Sometimes Raising Cane's is a hit or miss. This encounter was a miss with food quality. I ordered a Caniac combo. The breading on the tenders were soft and kind of mushy. I had to pop them in the air fryer to crisp them up.It helped a little but not much. The fries weren't as crispy as I would like them. They were soft. The bread and slaw were fine. The staff were polite. There was no wait in the drive thru. The parking lot is always clean and well maintained. Ample parking outside. Sometimes it can be a little hectic exiting the parking lot, but it's manageable. read more

Best Canes experience I've EVER had... I have reviewed this location 8 times now, and this is going to be the 9th and Final... Simply put the Caniac Combo I had today at Canes in Maplewood was the best I've ever had. The toast was buttery, crispy and caramelized, the fries were perfectly salted while being crispy on the outside with the right amount of squishy on the inside, and the chicken was the crispiest and most generously breaded that I have ever had from any Canes ever. Every bite had those little crispy bits on it, no mushy pieces of breading falling of in the box or in the canes sauce (IYKYK). The chicken hiding under that incredible breading was soft, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Now I'm not going it ignore the fact that Canes chicken and breading is still pretty bland, but the texture and cook time/temp was absolutely perfect today. I honestly don't think its possible for a Canes to be this good again, and that is why this will be my final review of this specific location, ending this 9 part saga on an incredibly high note! I love the whole take out chicken fingers/tenders etc option especially when I want something I can eat in the car on the run. This Canes is clean enough, the staff and service seemed ok for fast food chicken, for sure well above the service you get at Popeyes. But...IMHO compared to Chick Fil-la or Popeyes, the food here just does not measure up. It's not cheap by any means and the breading is, well not very interesting as in very white bread suburban- American-will not offend anyone. Kids seem to love them, but I suspect it's more to do with getting chicken strips than brand loyalty. The food is good, for what it is. Their secret "Cane's sauce" is good, but it's not difficult to whip up something similar or better with some mayo, ketchup, Worcestershire, hot sauce to taste, etc. Staff was not friendly today, and it feels like the prices have gone up, and it's not a good value. I'm not sure who decides how many dollar signs to assign to these restaurants, but I feel 1 dollar sign is too few. We just paid $10.49 for a box combo, which does not feel like a good value, and not a 1-dollar-sign value restaurant. We went through drive-through today, but have eaten in on previous occasions. The chicken fingers have shrunk in size and prices increased. The employees hate the customers and don't even acknowledge you when at the counter. If they mess up your order they act it's your fault and don't even offer up any type of apology. Dining in is a miserable experience as the music is played at high volume. (And I used to work at live music venues or bars). Plus the employees just stand around and talk to yell at each other. I'm so glad I stopped in for lunch. The chicken was sooo tasty and delicious. I went for the box combo. It comes with four tenders fries, coleslaw and Texas toast. I went with double fries and an extra Texas toast. Listen from the first bite to the last bite I was completely satisfied. My palate was titillated by such zesty seasoning and sauce. I'm always impressed by the management and staff at the Maplewood Raising Cane's. This is my husband's most frequently-visited Cane's location, and each time we (or he) goes they are always friendly, and the food is hot and fresh. If there ever is a forgotten item, it's easy to call up and let them know. They are always happy to fix it, and often will comp you your next meal. Such wonderful customer service! If you order their Naked Tenders, you'll be asked to wait in a parking spot since they are made fresh. It's never too long of a wait, and quite a few times the staff has thrown in an extra tender or two for the wait. Thoughtful and always appreciated! Well I have been going to cane's because once upon a time it was a decent product. No more as they have raised the prices 2.50 a box and now have made the strips themselves 1/3 of the size the originals . I always have really good service I love their hot sauce they're super fast at making my food and they always say the right things in the drive-through to me. Just the greeting you get when you pull up is worth it. The creativity in that building is through the roof and it's insane I never know what I'm gonna get. Well actually I do because they only have like five things on the menu. Their bread is always so soft I don't know how the hell they do it. Plus they're open super late so I go after I work out at the gym and it makes me feel like I really didn't just work out because I put the way back on but life is about consistency and I'm just fine with that. They would never let me down and I spent so much money there I literally go there every week. I get this plays five stars and I would give it six if I could. My boyfriend loves the caniac combo. The service was ok. They don't have ranch. The fries were decent, but the chicken had no flavor other than flour. The caines sauce only tasted like ketsup and mayo with salt and pepper. The music was playing so loud we could barely hear each other talk. When our food was ready they called me by a man's name not even the name I gave them. Will not go back. But let's talk about the Cane's sauce....I can't get away with not ordering extra which they will charge you for and I will happily pay. The tangy delicious sauce I use with both the chicken and the fries. Fast, friendly, and super attentive to people's needs. I always ask for my chicken fingers naked (no breading just fried) and even though it takes longer to make, none of the employees even fuss or make a scene. Love Cane's. They're the In-N-Out of the Deep South and St. Louis is fortunate to have several outlets. For me the sign of a quality fast-casual food is just how quickly it works through my body. I can wreck a Caniac Combo (six fingers) with two sauces and two Texas Toasts and a Sweet Tea in a few minutes. Without fail, driving home the stomach starts to gurgle - it's either clench or be clenched all the way home. Once I had to pull over to a Mickey D's to use their rest room, while the men's stalls were all full I had to duck into the lady's room or face the consequences of some seriously delicious and addictive chicken. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to go. The chicken fingers have this phenomenal breading that is light but also very crispy. The meat is cooked to perfection and very juicy. I of course dip them in the Canes sauce which is one of my favorite dipping sauces of all time. The side of crinkle fries that comes with the basket just compliments the meal. I dip those in the Cane sauce also! The drink choice to wash it all down is their fresh brewed sweet tea which I consider right up there with the very best I've had. The two people who took our orders were the rudest I've experienced in a long time. For example, register showed .99 so I gave a dollar. With attitude I was told it's $1.08.
