They really need to fix the drive up situation. They have one person taking orders in the parking lot. He's about 5 car lengths from the window causing traffic to back up into the parking lot. Also, clearly doesn't know what he's doing. He needs guidance. This is terrible. And, the cars start so far back that you are too far from the menu to see it. While you know they make it fresh, 9-10 cars waiting for food at a time is crazy. read more

Picking up here in the drive-thru is always the way I grab my food from here. They do a great job and getting you through - give you a number for your window - have you park - and then deliver your food once it's hot and fresh right to you in a warm, friendly manner. Love it! What do I usually get? I usually get the double bacon deluxe basket with French fries or their cheese curbs with marinara and instead of raw onion I replace with cooked onions. The burgers are always hot and fresh and taste great! Their American cheese has a nice flavor too. Aside from the burgers some other standouts are the cod sandwich with cheddar cheese and lettuce. I'll need to ask for more tartar sauce on the side because it does need a little extra flavor to it. When I grab this I also order a side of coleslaw - which is pretty good. Overall - this is one of the best fast food places to get fresh food. It contends with Shake Shack, Freddy's, and Schoops in my opinion. read more

We frequent this Culvers regularly and it's overwhelmingly been fantastic. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait at the drive through but they are doing their best with the volume of cars. Food is always delicious. Favorites of course are the burgers, shrimp, meatloaf, grilled cheese, chicken noodle soup, pretzel bites, cheese curds, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and custard. 0 star Drive-up disaster never returning. I watched my order get handed to another vehicle right in front of me. I spoke with two employees immediately, asking for a refund not just for the food, but for the time I wasted trying to get someone to take responsibility. I was told no one at the store had the authority to issue a refund. Eventually, my order was canceled and I was handed cash, but not before a frustrating back-and-forth. Then came the kicker: they offered me a coupon. As if I'd come back after that mess. Absolutely not. This location needs serious training and better systems in place. Mistakes happen, but how you handle them matter and this was handled terribly. I won't be returning. read more

We ordered our food, got our cups for drinks. Went to the drink counter and the sweet tea canister is empty. I went up to ask for then to fill it and they said "no." It's 5:54pm, they close at 10:30pm, and they said the best they could do would be to give me sugar packets for the unsweetened tea they still have. The root beer is also out of service... My two favorite drinks at Culver's. This is unfortunate and a poor way to serve the public. read more

Curbside delivery is in the middle of the drive thru, and is so difficult to get to. I ended up waiting in the drive thru before being able to park because everyone thought I was cutting in line. It was a long wait and my ice cream was served melted. The worker tried to ignore me, but did get it replaced after all. Worst service ive had at culvers ever! Wow. So disappointed. I am normally a huge fan of Culver's. It is my go-to in Brandon, FL and Schererville, IN. We happened to be driving past the one in St John and hubby pulled in. Ordered the standard Mushroom Swiss single for me and Chicken Sandwich for hubby. My burger was TERRIBLE. It was smashed like a pancake (exaggeration), dry, tasteless and chewy. Hubby's chicken sandwich was rubbery & flavorless. What a colossal waste of money and an affront to the Culver's brand. I DO NOT recommend this Culver's in St. John. read more

I've never had a horrible experience here. The burgers are fresh, the fries are crispy, and the custard is creamy and delicious. The service however, can be slow at times. I notice that sometimes it's quicker to go through the drive-through, and sometimes it's quicker to eat inside. Either way, the service isn't always "spot-on". The dining area is well-kept; regularly cleaned and sanitized. 5 stars for food, -1 stars for the iffy service. read more

Don't order fish at the St. John Culvers!! TERRIBLE! My fish sandwich looked like an overcooked corn dog and my husband's three piece dinner was overcooked as well.
