When you get to Culver's, it is a little bit feeling like you stepped back in time. Everything is brilliant white and blue. There are booths along the wall and tables in the center of the room. The beautiful floor to ceiling decorative window makes the room so bright most of the year due to sun or snow. The burgers are thinner than you are used to but the double burger is more than you are used to! And the flavor is delicious. The frozen custard, just means that they have egg in their ice cream. They always start with a vanilla base and add any flavors from there Each shop will have a calendar with the flavor of the day listed. One of the best things about Culver's is that, even though they have all the traditional fast foods (burgers, onion rings,etc.) they also have better, There is pot roast and fish, and more. It does take a few minutes longer to get your food than it does anywhere else. That is because everything is made for you. Very few things go in a microwave! Culver's makes you feel good, not bloated and heavy. The people make you feel like they are your next door neighbor. The burger was VERY thin and dry without much flavor. The small sea salt caramel sundae with pecans was not great at all. Very small portion for the price, the caramel couldn't have been more than a tablespoon of caramel, and probably more like a teaspoon of it and only on one side of dish. I felt like it might as well have been just a single scoop of vanilla custard (soft serve). The nuts usually go on top but were mixed in as if it were a concrete mixer, lol! This is definitely not a criticism of the Hastings location but the Berry Happy Birthday Concrete is NOT worth the price. I had no berries in mine. Maybe some kind of dried blueberries that tasted like a rice krispie dyed blue. It also arrived very runny without a straw but I totally attribute that to the warm weather we were experiencing today. I'm not sure the burger can be called a burger. Had a butter burger with lettuce and tomato. It was the thinnest burger I have ever seen. It was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich. Terrible. Culvers has definitely gone downhill. Not every guest leaves happy. read more

I did some shopping this evening, so I stopped at Culvers to bring home a burger and fries. They have made their hamburger patties so then now that you can see through them. Plus they must still cook them the same amount of time, as when they were thicker burgers, because they were burned. I guess we won't be going there anymore for a good ole juicy burger.
