I was disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered a butter chicken sandwich but received a plain sandwich instead. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food. The staff did replace my sandwich after I brought it to their attention, which I appreciated. However, finding a hair in your food is unacceptable. I believe all fast-food employees who prepare food should wear hairnets to help prevent situations like this. We decided to stop here and grab a bite to eat after shopping a nearby stores. When we entered we were immediately greeted by the cashiers at the counter. It took a while for us to decide on what we wanted but the young lady at the cashier was nice. I initially was going to order something but she persuaded me to order a chicken sandwich and add Buffalo sauce on the side with fries. I ended up getting my usual Dr. Pepper. The wait to get our food wasn't long as they brought it to our table immediately. Well I way heading towards Target South, when Culver's caught my eye, and decided I'll stop and check it out. Since my last experience was out west of OakBrook, IL with a friend after viewing a movie, and he decided to stop. So I tried the Buttery Burger then, and did once again here in St Louis, once again very tasty as I recalled my first experience, great staff within the restaurant, and noticed new items coming, so I will stop once again to try the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, wish me luck eh! read more

The food wasn't great. Usually pretty good but not this time. The service was terrible. Took an hour to get our food. Wife finally had to go ask for it. I go inside and let them know politely, i hear two kids working in the back say "TOLD YOU!" when they were told that they did an order wrong. I ordered a butter double cheeseburger, cheese curds, and a root beer. Culver's is consistently good and the service is awesome! I usually get the chicken finger meal with honey mustard which is always delivered to either my car or table piping hot and fresh. The workers who deliver the food are super friendly and deliver with a smile! My last visit, I was able to interact with David who was legit the sweetest guy and works super hard. I can't visit without also ordering a dessert item. Sometimes I get the flavor of the day, but most recently, I discovered ordering a small cup of vanilla with raspberry and hot fudge which is super delish! I would also recommend visiting them for some snacks if you don't need a full meal. I ordered the pretzel bites and the cheese curds a few weeks ago after shopping and they were fresh and easy to share with my shopping buddy. I have not eaten at a Culver's for several years and we were looking for a quick lunch before going to the Costco. Menu is a little hard to follow as many things seem to be on there twice and I was surprised at how much a basic burger was, so I just ordered a single with cheese and made it a combo. Person at register was being trained and made a few mistakes and couldn't seem to answer a couple of basic questions but that is to be expected since they were training. Restaurant was clean and we found a table. Weird thing is there was a guy trying to fundraise at the next booth over, and employees seem to know him and were ok with it. Food came, fries were hot and good, but the burger just meh. Not worth the price of admission. Probably wont go back very often as I don't think the quality of the food is worth the cost. This is only the second time I ever remember going to Culver's and my experience was just okay. I got a cheeseburger with everything, fries, and a drink, and, luckily, it was under $10. Unlike Shake Shake or Smashburger. It was only after my meal that I realize that I only get fast food burgers from Shake Shake or Smashburger! The burger was just okay, the fries lesser so. I've been to this location & I've had it door dashed and everytime I'm excited but I feel like the food just falls short. I can't really say too much about the service, the food comes out in a timely manner. I do like how they bring you the food instead of you just standing around. I do like their custard/ice cream or what have you. It's a good treat. When I've dinned in the ambience was good. Music not too loud, nobody being crazy. Just eating food. I've given in 3 out of 5 because to me the food just falls short of delicious. I mean you'll get full but the food we've had is subpar. Worst dining experience ever had. After seeing their commercial about fresh cod despite poor service in past I took family out for a meal. Cod was wet greasy flavorless though they did a nice job putting nice side up. Another had pot roast sandwich was basically a grizzle-joe sandwich and the best of the lot was my pork tenderloin sandwich overcooked to near burnt. They were too busy to hear my complaints that day so I reached out TWICE to get some satisfaction. They gave me a coupon for 1 cod platter and a value basket. Totally not going to gamble again after spending $58 the first time even if it would be half price. I know they do it this way figuring I will not use the gift certificates... its a known restaurant scam but I will find another location. If it's as bad as this one I'm writing off the whole chain. Dining out is too expensive to have poor quality food and even more inferior customer service from their manager. I wanted to point out this visit was on March 10th. It wasn't until yesterday April 5th that I received coupons in the mail. After several exchanges with the manager via email we arranged to send coupons. Unfortunately that was after 2 different complaints filed via survey then the website. If it takes a month to fail to satisfy hard to call it fast food. Culver's has been a revelation to me and my family. As a traditionalist, the ButterBurger with cheddar hits the spot. I appreciate how the beef comes with a little char/crunch. I don't care for the fries, but highly recommend the cheese curds. They're well worth the upgrade price. Also, even though this isn't a traditional fast food spot, and it can get busy, their system for expediting orders is decent. And the food has always come out hot and fresh. Lastly, I'd be remiss if I didn't commend the chicken tenders. They're legit good. Not the frozen kind, but battered on-site. My kids LOVE them. read more

Waited over 40 minutes (and still waiting) for a shake and soda in the drive through. Employees seem completely lost and disorganized. Shake and soda finally came and shake was liquified and ice had melted in soda. We had to flag down employee to ask what was taking so long, and he said because we didn't order food, no one thought to bring us our order. Gave him liquified shake and asked for manager and she said they were really busy but couldn't explain why car after car behind us was getting their order. Ultimately had to request a refund. She offered no other solution for our inconvenience. I should note when we asked for refund, manager demanded we give her the soda back also. Was on my way home last night and really wanted some good fast food, looked it up and Culver's was open so we headed out of our way to get it even had to turn around cause we missed the exit and got there 25 minutes before they were suppose to close according to their website and they were already completely shutdown and the workers were hanging in the parking lot so they clearly had been closed for a minute... like if you are closing early or changed your hours change the website so people aren't driving out of there way to get somewhere then be disappointed read more

The only thing that could improve Culver's is table service and ice cold beer. The Double Deluxe Hamburger with crinkle fries is a great treat after some power shopping at Costco. On second thought, who needs beer when you can have a Culver's Root Beer. Once you've tasted it, you'll wish it was available in a six pack to take home. Last time I went I ordered a single bacon deluxe but ended up with a double deluxe. Asked for a small shake, was charged for (and received) a medium. The girl that was working the speaker didn't read it back and the screen wasn't working for me to see that she had typed it incorrectly. The girl at the window was not at all friendly. And it was a different girl than the one that took my order. I understand that mistakes are made but this one was completely avoidable if she would've just read the order back. Maybe I should've asked her to read it back, but it should just be part of the routine in my opinion. And if people could just put on that fake smile like they should when they interact with customers... It really makes a big difference!
