Hello my Yelp friends. First we went here today as a party of four. The waitress was pretty good, friendly and very prompt. Drinks came out fast. Cheese curds were really good and prompt. We proceeded to order our food and that's where the trouble began. We ordered two pepper jack bacon turkey sandwiches, a chicken sandwich and a burger. After a while the waitress came out and told us that the chicken sandwich and burger were ready but the kitchen just told her no turkey. Okay fine we ordered two other things and she brought out fries while we wait. The remaining food came out eventually. Food was good not great. Time for the bill. I ordered a 22oz Round Man American Lager. Listed on the menu and the website as $9.00. The bill came and they charge me for a 12 oz plus two size upgrades. The total cost? $13 dollars. I asked her about it and she said that because I got two upgrades. Consulted the menu again and saw that the cost for 22 oz was $9.00 to which she said the menu was wrong. Consulted the website since as we all know sometimes the printed menu can be wrong. Guess what it also states that a 22 oz cost $9.00. So after a bit of back and forth she finally agreed that the beer should be $9.00. The bill was corrected. 22Jun update: the manager Pete reached out and assured me that the menu has been updated to reflect the correct pricing. I was able to verify this on the online version. While my initial experience was not the best, him reaching out and fixing my primary concern was ethical and respectable. I enjoyed my dinner at Milwaukee Burger Company. We headed to dinner early because we knew things get busy on a Saturday night. I had checked the waitlist on Yelp when we left for the restaurant so we were good to go. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was clean, but for some reason I'm always a little chilly when I'm there. The menu has changed a little but I still like that you can customize your own burger. We both got burgers from the menu. They were liked high with topping and very tasty. I got the pickle burger it was good. My only aside is that the deep fried pickle chips on the burger were cold. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be but I would have preferred them hot. The other burgers we have enjoyed from here are all delicious! The beer battered fries are the best! We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to check out Milwaukee Burger Company--and we're so glad we did! Our group of 10 was seated surprisingly quickly, even without a reservation. Right away, the free popcorn machine in the waiting area was a hit. The popcorn was delicious, and they even had different seasonings to add your own twist. I also appreciated that their kids' menu is for ages 13 and under--not just the little ones--which worked perfectly for our crew. I ordered the jalapeño burger and it was really good. The hand cut fries were awesome. My son had the bacon burger and gave it two thumbs up. I decided to try a drink flight with two beers and two ciders, and the peach mango cider ended up being my favorite--refreshing and sweet, perfect after a day at the fields. Our server was fantastic--super patient, friendly, and attentive to our large group. He even noticed the kids had water bottles and offered to fill them with ice water before we headed to the next game. That kind of thoughtful service really stood out. We stopped at Milwaukee Burger Company while in Hudson and had a mixed experience. The burger I ordered had good flavor, but it ended up being pretty dry even with sauce on it. It was also hard to eat as a burger -- the tostada layer made it difficult to get a proper bite, so I ended up eating most of it with a fork. My partner ordered the cheese curd burger, but the curds were huge and he ended up removing them to make it manageable. On the positive side, the beer-battered fries were excellent -- crispy, flavorful, and probably the highlight of the meal for me. The cheese curds themselves were also pretty good (as you'd hope being just across the Wisconsin border). Service was good no problem waiter was nice. The atmosphere felt like a typical sports-bar setup, with lots of TVs and a focus on burgers, wings, and drinks -- a good spot for watching a game or grabbing casual food with friends. For us, it worked fine as a place to stop and eat, but it's not somewhere I'd necessarily make a special trip across the border to visit again. read more

I have to say, it was a great run. However, my third visit didn't go as well as I had hoped. When we first arrived, I was excited to order a turkey burger, but after checking the menu, I realized it was no longer listed. Unsure if it was still available, we looked for an alternative. Our server, Jackson, was great--attentive and helpful. When we asked about the turkey burger, he informed us that they didn't have it that night but seemed confident it would return. However, since it's no longer on the menu, I have my doubts. We ended up ordering the ahi tuna bites, cheese curds, and the MBC Chicken for both my wife and me. Unfortunately, the sandwich didn't match the photo, it wasn't breaded as shown, and it lacked flavor. The only things we truly enjoyed were the cheese curds and fries. Given that most of our meal was disappointing, it would have been nice if they had at least offered a discount, but no such luck. That, combined with the possible removal of the turkey burger, makes me reconsider returning. The food was great, I love the square cheese curds and the pretzel bites with cheese sauce were delicious. Some of the best pretzel bites I have ever had and the onion rings were top 5 best I have had. The Bloody Mary had lots of food with it and was very tasty. Another fun addition to the Hudson area! Note that it is up on the hill on Carmichael, not down by the river. Parking lot always seems full, but don't let that deter you, there's lots of seating inside. Lots of beer and burger options, which I would expect from a WI burger place. Actually didn't try burgers here (don't worry, I will at some point). Got super excited when seeing hot honey cauliflower on the appetizer menu. Delicious, crispy, and a petfect amount of zing. Split tacos with the hubs and they were messy, but good. Most items seemed large enough to split, if you don't want a huge portion for yourself. Local beer options which is is so nice. read more

Do not recommend if you are gluten free bc of celiac or wheat allergy. They tell you fries are safe until you ask if they are made in a dedicated fryer. Nope. They toast their buns in the same grill they make their burger patties. And mt daughter and I had 2 different color buns they told us was just bc there from different packages of gfree buns. All the alarm bells were there but we were hungry and beer truly hoping they'd don't as we asked and made our burgers in clean pans and not on the contaminated grill. That didn't Hailey either. And to top it all off, 2 burgers with a side of fruit and one with a side of point fried cheese curds was $49? Even if everything what had been perfect,y 17 yr old was like this is not a $50 a meal for 2 qualify restaurant. The staff is nice. Thet do try. But they are not educated enough to keep those with celiac and wheat allergy safe. I would not go back and would definitely not take my husband there as he is the most sensitive in the home to gluten exposure. Second time back utilizing the coupons that were given to me from the last visit. They get a bump to 4 stars. I ordered a california burger this time (custom) order. Overall the burger was good but the bun was super dry kind of fell apart as I ate it and I consumed quite a bit of water to get it down. It was cooked well with generous toppings. Fries were a bit mooshy tasted a tad bit old. I did get the wings this time. They were fresh and moist. Went with the 3 pepper sauce which for was quite mild but I would say the wings were good. A friend and I decided to stop in for dinner on Monday evening after a day of traveling. Walked in around 7:00pm, greeted, and seated right away. Our server Haley S. arrived at our table fairly quickly. She was kind and ready to help. We let her know we've never been here before, she gave us all the details about her menu. We enjoyed a beer and shared the Milwaukee Melt with cheese curds (size of a golf ball- no joke), chicken sandwich with onion rings, and side of Cajun fries. Food was good! However, next time I'd ask for the Milwaukee Melt to have extra onions and not to overcook the bread. The menu has lots of variety and so many options to pick from. Portions are large. We ended up here because we wanted to slide to Wisconsin since we were in Minneapolis. Fun fact, you can travel less than an hour from Minneapolis to WI if you want to cover two states in one trip. They have a fishbowl drink which is meant to share. Not my kids though. They took it as a challenge and let me tell you, they failed lol. The burgers were delicious. I really enjoyed the fries too. Very happy with finding this place for dinner. Drove from MN over to check this place out as the burgers looked very good. The parking lot was fully packed and we thought we would have to wait for a long time but to my surprise we were sat right away. We were hungry so we ordered the pretzel bites and they came right away. I was impressed with how fast the food came. The pretzel bites came with 2 sauces. I liked the pepper jack sauce but the other one tasted off. I place an order for the double smashed Pattie's that came with cheese and grilled onions and pickles. My burger was really good and I accompanied it with onion rings. I'll say these onion rings are different than what you would expect. The batter is very different because it does not stay greasy. I really enjoyed them. I also was able to try the steak burger that came with cheese and mushrooms. That was really good and am happy to say the whole experience was great. On a search for cheese curds we ended up at Milwaukee burger company. Visited for Lunch on a Monday and it was extremely busy but probably due to a holiday and a lot of kids. Even though it was fairly busy were we're seated quickly. Noise level inside was very high. There were lots of people but still surprised at how loud it was. Booth seating was also pretty uncomfortable as we kept getting pushed from people on both sides. There was just no padding or solid piece between the two sides to insulate the movements. I'd recommend opting for a table unless you like shots to the kidneys your whole meal. They have a variety of beer, that appears to rotate, and you can see the days offerings by scanning the QR code at the table. Since they had a variety of locals, I started with a flight that was eight dollars to try out a few. Since we came for cheese curds, we tried the variety platter. I was surprised at the size of three of the four varieties. You got three pieces of each but they were probably 2 by 2 in so very large. It also included a handful of the state fair cheese curds most people know and love. Most of our party got burgers and fries but I opted for beer cheese soup as my side. You know...when in Rome! The food was tasty and the portions were big. Our eyes were much larger than our stomachs so we had plenty of leftover. Service was decent, not exceptional but not lacking in any way. Just kind of average and what you would expect. Overall, it was standard dining experience. Would I go out of my way to try again?
