I like having a self serve fro-yo place in the area. It's refreshing whereas sometimes ice cream can be a little heavy.

This is a nice spot to grab a sweet treat. The atmosphere is very colorful and fun, you can pick your own frozen yogurt or sorbet and then you can top it with whatever toppings you find! Some examples are boba, fruit, candies, cereal, sauces, and nuts. They also sell some chocolate dipped sweet treats as well if you prefer a rice krispy or marshmallow. You pay by the pound so make sure you keep that in mind when piling on your toppings. You can also sign up to receive a treat on your birthday. How?! How does this place not have any reviews?! I. Love. Sweet. Frog. For Real. Sweet Frog is whimsical and totally appeals to me like none other. Sweet Frog is clean (bathroom is immaculate). The staff are always kind and happy and helpful. You have a ton of different frozen yogurt options to choose from. My favorite is totally the sugar free vanilla. It has no sugar (duh) and tastes amazing. Then you have all these incredible toppings to choose from. My favorites are the fresh fruit, shredded coconut, white chocolate chips, and Heath bits. I'm seriously salivating just thinking about it. When you've created your masterpiece you place your cup on a scale and you pay (I believe) 47 cents an ounce. I am in love with place... so much so that I have received multiple gift cards as Christmas presents and already they are gone. I cannot wait until my next visit. =] read more

4+ years later after my first Review - Sunday I made a special trip there and I was a customer a few years PRIOR to my post 4+ years ago. Today, March 20th and I was very disappointed with the "Lack of Customer Service" that I received. I received the text below where you could fill the cup and not be charged by the ounce. Instead of my offer, I was offered only 10% off NOT the marketing material that was sent to me via text that brought me into the location. The person in front of me had the same issue but they offered her coupon for free yogurt. I asked for the same courtesy that they gave her and was turned down. They offered me only 10% off with another promotion that they had going on since I declined to pay full price minus the 10%. Then they told me that I could throw the product away WOW. Me & my vehicle wasted time & my premium gas since I passed Red Mango in order to go there. My photo is what they had me to throw away and the offer I received via text. I posted my issue on the stores website and no one has even bothered to reach out to me back from the Schererville Store as of yet which led me to my post today. read more

I was happy to see the sugar free ice cream and the fruit toppings. I would love to see some kind of sugar free chocolate chips or something like that to mix in. Other than that the place is clean and brightly colored. Very brightly colored! kids love the place. The bathroom was super clean too!!! Yes, yes there is a religious affiliation but seriously people are so sensitive about everything these days. I don't know why there should be a problem with it. They have good dessert and its not like they hold you down and force feed you Holy Ice Cream and beat you over the head with the Bible to repent. Sheesh. Some people need to chill. read more

This place is my not-so-secret vice. I ALWAYS have the low fat, no sugar added vanilla yogurt. Then I delude myself that it is healthy event though I add candy. There are about 25 flavors available. My small usually comes to around $3.75. The selection of fruit and candy add ons is quite satisfying. The staff keeps the add on bar very clean and neat and full. I like the plastic chairs outside on a nice day. inside can get loud, especially when there are a lot of children in the store. I suppose one should not complain about children in an ice cream shop but I am. The company philosopy is Christian and they make no bones about advertising it. GOOD FOR THEM! The staff is polite and helpful. I'm working on my 4th free (1 after 10 paid) this summer... Sweet Frog is my not so secret vice now. read more

I really like the froyo here--it's much lighter than Red Mango. They have a large selection of flavors and the topping bar is extensive (no mochi to my disappointment however). They have little cups so you can try every flavor until your heart is content. They usually have one or two dairy-free sorbet flavors available too. The restaurant itself is super clean. The staff is always happy and friendly, and I would say this is a great place to bring small children and hang out for awhile. This restaurant does have a religious affiliation (FROG = Fully Rely on God) but no where in the entire place does it say anything about God/Jesus/religion. Until I seen their website, I wasn't even aware that it was. They don't shove anything down your throat or even say "God bless" or anything as you're leaving. So don't let that stop you from coming. There are quite a few self serve yogurt stops popping up everywhere. At first I really enjoyed Red Mango, but now I have a new favorite. Sweet Frog is a family oriented company and their locations are very kid attractive. The prices are a lot fairer than others and the flavors do not disappoint at all! Been going here since the day it opened and it continues to be my favorite yogurt place around the area. The frozen yogurt actually tastes like what it is supposed to and not a sour version of chocolate or vanilla. I'm seriously craving some right now! We FINALLY visited this place this summer, and the whole family LOVES it (and that's saying something cuz my picky crew can't agree on anything... even dessert!) What were we waiting for?? We've ended up here about once a month and have tried a variety of flavors and toppings and have yet to have a less that delicious combo. My favorite part is the tiny sample cups you can ask for at the register, so you can try small amounts of the yogurt flavors. They lead to us frequently being surprised by a flavor we might not normally try or even weird/unique combos. Last time I had green apple and pomegranate with some fresh fruit and gummy bears in the same cup and it was excellent! I freaking love this place. this has the serve yourself feature. Red mango can't compare. I heard there is a place in crown point that people claim to be better than SF, we'll see. They have a lot to choose from (I think 12), tons of toppings and a cute little shop to sit in. The staff keeps the place very clean all day long which is fabulous because the place is small with limited space. There is nothing worse than going to a place like that and having smeared ice cream on every table you want to sit at. They have coupons in local area mail all the time. I became a fan of them on FB and they have FB specials. They also have something you can sign up for with texts and you get deals on that as well. They just changed the punch card system so everything is electronic now. Which is great because I always lose those dumb cards. I think I only paid full price once when I went in there, I always have a coupon. I put crushed graham cracker in the bottom of my cup and then add everything. Yum! Right now my favorite yogurt is mint. They change the flavors, but I think they change them more often in the hot months, which makes sense. read more

The froyo is good. The problem I have is that this place nickel and dimes you for everything. Got a deal for a "no weigh" cup where no where does it say that they cap it at 14oz. The woman at the counter says to me as I am filling my cup, "we should probably weigh that because we cap the no weigh at 14oz." I said that it says that no where on the offer and she has no explanation. This isn't the first time they have given me crap anytime I use an offer. The other issue I have is all the signs everywhere already scolding you to not do this and that. They even have a sign on the door alerting you as your walk in what you can't do. It is not inviting at all and makes me feel uncomfortable to even go in bc there's always something they have a problem with. I haven't had this experience with any other froyo place, so I do think it's unique to this place. Try making your customers feel more welcome and don't send out an offer and not put in the fine print really what it is read more

Ususally love this place however tonight I went there with the hubbie and kids at 830 and the door was locked. Front door and everything online says they close at 930. Girl was cleaning up front by the door and saw us and completely ignored us......if she at least came to the door saying they closed early cuz of the snow i would have understood, but she ignored us like we weren't there......they were the ones who decided to close early.....when we left i called the location to see if they answered to see what time they would tell me they closed and they let ot go to the answering machine....... read more

This place is GREAT!!! My husband and our 2 kids just noticed this place a few weeks ago. Its wonderful. The yogurt is great and you have so many different flavors and they change some out and replace them with new flavors (seasonal). The staff is friendly and its EXTREMELY clean!
