I ordered my favorite two piece cod dinner today. The fish was short and it didn't have the breading it normally does. The texture was more like tilapia and I didn't like it at all. In fact, I ended up throwing it out the piece you see I had to fish out of the garbage to show you. I don't want you to make the same mistake I made. I was so disappointed. My first time at this location. Being from Washington state, home to fresh Ling Cod, I am always on the hunt for great fish and chips. I just recently my order and it smells amazing and looks delicious. Instead of fries and coleslaw, I opted for broccoli and mashed taters with gravy. Glad I did! The food arrived pretty quickly, so warm I could feel the heat from the plate. Two pieces of North Atlantic cod appears to plenty with all this food. First bite of the cod!!! Wow! Meaty, great batter that's thin not doughy. Just updated my initial 4 star to a 5! I found my new spot for fish and chips. I also got the 6 piece deep fried shrimp. Very hot, meaty, and fresh. I love how they gave plenty of cocktail and tartar sauce. Another note, when they rang up my total, there was no prompting for a tip. My very first time trying Culvers! It was surprisingly pretty good; I ordered the culvers bacon deluxe and made it a combo. I didn't know what fry sauce was, but it's apparently a utah thing which is basically a mixed sauce similar to canes, in n out, and chick fil a. I was rlly surprised at the service! The staff were SO friendly and they bring your food to you. I noticed on each table there was also a QR code, so I guess you can sit and just order through the code as well. The place I went to was pretty packed at 7PM; there were a lot of family and kids but it was pretty spacious with a lot of tables and seating! On Sunday I tried Culvers for the first time. I had watched several YouTube channels who had placed their fish in either first or second place so when I arrived at the restaurant I was confident I would be happy with my meal. I ordered the two piece Cod.. the person said it came with frys and coleslaw. I thought I could pick my sides and when I asked about that, he then corrected himself. I payed extra for onion rings and also ordered the coleslaw, all to go. I drove about a block and pulled over at a tree-lined area, expecting to be thrilled. While the batter on the fish was hot and crispy, it and the fish had absolutely no flavor. I dont believe that either had a luck of seasoning, and that included not even a grain of salt. Imagine trying to choke down a big white cotton ball. No flavor, just a piece of fish with not a lick of seasoning. Unfortunately there was no salt included in my sack so I moved onto the onion rings. I was truly hard pressed to find the onion in the onion rings. I can only congratulate Culvers on having the ability to take the thinnest strand of onion and cover the onion in enough batter to disguise what you are eating. The coleslaw was good. My meal came with two containers of tartar sauce. I asked if they had fry sauce for the onion rings but was told you had to pay extra for that. I wonder if they charge for salt. I paid somewhere between $14.00 to $15.00. Again, I came to Culvers expecting to be thrilled. My whole attitude toward this chain was positive until I received my order. At the cost of the meal, I sincerely doubt I will give Culvers another try. read more

I went to a Culver's while traveling on business near Chicago and it was AMAZING. So after getting home I took the family to the one near our house and it was a real disappointment. I got onion rings, a bacon burger and a concrete shake and everything was great. The hamburger was perfectly cooked and decent thickness. The onion rings were perfectly cooked and nice and thick. The concrete mixer was well blended and great with lots of toppings. Unfortunately that was the one in IL and this one was nothing like that. My wife's hamburger had good flavor but was extremely thin and over cooked. It looked like paper. The onion rings were over cooked and many were thin and broken. Our ice creams weren't mixed well at all as the bottom half were just plain vanilla. So disappointing after having such great Culver's so far away. read more

We went to Culver's and order two chocolate concrete with Andes Mints and one vanilla concrete with Heath bits. We paid at the window and they gave us two concretes. Where is mine? I deserve those beautiful chocolate mint pieces because I didn't cry during my shot! But by this time I was almost home and really done with everything. I have liked Culver's for a long time. I recently started going to this one in South Jordan. Today the service was very friendly and the food was great. I ordered a fish fillet sandwich because I wasn't hungry enough for the fish fillet dinner (if you get the dinner, get 3 pieces and then share it with someone or keep the leftovers for an entire other meal). And I tried their pretzel bites and ordered extra cheese sauce because in so many instances in life, there just isn't enough sauce. The pretzel bites are the best I've had. They are tender on the inside, properly crispy on the outside, and they give you enough cheese in ONE cup that you really don't need to order extra sauce. What a delightful surprise. The fish filet sandwich was great. Crispy battered fish, excellently prepared with enough sauce and lettuce and cheese to be really good. I started eating my meal before I thought to take pictures. We went on a weeknight in the drive thru. We've always seen the line super long so it always intrigued us. We ordered two burger combos. When you pay, you get a sticky note with a number on it that you stick on your car window. Then you drive up a little and wait for your food to come out. Pretty cool! Sadly, when we got our order, we were missing our second burger. I had to call the store to notify them and they took about 10 minutes to bring us our second one. The burgers were alright. Many years ago, I stumbled across a Culvers in the midwest while doing a little road trip. It was my first experience with this restaurant, and I immediately fell in love. Imagine my delight and excitement when they opened a location a few miles from my home! It's been dangerous, let me tell you. The service at this location has been good. People are friendly, food is prepared and delivered quickly. I usually favor the drive thru, and try to remember to bring my dog-they give out doggie treats! I've heard of Culvers for years and finally had the chance to try it out. I stopped by near closing time and went to the drive-thru. I only ordered two items, and they were both delightful treats :) I got a large order of cheese curds that came out piping hot and with a few cups of fry sauce. The cheese curds are oval in shape and not all uniform, which mixes things up and makes them not so boring. Although I was eating in the dark for the most part, I realized that some of the cheese curds contain yellow/orange cheddar cheese and some white! Really mixing things up here. I'd say these are amongst the best fast food cheese curds I've ever had - a lot of cheese, not too much batter. I highly recommend them! I also ordered a large huckleberry cobbler concrete shake upon recommendation at the drive-thru. I felt like I was really having a huckleberry pie mixed with vanilla ice cream in a cup! Everything was nicely blended together, and the best part was definitely digging up the scattered chunks of sweet granola. They didn't skimp on the granola or berries at all. The meat is juicy and you can really taste the beef flavor. For me that is the first thing that grabs my attention. Buns can also make the difference and of course the accompanying condiments that follow. My favorite so far is their mushroom swiss. Its simple yet so tasty. The fried chicken sandwich is okay.
