The brisket eggrolls were boring .. literally brisket, deep fried with BBQ sauce. The steak was unseasoned and served room temp (notice even the butter placed on top did not melt). I specifically asked if the grilled hamberry sandwich was actually grilled.. waiter stated Yes. Well no.. it was pieces of toast with the insides placed between. The cheese was not even melted. I really really like it here! It's not very big. Our group of 5 had a reservation, and we were sat a high top which was a surprise but luckily nobody in our group minded. Our waiter was super friendly, but also slow. The truffle fries were delightful. The Goat Cheese balls were way too big with not nearly enough breading to cheese. Tasty, but hard to eat and really just giant orbs of cheese. Entrees were lovely, and well priced. The pesto pasta came with a HUGE piece of burrata which was delicious. Get the butter cake. One of our favorite restaurants in town. Service and food is good every visit. If you like soup, you must try their soup of the day, even if it sounds odd or an unlikely combo. On our last visit, the special was a sausage, kale, curry, coconut (I think) soup and it was so delicious. We often have their soup specials and they are unique and delicious every time we go. read more

I ordered the Tuscan Walleye for dinner and the flavor was great! The price and quality of food is great in a town the size of Mankato. I would like to try more of the menu! My only nitpick with the dish is that the carrot puree seemed too oily but otherwise great! The drink menu is extensive and you can easily find something to enjoy and a reasonable price. Service was fast and friendly. You can make it in and out in under an hour if you prefer. Ambiance is ok. It is too bright and sterile to match the "main" dinner menu. Maybe they could turn the lights down a bit in the evenings, especially with all the Christmas lights in the windows. read more

No cars driving through with their petrol blowing in your face it really was enjoyable sitting outside. Gochujang Pork belly was like eating door stoppers ( i gotta be honest) except for two pieces - wouldn't recommend you getting that UNLESS your guaranteed tender belly fat. This was genuinely one of the best meals i've ever had. We had the blackened salmon, hilltop cocktail, steak and fries, and butter cake. the hilltop cocktail was super good and got me a nice buzz! the steak and fries were yummy and cooked well! but the salmon...oh that salmon. It's a perfectly cooked and seasoned salmon on a bed of perfectly cooked gnocchi and crisp flavorful asparagus on a bed of the greatest red sauce i've ever had. Garlicky! Tomatoey! Peppery! Perfection! I quite literally licked the plate clean. And the butter cake my goodness! It's sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Melt-in-your-mouth gooey goodness with a crispy crust with strawberry whipped cream and macerated strawberry slices. ADDICTIVE. I really could eat myself to death here. And the staff was so so nice!! The vibes were perfect. It just was all around a fantastic experience, and even though i live about 10 hours away, i am considering coming back out just for this place. i'm putting this meal up with my Gordon Ramsey meal i had in vegas. Lovely place in the old town of Mankato. Glad to make the reservation as it seems to be a busy night here. First time being here and this place feels very young and modern. We are visiting Mankato for the first time and chose this restaurant due to its menu. There is a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches, and main courses. We ordered several main dishes and they were all quite delish. Out of all we ordered, I personally rank the following #1 Chicken Leg - I like the spiciness in the sauce. Wish it was a bit more kick for me since I like spices. It also came with broccolini which is my fav. #2 Porkchop - I was surprised that it comes with rice. The pork chop came a little dry for me but I still like it overall. I wish there was more sauce so the rice could be more flavorful. #3 Walleye - this one was okay, I think the flavor is more plain. Do we live in Mankato, no. But driving to brunch will always be a thing in this household. We drove out to Mankato to check out this brunch spot that has been getting rave reviews and I am so glad we stopped in. With an intimate setting with clean lines and an open kitchen plan, the food really just set the experience to a five out of five. I got their lemon, ricotta pancakes, and they were to die for. They were fluffy with a hint of acidity from the lemon and just melted in your mouth. Also got a side of their house sausage, which I totally recommend. You can definitely tell that they make those sausages to order. Found this place on our way to Minneopa state park in Mankato. Located probably about 10 mins from the park. It's next to a few other restaurant and stores (downtown Mankato area). Street parking but there is plenty especially on a Saturday. They do have patio available but we opted for high top. Brussels sprouts- sauté with bacon and it was actually very tasty. One of the recommended high seller appetizers and it was great. Burnt pork tip- not a dish I was interested in. If you like pork belly this may be the dish for you... maybe We got sandwiches I think peach + bacon and the cubano. Decided to get the fries and salad upgrade. Fries was crispy and good. Salad was so good! Loved it. I wouldn't mind getting a full salad order next time and maybe add chicken. Service was great and good came out pretty fast. This is a place with a ton of potential. Great menu but a little constructive criticism. We had the spicy chicken sandwich and French dip, both with fries. Fries were awesome! There was zero spice or flavor in the chicken itself. The flavor came from the fixings. The chicken was overcooked and so hard/crunchy it made it difficult to eat. The French dip bun was great but the meat and au juice was lacking any flavor. As stated above, this place has great potential with just a little guidance in the kitchen it could be great! read more

This is a great place to dine if you're in Mankato! Good food, good drinks, and great service! On top of that you'll also be supporting a woman owned business! Not only are you eating well but you're also doing good! We tried this while visiting our warehouse provider in Mankato and by happenstance my wife liked the name so we just went there. We were pleasantly surprised by a clean ambiance, good selection of tap beer, and a great lamb burger! We also tried the lasagna soup (yes, there is such a thing but it's not for the weight conscious) and the buffalo wings tacos, all of them tasted great! Date night at Nolabelle Overall this was a fabulous evening out This was nolabelle's soft opening, so we did not expect perfection as this is their time to figure things out and get the kinks worked out. For an appetizer Michael had the pretzel covered goat cheese balls and I had the blueberry chicken tacos. These were both good. What would have made them amazing was a little more seasoning. lf salt and pepper would have been on the table both apps would have been dynamite, Next I had the arugula & apple salad and Michael had the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese dipper My salad was really good. Sadly the grilled cheese was cold, the cheese was no longer melty and the soup was luke warm. It tasted good but I am sure they would have been better if they had been warm. Lastly for an entree Michael had the shrimp and grits and i had the pork schnitzel. The shrimp and grits were seasoned to perfection! The grits were the best I have ever had. The salad and the fries with cheese sauce vith my entree we very good. Fries were crispy and the salad was bright and fresh. The pork cutlet was over cooked, so it was a little tough. Honestly, one of the best meals we have had in mankato and I hope this place makes it. The drinks were good and a decent price. And they said "uhm no" "kitchens busy" mind you they didn't put us on hold or anything so I could hear the entire conversation the people were having saying oh my god no way it's too busy or something like that. We just came from a hike at Minneopa Falls and looking to fuel up again. I got mocktail and both myself and partner agreed this was so bland and could have done a better job for $8 when an alcoholic drink was a couple dollars more. I would highly recommend the Truffle fries! The garlic aioli definitely makes it I ordered the Burrata - Caprese which was okay and my partner got the Peach + Bacon Grilled Cheese. This sandwich surprised us both with great flavors! Wish they would put more in the sandwich itself as it was pretty thin but definitely was yummy with the peaches and bacon Overall I would say it was a pretty good restaurant with a modern atmosphere. Sunday midafternoon late lunch/early dinner and had a marvelous meal! Top honors went to the Thai Peanut soup that was sweet, hot, with great texture and peanutiness! Great Cobb salad with seasoned chicken, thick cut bacon, avocado and a nice light creamy dressing. My Cubano was amazing with crispy slices of fried/breaded cutlet and melted Brie. We made the trip down from the cities on a Saturday and stopped at Nolabelle on our way to Jeffers petroglyphs. I had made a reservation for 1:30pm but we were going to be late and had to reschedule to 2pm. They close to prep for lunch service for about 30-45 minutes at 2pm. Our fault for being late, so we waited in a booth and got drinks. I needed about that much time to decide what I wanted to order, anyway. We got the spicy chicken sandwich, side arugula + apple salad, tomato bisque, and the plain Jain burger, add egg, with a side Caesar salad. The chicken was very good. Not the absolute best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had, but very good. The burger was good and fresh. Both salads were very tasty. The soup was fresh but needed more salt/seasoning. Came for breakfast while in town visiting family. This place has a trendy, big city vibe that is also very welcoming. Open at 8 on the weekends for breakfast, we were greeted at the door. We didnt have reservations but were able to get seated immediately. The menu had a variety of familiar breakfast items with a twist. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good but the pain perdu (similar to french toast) was really good. Both dishes were generous portions. The country hash was really good as well. I've gone to this restaurant 4 previous times. I have always loved the food & service. However, this time service was horrible. We had a 20 minute wait which was ok. We were seated in 24 minutes But had to remind the hostess we requested outside as she was going to seat us inside. We sat at our table another 15 minutes with no contact from anyone. Servers were walking by us for other tables. There were 4 tables empty outside. There were empty tables inside also so it didn't seem to busy. We finally stopped a server & asked if we could order. He said there must have been a miscommunication. He took our order. The menu had changed since my last time here. The hanger steak was the best. It was replaced with another similar steak (ribeye) but it was very gristly. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out. overall experience was not what I was expecting. it's no longer one of my favorite spots to eat in Mankato. read more
