I remember it being Captain Nemo's as a kid and before that it was another location of Sherman's. Now it's Sour Pier Creamery named after the South Haven lighthouse. They have over 40 flavors, making it very hard to choose. Some of the flavor names were very clever. My son got Blue Moon and my daughter got Honey Lavender. The ice cream was creamy and delicious. South Pier is such a cute ice cream shop and great location!

If you've seen Yellowstone you'll get the joke. Mine had a caramel bourbon ice cream with toffee bits and swirl. It was excellent. All of us loved our choices. If anything the serving is just a touch too big. I'd go back, but it's a long trek from the other side of the state.

It's a dangerous and delightful place. I'm not sure about the prices. This stuff *seems* expensive, but since you don't buy an armload of candy very often (do you??), it's hard to tell. So just go ahead and treat yourself (and your kids I guess, but mostly you, because sugar is bad for kids) and see whether you can make it last beyond the journey home at the end of the trip.
