Would highly recommend a sauce, specifically something with a bit of a kick to it to really exaggerate and bring out the other flavors. The worst fast food experience I've ever had. Sat in line for 30 minutes when there was around 10 cars in line just to get to the front and have to wait another 5 minutes each to order and give the kid my card when there's 10+ workers inside most of which look like aren't doing anything. Finally get up to the window and next thing I know I'm getting handed a sticker to stick on my car to guess what? Go wait some more in the parking lot or the next 15 minutes. Could have easily gone to red lobster and gotten a way better meal for probably similar price and I probably would have been in and out faster than the hour I was at Culver's tonight. Slow and disorganized. Team lead even had a hard time finding how to ring up kids meals. Lots of staff but looked like they needed a huddle of 3 or 4 to figure anything and everything out. Service was slow and order (two kids meals, so not much) was missing an applesauce which we luckily checked before leaving. We generally are big fans of Culver's. We aren't fast food people usually, but coming from the South, they're a fun treat. I love this Culvers! The employees and management are always professional and quick. I eat here often. I have many severe food allergies. They happen to have one sandwich I can eat. They leave off what I can't and they are always very careful with my food. The interior is clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and inviting. Obviously not a good day to visit because they didn't seem on their game. I think I know why, which I'll explain in a minute. I visited the drive thru at 8pm on a Tuesday. I placed my order and pulled to the window. I was greeted and paid immediately. While waiting there for my shake I had a lot of time to observe things. There were 5 cars waiting for their food. I could read the managements notes to staff posted all over the wall. I watched the interior employees waiting on customers. None of the staff seemed to be smiling. And there were still 5 cars waiting for their food. After what seemed like 10 minutes I got my shake and pulled to one of the waiting spots. Out came two employees (no smiles) with a half dozen bags. All 5 cars got served and so did I. My food almost beat me to my parking spot. I pulled away, got to my destination and opened my sack. No ketchup and mustard packets as I requested, and no ketchup and mustard on my burger as I requested. And I'm pretty sure my chocolate shake had strawberries, not cherries as requested. It was a non descript red flavor. So back to my observations, why I think they weren't on their game, and those management notes posted where customers can see them..... How miserable it must be for employees to work in an environment where the culture is such as to threaten employees in hand scribbled notes for the world to see; threatening to dock pay for using the wrong cups or not adding the proper amount of ice. Good experience food came pretty quick, the lady explained the kids meal. The food was pretty good although the burger was kinda plain. How ever we were with family and their order took awhile while our order which had about six people took less than theirs which only had three people and they also messed up, but the Employees seem to have a generally positive attitude. I hadn't eaten at Culver's in a long time. I used to always get the chili cheese dog but they got rid of that. But my family decided to try it out tonight. I got the sourdough melt and I didn't think it had much flavor. Like, at all. My son got a regular butter burger, he took one bite and said it was burnt, he didn't like it. In my opinion it was only slightly burnt although probably flavorless like mine. He didn't eat it. My hubby got a chicken sandwich he said it tasted ok. I requested cheese curds instead of fries and they were good. Also got a malt and shake and those were good. Overall...eh. Not impressed.
