Came here because I was in the mood for ramen, and my dad had never tried it before, so it felt like a good intro spot. Located in Schererville, Indiana, it's in a convenient area surrounded by plenty of shopping and other restaurants, with easy parking. The menu offers a wide variety beyond ramen -- boba teas, specialty drinks, plus ice cream and shakes -- which makes it easy for everyone to find something they'll like. I ordered the spicy fried chicken ramen, and it definitely delivered. The spice level was just right -- flavorful with a good kick but not overwhelming. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly. I tried the honey lemon tea. It was refreshing, but next time I'd probably go with peach or mango for more flavor. As for my dad? When you first step in, make sure to order at the cashier's place, as that is where they take orders. The place is very cozy and nice with a traditional Japanese/Chinese vibe. The tonkotsu ramen was also really good, on par with some Japanese restaurants. Solid pick if you are coming out here. read more

Have been here so many times for the smoothies. They are so delicious and the staff is always super friendly and super helpful with navigating new menu items. As for the food, I have not yet tried the ramen but the fried rice is not necessarily a favorite of mine. It lacked flavor and just wasn't that great. The karage chicken was fresh and good. For my first time here the young man walked us through the menu and explained EVERYTHING! He was amazing even on a crowded night. The restaurant was nicely put together and comfortable and super clean. They had a DJ out front that was on point maybe a one time deal but it was fun! They had a special on all drinks on 4.99 and the boba (passion fruit with strawberry hearts)was amazing. The tempura and seafood ramen so good and so many add ons. 2 meals, 2 boba teas and an appetizer for 50$ is very reasonable for dinner for 2. I highly recommend even the take out was fast. Food was delicious from this ramen spot. I had the crispy chicken ramen soup and it was perfect, full of flavor. The mango smoothies were great too. My wife and daughter loved the green matcha ice cream. We are definitely coming back to this ramen spot. Service was great and the workers were very polite and attentive. We're from Hawaii (where there's many authentic ramen shops) and were desperately needing Japanese food in Indiana. Found this place on Yelp, and we're so glad we did. Review on what we ordered: Tonkotsu ramen- broth and noodles were good....almost as good as ramen shops back home. Toppings (char siu, egg, fish cake, bamboo shoots) were authentic and also very good. Portion size was good. Fried squid- Delicious. It came with a Mayo sauce that made it even better Shrimp fried rice- also very good. Shrimps were big and was tasty Matcha soft serve- just like how it tastes in Japan. Strong matcha flavor and creamy. If we found this place earlier in our trip, we would have eaten here multiple times. Staff was also very nice, hard working and friendly. 10/10 recommend! read more

This place was originally called Motea, and was my favorite ramen place across two cities. That was before I tried Kyoto Ramen, essentially the same concept but under new and improved management. I have tried ramen and bubble tea all over the world. Kyoto is my absolute favorite for the price and for the quality. You can adjust your ramen with any broth and any protein for no additional charge. You can adjust the sugar levels in many of their drinks and everything I've tried has been superb. The customer service is unmatched. The staff will patiently answer all of my questions without making me feel pressured to tip. They also have a rewards system in place where you earn a certain amount off of your purchases the more you spend. I've only been there three times in the last 2 months, and I'm close to a free entree . The store is just as cute as before. Great for a date night or for families. read more

The food is good, but i was the first of MANY MANY customers and first of all my cashier was wearing airpods, second when i asked for a receipt i just didn't receive one. And then the buzzer for my drinks buzzed when only 2/3 of the drinks were ready. I wait for 30 min my smoothie still had not come out, I ask the cashier politely about the status of my drink in case there was a mix up. I was rudely responded and just told to sit down. Then three min later by the drink makers I'm asked if I am still waiting for somthing.
