice to seat us even though it was about 10-15 minutes before closing time. Service was super friendly as well and the food came out fairly quickly. They are generous with the biscuits and cornbread too. CONS: don't think you're going to be having a low calorie meal here, but it is comfort food so enjoy it and don't worry about the calories if you want some fried chicken or bacon with your breakfast. BOTTOM LINE: we were glad we came in and thankful that the servers were willing to seat us just before closing time (all with a smile on their faces). This is an "old faithful" restaurant (and i forgot to mention the shop in the front is also a lot of fun if you're waiting for a table). My dad loves this place, it starts out as a souvenir shop filled with a ton of things. The restaurant is nice and quiet with friendly staff. Morgan was our server and she was very nice, even laughed at my dad's weird "Dad jokes" lol. The food is country style, with things like Chicken Fried steaks and stuff served in cast iron skillets. We both opted for the seasonal Campfire Beef meals that come served in a big foil cover. The beef was tender and juicy, the veggies and potato were just right, needs a touch more seasoning but it did the job. We also ordered some Onion Petals which came with two sauces, one was ranch and the other I can't tell, but it tasted amazing!! Overall great spot to take your parents honestly. read more

For me, my family's been coming to a Cracker Barrel since I was young. And in my older age now, I feel like Cracker Barrel is a coin flip. It's either good or bad or 50:50 service excellent / food bad or reverse Tonight's case : I feel like they had a new server on the floor and they slammed her. We got there about 7:45pm and it looked like two servers were off and then 2 servers closing including ours Jessica. She was very polite and kind but she was way behind. Because of either getting slammed or kitchen was behind. Also almost every table or at least the 3 I could hear apologies from, ordered something that she was told after the fact atleast from a customer stand point, I don't know if the manager let all the staff know what was 86'd or it was just dumb luck timing. If you are running low every server is using a tablet, I'm sure the tablet can be updated to cross out items that are out ahead of time so when the server goes to ring them in she can apologize instantly instead of 10 minutes after everyone's orders been placed. She did her best, but might need a follow or staff help. Ordered DoorDash and after almost 40 minutes they gave the driver the wrong order. DoorDash driver was great but restaurant totally dropped the ball. He takes the wrong food back to the restaurant and they tell him that they don't have either of the two items that we ordered. They totally screw up and cannot step up and make it right. I will be reporting them to corporate tomorrow. This was 15 minutes before they were going to close. I had our ticket on somebody else's food, which means somebody else got our food for two instead of the one meal that was delivered to us. I politely asked to be moved or for the fire to be turned off, but my request was refused. The problem is that there was a group of druggies living in their cars, vans, old RV's and were aggressive with attitude in a challenging way. One guy thought we were looking at him and got weird. We left after one guy in an RV parked right next to us really close when there were many spots to park in. He asked us "too close"? We left and went to the KOA up the street. The food was good. My pot roast and mashed potatoes were not hot enough. Very tasty tho. Service was good. The bathroom was gross. Only one stall had toilet paper. I told them about it. Awful customer service and attitude of the hostess. They gave us 35-40 min coz we have a party of 6. Sure that's fine but 50min arrive and we are bot yet seated but folks that came after us got seated first. So I told them we can be split into two tables. They're like there's no way for us to be put there when they just placed newer people. We told them many times we can be split and even in different room. They acted stupid and cant do anything. CB has changed a lot since Covid and Biden's hyperinflation - prices up portions and quality way down.
